Entry for Edited Lioness

Lioness' Name: Lahaula
Meaning: God Forbid! // Swahili
Your Name: Velveteen Angel
Brief History: Lahaula was born into the Mungu'Sikuzote (( this pride only exists in roleplays currently, but there are plans to officialise it)), a pride of lions who believed themselves blessed by immortality. She rose to Wataawa (high Priestess) rank once reaching adulthood. She watched the then Crowned Prince, Majaliwa-barikiwa, exiled from the lands for disobeying the Supreme God's will. She also saw the Healer, Kibaazi, exiled for the same reason. Still, her faith in their god did not shake. Until the brother of the crowned prince thought she was getting too powerful in the pride and told his father that the Gods told him that death would come to those around a female with eyes of green. All females with green eyes were exiled immediately, Lahaula included. Blinded by herbs and thrown down the river out of the pride, she was thrust into the rogue lands without sight or faith to guide her.

Brief Personality: Lahaula is a firm, no nonsense female. She'll whack you upside the head and rant at you for a good hour if you're wrong about something. She no longer believes in gods, thinking them a trick that her pride thought up to fool them all. She is bitter, but she is a survivor. Her blindness will make her more vulnerable to physical attacks, so she pushes people away verbally and emotionally, not allowing them close enough to hurt her.

Brief Description of Plot Idea with Characters Involved:
Meet a god | Perhaps the God of Obsession? Her bitterness against gods will become a denial of their entire existence, so meeting a god would shake her to the core and realise that not everything the pride taught her was a lie...just most of it.

I Found a Prince, May I Slap Him? | Majaliwa is living with a female in the rogue lands, and Lahaula stumbles upon him. As they're both blind, it would be a awkward realisation of who he is, but she would yell out much of her rage at him.

Seeing the World | Majaliwa will take Lahaula to Kibaazi, the outcast healer, who will return part of her sight to her. She will never see the world clearly, but she will no longer be completely blind.

Entry for Edited Lioness

Lioness' Name: Ni
Meaning: Babylonian name meaning "I came from myself"
Your Name: Andranis
Brief History: Ni refuses to talk about her past. Whatever it is, it's dark... Word is, she killed a lion. With her tail. Nobody knows how, but she ripped that earing right off his ear.
Brief Personality: A stoic lioness, Ni tends to prefer to keep to herself, but she'll interact with others if she has to. She'll often attack anybody who thinks she's a male who lost his mane(How they miss the lack of other things is beyond her, not that she stops to ask). Ni likes power, bowing to few, and often kissing a** to have said power.
Brief Description of Plot Idea with Characters Involved: I'm actually torn on where she'd go - Either the Maestros del Mar, or the Ashnai'le.

Maestros - Ni'd be clawing her way up to Captain, determined to prove herself a formidable foe. If anybody tried to argue with her, her claws would be at their face and throat and they'd say hello to the previous owner of her earring.

Ashnai'le - Nill still work her way to power, kissing a** where she needs to and kicking a** and taking names elsewhere. Her first loyalty would be to Sahen, doing as he says and using her coloring to blend in with the folliage around the pride to spy on the denizens.

Either direction - She'll find some poor boy along the way, and bully him into being her personal slave.

Entry for Edited Lioness

Lioness' Name: Jenga
Meaning: It means "to build" in Swahili, but it was chosen for its sound.
Your Name: [Eskimo]
Brief History: It's probably not a good idea to ask her about herself...
Brief Personality: Brusque, black-and-white, stubborn, a bit rough, not feminine.
Brief Description of Plot Idea with Characters Involved: Jenga lives in the jun gle. She's always on the move and never stays in the same place for more than a day. She normally travels a bit each morning, partly due to her Mandrill companion, Rangi, who also doesn't like to stay put.

Jenga is, loosely put, a bargainer of sorts. She gives blunt advice or solutions to others' problems for a price--jewelry, some ingredient or other, food, anything like that. She also trades various mixtures of natural ingredients like paints, powders, and drinks (similar to Rafiki's concoctions in TLK, only her Mandrill friend makes them) for the same type of price. If you've got a pain or ailment, just describe your symptoms and let her and her Mandrill look at you--they'll probably be able to tell you what's wrong, and, for a price, even help you get on the road to recovery (not that she really cares what happens to you either way). If you offer her something she wants, Jenga will help you out. Most of the time. "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine."

She's kind of like a lone witch doctor of the jungle. Her existence is spread around by word-of-mouth of those who've had the chance to speak with her (her success rate is extremely high, after all).

Anyone can find her if they're willing to do a bit of absent-minded wandering into the jungle...

Entry for Vutha

Your Name: MoonRazor
Prompt Response:

Vutha had not enjoyed the last few moments of his life. The cub’s words (he didn’t know its name) still rang in his ears: “Vutha, Vutha, Fira run off again!”

Again? What did it mean, again?

The reason he had failed to find himself responsibilities within the pride was simple: he didn’t want any. So far, that had worked out just dandy for him except for moments like these, when his mother decided to put children into his hands. It didn’t take a genius to realize that children were rowdy and Vutha did not really bother watching the children, which came together to mean that… Fira would run off again.

Of course, he hadn’t exactly counted on being in charge of runaway cubs. As far as he had known (and still knew), home was a happy place to be and he couldn’t for the life of him figure out why anyone would want to leave. So what was this silly little cub doing, running off for no good reason?

Then dread had hit him. It wasn’t because the cub was gone, no. For all he knew, “Fira” could take care of herself just fine and didn’t need his help out in the great big desert. It was more the disappointment that might come from his mother. She had trusted him with a job like this, useless and boring as it may be, and now that he had actually lost a cub, he had let her down. Vutha swallowed nervously. He didn’t really want to let his mother down.

“Well… go find her!” He suddenly blurted aloud, glancing down at the wide-eyed cub dancing at his paws. “She’s your sister, you should know where she went. Right?” The cub blinked, and Vutha could almost see the tiny gears turning in its little head. Then, the light bulb. The cub’s eyes brightened and he nodded eagerly. “Good, go find her.” The cub turned tail and scampered off, presumably in search of his sister. He pelted his way up a sand dune and over and disappeared from view.

Wait.

Vutha stared dumbly after the cub for a moment. Now, he had… zero cubs. s**t. Clearly, his genius idea had not been so ingenious after all. He could just imagine the shock on his mother’s face, the anger flaring in Seide’s eyes when they saw that he was alone and cubless. Suddenly, a tiredness flooded through him. Being caught between a hard place and… well, a hard place was certainly not his idea of fun. But he thought that he much preferred the idea of prolonging the necessity of dealing with his angry family to the idea of hunting down two cubs in a desert. With a sigh, he heaved himself up onto his paws, shook the sand from his coat, and set off, tracking the tiny pawprints in the sand before the wind blew and even those were swallowed up by the vast desert.

If there aren't any entries I like for Bidii by that time, I will save him for something else. Feel free to continue to enter for all of them, however!

Entry for Bidii

Your Name: SSBrosB
Brief History: Bidii was a wanderer for a bit, surviving on what he could, until he met up with another male rogue lion. Figuring he could beat the other, he attacked. For the first time he learned that he wasn’t as strong as he thought. That however did not stop him from training and challenging others. He often lost, but when he won, it would boost his self-image of a strong, smart, and smooth male.
He had a fling with a female lioness for a bit, but when she did not produce any cubs, he left her, both of them deciding that they did not want to stay with each other. Eventually, he found a small plateau with a few rocks that he decided to stay at.
Prompt Response:
Bidii shouldn’t have been taken aback by his mother’s appearnce, but he was. She was actually asking him to go back to the pride? He was only considered it to help his brother. He must have had a surprised look on his face because Nyumbani moved her face a bit closer to him. “Bidii, you need to come home and stay.”
He took a step back, the situation becoming very uncomfortable for him. He couldn’t go back. He left; he didn’t quite feel like following the “rules” of the pride. Gathering his courage he set, what he thought was a stern and serious look on his face. “I cannot go back.” He replied, his voice as firm as he could make it.
It was her turn to look surprised. “Why?” Bidii wanted to sigh. “I would say I don’t belong, though I doubt that’s something you would accept. I know that my brother may be in trouble, but I have left the pride, for good. There is no going back for me. I’ve left it, if I go back I probably won’t be accepted that well, I don’t quite agree with all of its’ rules, and well, many other reasons that I don’t want to say right now.” He sucked in a breath, trying to end while looking cool. “So, you can stay for the night, however after you have rested, you need to leave.” He wouldn’t let her talk him into going back. He turned around and went back to his regular resting spot. He knew she would pester him a bit more, but for now, he was done with the conversation.

Entry for Bidii

Your Name: NovaCracker
Brief History: After leaving, Bidii roamed, roamed to find whom he was and where he belonged. It was a chance to learn who he was, where he fit in, and he embraced that, holly. Now he walks the land awaiting his nect step, his own destiny.
Prompt Response:

When he'd left she'd scolded him for abandoning them, turning his back on them, words that stung painfully.

She'd called him a traitor, but he did what he needed.

Now she'd come to him.

Bidii wasn't sure he wanted to go, to return to the place he'd been torn down for the mother whom had torn him down.

But thwy were family.

He rose, paws leading him for the old home, old land he knew his family was in, and began his journey, mind pulling options for defense. Warn he would leave. Fight as neeeded. Run at night.

But he loved them.

He recognized he was messed up and curled up, sighing quietly as he moved. It was that curse of loving his family holding him, and he didn't fight, moving to go home.

He would escape as needed. He was needed. In his own, bumbling way-- even if he was being set up.

He just refused to be trapped by his mother's obsession anymore.
