Personality: Laughingmoon is one to run and feel free, but he knows his duties, he knows that the pack always comes first even at a young age. Always one to uphold the needs of the many over the needs of the one. Like most young, he does enjoy getting into trouble. However not all his trouble-making is not also training for him from stalking the bugs or other creatures, to play hunting and fighting to build himself up for when he gets older and can help the pack. Strong willed, he'll do his best to make a mark.
Prompt Response: This would be the first time he was actually caught by his father, or at least the first time he had actually went to the border and then began to go past it. Usually he was pretty good about not leaving the pack and almost always stayed within range, however this time was different, this time something had sparked his interest and made him follow his gut reaction that that something needed to be followed. Whatever it had been was not lost to him but still the feeling lingered, a hair raising, skin crawling, nagging feeling that didn't want to subside. Needs of the group versus needs of the many, that was his excuse.

"I know father..." replied the young pup with neither a mocking nor disrespectful, "but.." He shook his head, what he really wanted was to be a mock scouter, to look for trouble and chase it away. That's what he was doing, "I chased something bad off our lands." He gave a slight triumphant huff and then avoided his father's gaze out of respect. The glance though showed that his father could see right through him, Laughingmoon always wanted to grow up to be a scout. It was his dream.

Whenever he had free time, which was almost always, he'd always be on the look out for things about the den and in most cases it was either another of the pack, another creature, or some insect. At every chance he had he'd alert his family of anyone incoming not matter what time of day it was and would even try to scare them off at times. Snapping from his reverie of the den and his play scouting he had begun walking away with his father to the main pack.

Explaining that he wasn't angry, Laughingmoon was relieved but shocked that he was being congratulated on his scouting. His dream seemed a lot closer now with the appraisal, it wouldn't go his head though, oh no, he'd continue to work on it but inside the safe boundaries where his father wouldn't have to worry that something might steal him away. He'd make his father proud, most definitely.

This is going to close at 10:30PM EST. I'm going to a diner with friends at 11-11:10 so that should give me enough time to roll and MAYBE announce the newbie winner, we'll see.
