.Gimme Your Disease. Your Name: Excited Apathy Your Character's Name: Unguzo'damu Image: TWEWY Leopard Is this an original member of the pride or are they brand new to join? New. What rank do you see them obtaining or gunning for? Spy~ ninja Reasons why the rank would fit them? He's been a scout for the Mizimu (and for a brief time, the Dhati) all of his life--a role that was as much spy as scout. He not only survived being on the losing side of the war, but (re)joined the winning side with nobody the wiser. Granted, this wasn't hard for a non-lion, but still. Personality?: An ambitious, bold male, confident in his abilities, swift and silent on the prowl. He hates being at loose ends, and craves purpose and usefulness. He's good at gathering information, damnit, and doesn't want that skill to go to waste--and he won't shrink from trying to blind the enemy or thin their numbers if he can. Brief History?: Uneasy with the Mizimu'tungika's sacrificial ways and discontent with remaining a scout for a pride he didn't fully believe in, it was an easy thing for the Dhati to sway this hot-spirited young male to their cause. Suspicion slowly grew into trust, and from trust it grew to fervent belief. He began to scout for the Dhati, entrusting in his lack of a spirit to keep him hidden from the Mizimu's frequent consultations of the spirits. After all, the Mizimu'tungika didn't have sole claim upon possessing those that are invisible to the eyes of the spirits...
He did his job. He did it well. But it wasn't enough, and with the rest of the Dhati dead or enslaved, Unguzo slipped back into the only other life he'd ever known. He was spiritless, after all...as invisible off-duty as when scouting. Nobody had noticed his defection, nobody noticed his return. And when the plague devastated the pride, he didn't even have the purpose of scouting for a pride at peace left.

.Gimme Your Disease. Your Name: Princess_Feylin Your Character's Name: Cor Oxidat Image: cert, uncert Is this an original member of the pride or are they brand new to join? Original What rank do you see them obtaining or gunning for? I think I had her apped and approved as a bard. Reasons why the rank would fit them? She likes to tell stories and be the center of attention and generally know everything about everyone. She does have a tendency toward lying, but she doesn't mean any harm by it. Personality?: (From the contest I won her with, I think). Cor is fiercely loyal to those she loves, and indifferent to everyone else. But whether she loves someone or not, Cor will lie to them. She can't help it, and she doesn't want to help it. She'll tell big lies ("I heard that the high priestess is in love with a hyena"), little lies ("I didn't take that"), and everything in between. She doesn't think much about plausibility, and will frequently contradict herself within a single breath. Aside from the lying, Cor is a pleasant cub who doesn't actually mean to do anyone harm and just likes to have people listen to her.
Because her father is frequently out scouting, Cor was raised mostly by others, but she idolizes her father, being too young to understand most of her parents' story, and only seeing it as a story about her father, which means he must be the hero. No one else in the pride is as wonderful as her father, and any criticism of him is met with fierce denial. But as long as that doesn't come up, Cor's a perfectly agreeable cub, aside from the fact that she lies to everyone about everything, simply because she enjoys the power that comes with lying. She's better at lying to cubs, since they don't intimidate her, but she lies to adults just as readily, though with less success I would imagine. Brief History?: Cor was the only daughter of a very angry lioness. Her mother fell in love with a scout of the Kitwana'antara and gave herself to him, knowing about the pride's disease and choosing to take the risk. When she fell ill and pregnant around the same time, her love evaporated in terror that she would die. Interestingly enough, the illness she had was completely unrelated to that carried by the pride, but she didn't see any need to differentiate. As soon as she'd borne Cor, she left, never to be seen again. It didn't occur to her that she wouldn't have been allowed to leave if she'd had their disease. She has never looked back, and Cor has never wondered about her.
She's diseased, and her symptoms will be evident from the first, though they won't be progress past the first stage until she reaches middle age.
I plan to kill her (NPC) father off when she's a little older, which will only make her idolize him more. Also, I'd be very amused to involve her in a Boy Who Cried Wolf-type plot, where she's actually telling the truth about something vital, and no one will believe her. Lots of frustration, but personal growth may or may not happen. People don't always learn from their experiences, after all.
