First mission done in a while @.@
Bad Luck No. 133
Posted By: Annoyed Bystander of New Bark Town
Request: Apparently there is this Pokemon that is a bad omen to the alleged quiet suburbs of New Bark Town. It is said that Absols are known to forsee major disasters, but apparently there is a Pokemon that causes it, or so it seems.
An Eevee, cute and eager as can be, roams these streets. Its a stray unfortunately...rather it was that way at birth or was abandoned is unknown. What is known is that it tends to plunder trash cans, looking for whatever edible leftovers it can find. However, in doing so, it makes quite the mess, and when confronted by the angry locals about it, or when confronted by a Pokemon trainer out to capture it since after all, Eevees tend to be a rarity, disaster usually follows, anywhere between injuries, building collapses, traffic accidents, the works. Because of which, people call that Eevee a walking bad luck charm. Sure it may seem like a string of coincidences, but others are rather skeptic of that.
This is where you come in. You are out to get this Eevee by any means necessary. You have the license to capture this Eevee, and keep it for yourself if you want. However, in doing so, PLEASE don't cause any more damage than what was done, at least TRY to. Take note though, also, that the Eevee, when confronted, will be very eager by nature to get away, and is rather reckless in doing so, which is maybe why so many disasters happen. Who knows. Just please try to restore peace to the area, ok?
Objective ---Find and subdue the Eevee causing chaos in New Bark Town
Opposition ---Other than the Eevee itself? There are probably other Pokemon that roams the city. Meowths, Granbull, and various city dwelling birds. Who knows, bad luck may be upon you too...
Location ---New Bark Town suburbs, generally located on the Southeastern part close towards the waterway heading towards the Kanto Boarder.
Reward ---x2 Snag Coins. ---Aside from the Eevee, the poster may have something for you...
Allen was gliding over Newbark Town on his hover board, goggles over his eyes, indicating he was on a mission. Zest was clinging onto his leg but was relaxed. Her trainer had gotten used to riding this and they didn't crash nearly as much as they did before. The young trainer kept a close eye on the town below. His goal was to catch that Eevee that was pestering this place. Ever since that mission where they found those Eevees , where he caught his Koffing, he knew he needed to have some variety in his team. And what better than an Eevee? Over half a dozen types to turn into at a whim.
"C'mon..." Allen said, noticing the fox Pokemon resting on a large truck that was driving around town. He sighed. "Gotta be kidding me." he groaned, racing forward as he began to chase the truck along the suburbs. Speeding forward, he jumped on the truck, kneeling low to avoid falling off. Zest took control of the hover board, chasing after to keep up with her trainer.
Edging forward as the truck slowed, he said "C'mon little thing. I'm not gonna- "
The Eevee was picked up by a Noctowl and was taken away.
"Ffffff... Zest, speed up the board." Allen grumbled, jumping on the board as they gave chase. Only, the owl was nowhere to be seen. Perfect. Chances were the Eevee was bird food or worse; that was a trainer's Pokemon. Although that wouldn't be much of a problem. Well, not for him at least not for them. As long as Sub didn't have any problems with that, seeing how a large portion of the missions detailed "NO SNAGGING". That never really made much sense to him. They were Team Snagem after all.
Stopping at a Pokemon Center, he sat down and started to think. There was no way he could figure out who's Noctowl that was. First off, he didn't even know if it belonged to someone. Second of all, that was a common Pokemon in Johto. Kanto had the Pidgey line, Hoenn the Taillow line, and so on. But there was the fact that it was midday. Owls were nocturnal.
Yeah, the chances of a wild Pokemon breaking that pattern was slim. There'd be probably several trainers with them here, but this could be done. That's when Lady Luck went in his favor.
"Get back here!" a disgruntled trainer shouted, chasing after the Eevee just out the door of the Center.
Dashing outside, Allen threw out his hoverboard, jumping on. It was faster than the other boy so he easily managed to get in front of him and stop him in his tracks. "I don't think so." The Snagem said, wagging his finger. "That Eevee is mine"
The other trainer groaned. "I ain't got time for this. Jet! Hypnosis on this punk." he said, Noctowl flying from above, putting the boy and his Magby to sleep. --- "Ugh...." Allen groaned, waking up in an alleyway. Geez, that Noctowl was strong. How was he going to compete with a trainer with a Pokemon that strong? There was a definite gap in experience here. Plus who said that was his only Pokemon? If there was more, then Allen would be so out of luck. But they could always avoid battling and play dirty. A smile formed on his face. He could totally do that.
Walking out of the alley, he looked around. His hoverboard was gone, probably stolen by some punk, but he had his Pokeballs on him still. Thank Arceus for that, otherwise he'd flip out. He'd start walking around the town, looking for any commotion until eventually. "Should totally get a flying type." Allen muttered to himself as he walked on a sidewalk.
Just as quickly, a trash can rumbled, a Granbull fell out, teeth barred, and a banana on his nose. If Allen wasn't so intimidated he'd be laughing. "Hey puppy- screw it!" He high tailed it, running in the opposite direction, dog following behind. He managed to run past a street as the banana was flung forward, tripping Allen as he rolled to the ground.
Getting up, he saw the Eevee in sight, still being chased by trainer. With a toss, the banana hit the Noctowl's face, making it swerve downwards. Now was his chance. "Zest!" he said, throwing the Magby up in the air, towards the bird. She'd slam her fist into her opponent, using a ThunderPunch on the Noctowl, shocking both it and the trainer.
"Get that fuzzball before it gets away!" Allen barked just as quickly, having a ball of fire smack the normal type. It looked tired already, probably from getting chased by the other trainer. Throwing his Pokeball, he thwacked the little thing's he's with it and caught it. Just as quickly, he picked the ball up.
Sticking his tongue out to the other boy, he said "Too bad suckuh." he'd start to walk away as a burst of wind blew him down. Someone's a sore los-
"Is that a Murkrow?" he said aloud, seeing one fly by. That's weird.
"Huh? Yeah, it was with that Eevee." The other trainer pointe it out. Maybe it's Murkrow wa causing the trouble to protect him? Well, he wouldn't figure out. One Smokescreen attack managed to cover Allen's escape.
