Why this video: Honestly, I love this song and had it on repeat on my ipod forever! I even went to sleep with it playing one night and by the time I woke up, I memorized a lot of that song. Not only that, but the translated lyrics gives a feeling of a young person heading out into the world for the first time on their own, as if on a awesome adventure. think this is what I feel towards this cub, even if he doesn't leave the pride.
Personality translation: I can really feel that this song would fit this cub well through the translated lyrics (though we're not in a modern, humanized land here, but still), even though he wouldn't leave the tribe permanently or at all he can dream of what it's like out there in such a large world that has many mysteries to it. He's a bit of a daydreamer I would think, as well as seen as a bit too eccentric and might come up with some out-of-this-world ideas as well. but even then if need be he can become serious when pressing matters are at hand and become a bold lion in times of real need by his family or his pride.

Why this video: I choose this song because its a very inspirational song, and it fits what this cubs personality would be like.
Personality translation: The way I see it is Ra'if's a boy who while he's out searching for his first banu, he ends up getting in major trouble. The trouble ends up with him lost, alone, and afraid in a land unknown to him. He's scared to continue forward after the trouble he had gotten into. Part of him wonders if its even worth continuing forward, for the fear of getting hurt or in more trouble is logged deep in his mind. If it could happen once what could stop it from happening again. Then while he feels like nothing is worth moving forward, he remembers his family and their bright furs shining in the land he calls home. They would be waiting for him to return, and he would only cause them pain if he didn't. He soon realizes that no matter how afraid he is, he has to stand and continue his quest. He has to see his loving family again! So with all his might and courage he stands up against his fear and pain and trudges onward to complete his mission. Courage blaring, he walks forward determined to move and see his family once again.

Why this video:It reminds me of the desert, of the open expanse of land that can lead you to closer or further from yourself, and the people that keep your heart and your soul until you return back to them.
Personality translation: The song reminds me of what a Banu might think or how she might care for Raheem, and if you listen to the lyrics you can see the under laying personality of the male lion. Strong, honorable, silent with his thoughts, but generous with his affection. Doing the bidding of his Sultan, even if he has doubts about his ability or his success, and always coming home to the waiting arms of his Banus.

Why this video: would describe him when he's older - feelings towards friends and banu, and how he wouldn't want a friend to be a banu because of the whole "owning/ordering" banu around thing - friends are friends, not someone who he'd want to have rights over! but inevitably he wouldn't be able to NOT have a deep and close friend as a banu. conflicted boy :p
Personality translation: Umar would feel how the song describes friends - he'd make friends with a lot of others in the pride, including other female, and wouldn't take the friendship for granted ever. He doesn't care about status or outdoing someone else, and is rather goodhearted and caring and kind. He's also honest and forthright, feeling bad for females who are treated harshly within the pride - he would think other cruel pads could be a little more kind. In the future, he'd think it's wrong to take any female friends as a banu because friends are different than those under his control. He's going to be conflicted when he grows up in love with any female friend (or perhaps even when he begins loving a banu he captures in the wild), because he feels bad about "using" loved ones or being in a position of dominance over them. He's going to try his best to separate friends/ones close to him, but will inevitably fail, and come to realize that he can maintain equality and happiness even if his friend-lovers are also banu.
