History: Isi was born into a male-dominant pride, where gender roles were very stiffly enforced. She had a clear talent for learning herbs, medicines, and healing techniques. She managed to get some quiet lessons, but the pride would never accept her in such a role. She left as an adolescent, full of righteous indignation and high hopes. Real life intruded, teaching her valuable lessons on humility and the realities of rogue life. She kept up her studies into medicinal plants, learning from others as she traveled, treating those she found who needed it. She even stopped a couple times to lend a paw during times of war in other lands.
This all changed when a band of wild viking lions stormed the camp she was sheltering with near a watering hole. A young male had urged her to let him take her as his thrall, or slave, so that she could live to heal others later. She had agreed, after hearing the wailing cries of the other females in the group. She wasn't entirely thrilled to be forced into such a position, but found Hroarr, her new master, to be fair. His protection meant she went without the beatings she saw some of the other thralls receiving, so she learned to hold her tongue and be content. Now that they are stuck out in the boonies, she is hoping to get to use her medical skills more in order to curry favor with Hroarr.

History: Siesha was on her travels to learn of pain, woe, and heartache, when she met Tarian. Lightning storms had ravaged the area, the clouds overhead sparked and snarled. A brilliant glow of flame highlighted the form of a lioness, and a high wailing keen cut through the howl of the wind. The wild dog, drawn by the sound of wordless anguish, went to investigate. She found the lioness, surrounded by flames, perched upon a rock with the lifeless bodies of four cubs.
A bond was formed between the two, as wild dog comforted lioness. Though the feline spoke no words, they soon found they shared self-expression through dance. Thus they became inseparable.
The song above narrates her and Siesha appearing one day during the pride's dawn ceremony, frolicking and dancing in the early golden sunshine, moving together to their own beat of joy. It was then that they learned of the nature of the pride and chose to stay, having found their rightful place in the world.

History: Born into the huge Pridelands, she was one among many many other cubs. She tended to be quiet and shy, but always willing to help. She grew into confidence and sincerity, learning to hunt with her fellow pride members in large groups. Life was very good.
Early into her adult life, a cub came to her with a prophecy. A vision that foretold that Taaniis's one true love was out there somewhere, waiting for her. Heedless to the danger or the questionable source of the vision, she flung herself whole-heartedly into searching for this male. She left her homeland behind and walked alone into the roguelands.
It was there that she learned that not all is sunshine and happiness. Her hunting skills lacked woefully, though a chance encounter with a rogue helped her hone her ability that allowed her to feed herself. In the end, though, she was caught by an unpredictable and disastrous wildfire. She managed to remain above the flames on a pile of rocks, but still was scorched. When she fled, the embers left on the ground for miles around seared and blistered her paws.
By the time she came to the edge of Kitwana'antara lands, she was delirious and mostly unconscious. She was taken into the pride and administered to. After sleeping for days, she awoke to find a male hovering near, his touch more soothing than spring rain. Her convictions upheld, she declared her love for this wonderful stranger, and everything in her life fell into place.
She now resides contentedly among the diseased lions, a carrier herself. She has full faith that the Lady of Pestilence brought her to the pride in order to bring happiness to her and Lutum's lives, and thus serves the goddess faithfully as her priestess.

History: Born into the restrictive U'W to a kajira mother, Rasima was raised by lionesses who were not her mother. She resented this, always insisting that these females could not order her around, as they were not her mother! This did not make her especially popular and put her on a dangerous path that could have led her to become kajira like her mother, who had been relegated to that status by a cold Pad who was disappointed that she had a twin sister in the pride already. It didn't help that it took Jazua some time to learn to hold her tongue either. But Rasima and her sister Asmar were growing to fair imitate their real mother.
Determined that they not suffer the same humiliation and abuse that she had, Jazua trained her daughters secretly, so that they would know how to survive in the roguelands on their own. When they were as ready as she could make them, she sent them out on a stormy night, warning them to guard their tracks and to travel as she had taught them, so that they might not be caught and brought back. Together the sisters managed to escape, leaving their mother behind to face the punishment for their escape.
While still troubled by this, and by her sister's immediate departure from Rasima, she has pressed on, finding new wonders and adventures in the roguelands alone.

Personality: Nan likes to think she is the more socially adept twin, but in truth she is equally awkward as her sister. She simply tries harder to fit in. Her jokes are too cerebral, though, and her attempts to mimic social behavior very stilted. Despite this, she has a very good and tender heart, and her feelings are easily hurt.
History: She and her twin sister discovered early on that they could tell much from an animal's bones. Curiosity about what death leaves behind led to increasing knowledge and perception, until the pair became highly adept at not only telling how an animal died, how old it was, and what gender, but also at tracking as well.
