Kosuke glared a moment at Jyotika. "Trust me, I want the ones who did this to her as dead as you want them dead. Perhaps we can work together on that front, but until then her health is more important." He shot a glance at Ali. "And considering the situation, the lions from the outpost are all in terrible shape, and the fact they're even alive is of far more concern than how fierce they were!"
His face then contorted into a snarl as he rose to his paws, ears back and hackles raising, as he glared down at Teketeza. "Shula is no WHORE, and you will WATCH YOUR TONGUE you INSOLENT LITTLE WHELP! Your opinions on certain matters are NOT needed nor WANTED at this time, and you will do well to remember to KEEP THEM TO YOURSELF!" He snorted, then returned to supporting Morag. "Come along, Morag... We should get you to the Medic dens.." He shot Teketeza another glare. "You have family here to help you."
When she was sure her mother wasn't going to be doing anything rash, Soleil turned and hurried over to Kidondo. "Regent, do you need me to do anything? I'm not a medic, but I'm willing to help the injured... Or go to the other outposts and warn the other guards... Anything, if it's something!" She didn't want to just sit around as a fat red lump, after all. Her ear flicked. "And as long as it keeps me from trying to rip Teketeza's face off, he's been doing nothing but try to start FIGHTS!" She shot a glare over her shoulder at the gray lion, particularly unhappy about his comment about her mother.

Morag winced as her mother suddenly appeared out of nowhere, materializing at her side with a snarl for her injured state that attracted the attention of one of her brothers as well. All she could help but think was 'Oh, gods, more family....' as her chin was pushed up and the wounds inspected.
It had been fairly easy to push aside her pride and allow herself to be tended after the fight, following the logic that she was among the wounded and further injuring herself would do no one any good... but having all these eyes staring at her, all these questions and accusations swirling around her head.... It was getting hard to sit and allow her weakness to show. She cast her good eye at Seraphina, hoping the healer would have the backbone to stand up to her warrior family.
Any moment now, she felt a shouting match would ensue and that was probably the last thing she wanted to be sitting in the middle of... And there it went as her father faced down her brother and his accusations. A gusty sigh lifted and dropped her shoulders, weariness keeping her from speaking out in her own defense.

The black feline scoffed with amusement. "At least that's amusing to watch." Feeling that his paws were clean enough, and dried due to the desert heat, he too got to his feet to get a glance around. Seems like the natives were shouting orders and running about and yet it doesn't appear much was getting done. The large one that was shouting orders must be a leader of some sort. The authority he exuded made sure he got his way, but it seems the commotion of an attack, intruders, messengers, and panic were causing a lot of confusion for the pride. Thabiti smirked to himself thinking the Hongshan were more organized than this in times of crisis. Though, he had to give them props for they had a lot more on their plate with young ones running about too among their group. Specifically Ute.
The red masked lion came up with Ukuba as he offered his assistance, while he took the time to gather information. The Red Quarter looked to be smaller than the rocks they passed along the way here. This was where they said the Hongshan were living, but it also seemed smaller than the native's. In his mind it certainly felt like a prison to keep their 'intruders'.
He noticed Tswana's glare to the lions who came to retrieve Miah from where he was being held. He didn't like the idea either, but at this point, it seemed it was out of the Hongshan's paws on what happens to him until the native's were done. Though, the red lioness that was around him doesn't make him any more comfortable than he was before. They seemed to be talking but he was too far to hear any words that they shared. What was she saying to him?
"Ukuba, do you think Nawvlee is here? I don't see him..."

Elcca scowled. She wasn't the sort who appreciated being dismissed, even on behalf of the reagents. But all the foreknowledge in the world wasn't about to combat with Kalama and the other guards. Not in a culture structured on rank. It seemed now that the Hongshan's fates were about to be brought center stage.
But the red lionesses' altruism was not exactly all encompassing. Even as she watched the guards escort Miah away, her concerns were not so much for the other lion's well being. Instead it felt as though she were losing a piece to a puzzle she very much wanted to see completed.
Where had she seen that one before?
---
No had a sense things were changing when Kidondo and their daughter moved passed the spot where she had been sitting. Word had reached him then as well. "I know nothing of these others," she said flatly to Kinja. The fact that she didn't was clearly not something that pleased her. One might even go as far to say that in the black cat's mind, she had already determined her own notion as to what game was at play here. Her claws sunk into the soft rock, and she hopped down from where she was.
"It seems some of you did not hear what I said about keeping order," she growled threateningly in the direction of Morag's family bickering amongst one another. "You will do better to keep your personal issues out of my earshot. Let the medics do their job."
She paused for a moment, debating whether or not her desire to see this spy was outweighing the need for someone to keep an eye on the situation here. She looked back towards Kinja, and the few others that were still looking for something to assit in. "There will be order here," she said, leaving her orders at their implication.
As the black cat started back the direction of Kidondo- she caught the eye of Nawvlee and another Hongshan watching the unfolding events. For a moment her temper gave her the mind to simply walk by. But she was also aware of that fact, which gave her pause. "Nawvlee," she said, her voice stern. "It seems we have more of your people under guard. I will know what is going on with your people. I suggest you come with me."
It wasn't much of a suggestion.
---
Miah followed behind Kalama without the need for a shove. It seemed such a curious thing to do! The closer they got towards the regents, the more sounds could be heard from the outside. Arguments, ferocity. More or less everything he had heard about firekin.
Two in particular were approaching, and the guard in front of him seemed to straighten up. The regent? He seemed awfully tired to be a regent. Even against the red coats, he could see the faint patterns of dried blood- possibly not his own.
The monstrous looking lion blinked curiously, before seating himself as the guards came to a stop.
He saw no reason to introduce himself.

Kalama glanced behind her momentarily, just checking on Miah before she turned back to the oncoming Kidondo. Oh, look. He was very close now. "Regent." She greeted politely enough, though her voice was rarely friendly. Now was definitely not one of those times. The red lioness briefly glanced past the regent and his daughter, trying to see if they had been followed or not. It seemed like No was heading this way as well, but she might as well clear things up with Kidondo. Didn't want to make him impatient.
"This is the suspected Nergui." She motioned behind her to where Miah sat. "Ute and I were escorting him to No, on her request." She was surprised that she managed to remember Ute's name like that, on the fly. She was usually pathetic with names. "The other Hongshan are back there." Kalama indicated the direction where they were being held. She didn't want to say how many Firekin were watching them, though, because now, Ute having come with her, she could only think of Elcca and Moto'spaki. The rest had hurried over to see what had happened to their kin.
-
He glanced at the Hongshan male that approached him, and considering reprimanding him for fussing about. It was a noble enough reason, he supposed, to want to help. At least superficially. These lions he was keeping an eye on were not yet to be trusted, and he would hardly suggest they go out among the firekin. "If you wish to help, you may go back to the others, sit down and stay still." To put it bluntly. His voice wasn't unkind as he said it, but not warm, either.
The best thing for these Hongshan to do right, if they wanted to help, now was just stay put, out of the way, not cause any more trouble. "You will be dealt with soon enough." The white lion added with a slight shrug. If Kalama had come to fetch Miah, it meant that the Regents were working on this new issue. They would probably come back soon enough.
Tswana didn't follow Ukuba and Thabiti up to the firekin, perhaps because she already figured it would be pointless. The white lion they ended up speaking to so far had seemed to have an even enough temper, even though she quite disliked him for having tackled down Roho. She huffed slightly, feeling a little impatient now. She wanted those... 'Regents' the firekin had talked so much about to just show up, so she could know about their fate.
Irritated, she glanced to the nearest lion, who just so turned out to be Sjari. "Any thoughts?" She asked him moodily, knowing he wouldn't answer. Predictably, the black lion looked at her, but didn't say a word. He had barely spoken since the Nergui had attacked them, months and months ago. Tswana imagined that when he talked his voice probably sounded hoarse.
Strangely enough, though, Sjari did nod, slightly. He did have thoughts. That was definitely intriguing. But when she opened her mouth to ask him a question, the black lion just looked away from her, in the direction the sounds of the firekin were coming from.

Ute observed the male they were escorting; trying to figure him out amongst the silence. It was proving difficult. Her attention was drawn to the family arguing over the wounded Morag and Ute swallowed the lump in her thought nervously, as the more she saw of the wounds; the more anxious she got. Had she done the right thing? She simply kept at Miah's rear, watching Kalama's hind end as well in order to not stare around at everyone else... or perhaps to not catch anyones eyes.
Soon they were approached by her grandfather, Regent Kidondo. She didn't speak up as Kalama was doing so for her; she felt gratitude towards her for that. She did nod at her aunt though; her blue eyes looking back to Miah for a moment before at her relatives.

Teketeza didn't even flinch as his father got right up in his face. Instead, he stood his ground, a deep frown now fixed on his face as he stooped his head slightly in order to meet his father's eye level. "If that is the case, she must simply be stupid, to fall for a male with a track record such as yours." His eyes flashed darkly. The way he saw things, Kosuke had completely taken advantage of his mother. She was the one who raised him and his sister, so what right did his father have to try and help now?
"I will do as I please, and there's nothing-" He stopped suddenly as he heard Morag let out a sigh, just before her shoulders dropped slightly. She was growing weaker by the minute, and the medics were all too busy with other injured Firekin to attend to her. Then to top it all off, Regentess No had overheard his argument with Kosuke and had been forced once again to call for order. Teketeza glowered back in Kosuke's direction, before turning to his mother Jyotika. "I'll go get a medic." With that, he turned and headed over to where the medics were treating the most injured Firekin.
~~~
Ukuba shook his head. "Ik sraae roqa emdaad baam ossocdad bae sra Nergui, srara ek musrems okikems obuis es." If they have indeed been attacked by the Nergui, there is nothing amusing about it. He sighed heavily as he considered this, before focussing back on the Firekin that he had offered his services to.
The reply he was given was less than reassuring. Although his tone of voice was fairly neutral, it was also quite firm. Clearly their fate was as up in the air as Miah's was. "Very well." With that, he motioned for Thabiti to join him as he returned to the group.
At the mention of Nawvlee, Ukuba offered Thabiti a small smile. He recalled that Thabiti had attempted to escape at the same time as Nawvlee, but sadly, only one of them succeeded at the time. "I ok kira ra ek. Parrovk ra ek baems davs imdar siord ok varr." I am sure he is. Perhaps he is being kept under guard as well.
Nawvlee did not respond to Roho's assertion of allegiance, knowing no words were necessary and that there were bigger things to worry about here. He briefly wondered at how few of the Hongshan he had arrived here with were about, hoping they were keeping out of trouble wherever they were. Hopefully the suspicion against the Hongshan was localized here and he could determine exactly how worried they needed to be before any of the others learned what happened.
When No sternly ordered him to join her, he stayed silent and moved immediately to follow her. He gave no sign to Roho, allowing her to use her own judgement in whether or not to follow them.
Very quickly it became apparent who they were about to interrogate, the dark stranger was very calm and it made him seem even more out of place. Any doubt in Roho's claim that he was not Hongshan was quickly forgotten but he could not immediately judge whether or not he was Nergui by appearance alone. Certainly not from the distance they were at.
"I wasn't implying that." Ali snapped right back, his eyes narrowing dangerously. All the sudden the situation was turning into a bicker fest. The arrival of his sister in-law wasn't helping. Kosuke's temper wasn't getting any better and the situation wasn't moving towards order any time soon. His answers would have to wait.
"Okay, knock it off the lot of you. Yes- she's hurt, we'll find out how and why later. Vowing revenge isn't going to do anything but waste your breath. We cannot let this happen again. Learn from it. Grow wiser," He sneered down towards Morag's injuries, "Grow stronger."
Lowering his voice, he gave Kosuke a short nudge. "This pride's structure is faltering it seems... we need to look after our own. Make sure if one of us is put on watch, another has their back. If this continues to be a trend, our family will be ready for it."
Jyotika purses her lips and narrows her eyes. She wasn't about to be told what to do by a male of all things. She moves closer to Morag and rests her side against her daughter.
"She is MY daughter and I will look after her and declare revenge on whom ever I please. Don't try me my patience has just been worn thinner than it was a moment ago." She snarls at Ali, daring him to question her words.
"You," she turns her gaze on Kosuke, "Help me get MY daughter to the healers." She flickers her head around and smiles, briefly, at her silver son. "You stay here and come and tell me the moment something happens and I can go and chew the ears off who ever dared to touch one of MY children."
She gives a snort, she wasn't fool enough to start an argument with the regent, but she wasn't going to be pushed around by any male. "Don't you worry Morag, your mother will see that who ever did this pays dearly."
wooga Paes The gray lion briefly opened his eyes, having heard his name.They focused on Ea for a few seconds, before moving along to the lions she seemed to have just given orders to. Hm, maybe he was getting helped now. Though Yayuka was a pretty proud lion, he didn't mind being attended to as much as other firekin, perhaps because he had never been exactly what one could call 'hot-tempered'. Maybe he would become more like the firekin, the more time he spent with them. But right now, there was still very much rogue-raised-under-strange-cirsumstances in him.
Besides, he would hardly ever be a good soldier again if he didn't get this paw seen to. So he didn't do much, and just stayed where he was. He wouldn't flat out refuse help now, if it was offered to him. If they could spare it, anyways. Nuria's eyes flicked between the two lions Ea indicated, before deciding that getting the wounded Yayuka--she vaguely recognized his face as a fellow soldier--to the wards should come first before she assisted Singh with the other wounded. Ea had specifically mentioned that particular one, after all. Padding up to to the gray male, she clenched her jaw for a moment at the sight of part of an ear simply...gone. His paw looked none too pretty, either. When they discovered who'd been stupid enough to think they could do this to Firekin and get away with it...she unleashed a couple of her new curses before shaking her head. "We need to get you to the medical wards with the rest of the wounded," she told Yayuka. "How bad is that paw--are you going to need help getting there?" The ear, obviously, was a loss. One just didn't regrow a bloody ear.
The trek back towards the wards was a hasty one. Despite the arguing and general disarray going on down on the training grounds, Ea navigated that path back home with deft precision. The wild cat might have hollered and complained, but she knew her job. She knew her job like a general knew war.
With Vlam, Kakek and Hratchouchi close at hand, Ea wasted little time scurrying into the back rooms and making a mess of things. There were stored herbs and other strange concoctions- most of which had been sorely depleted by the drought. What little water they had on the side of the rocky crevasse cooled the remaining stock. Clawroot would be best, but if Nur'yu was still unconscious it would do no good.
She knocked over a few of the odd jars brought by Veru. One of them shattered on the rocky ground, giving way to prolonged abuse. By the time Ea emerged from the den, Vlam and the others had already arrived. In the distance, a few of the other injured lions were filing in. Hopefully with the other medics shortly behind. Ea could have been all the dictator she wanted, but she wasn't going to be able to do much without assistance.
"Take Nur'yu to the back room!" she directed. It was an area Vlam would know well: that was their den. But it looked like they were going to be a full house shortly. "Everyone else! To the sides. Serious patients towards the back, annoying patients to the front!"
"Anyone who passes through these rocks better be willing to follow orders. If this is not suitable for you, then you can kindly get the kcid out of my ward."
Ea was learning new words!
Kosuke huffed at Jyotika, shooting her a glare. "She's as much my daughter as yours, I put in as much blood and sweat raising them as you did, outside the whole carrying them and nursing them part, and we'll leave it at THAT." Opting to ignore any more outbursts from either Jyotika or Teketeza, Kosuke focused his attention on getting Morag to the medic's dens. He was relieved when they finally reached them, to say the least, and found a good spot for Morag. "Here, this looks like a good, comfortable spot..." He then turned, hissing at Singh. "Ignore my injuries, focus on someone else's, mine will heal fine!"The white lion gave a huff, before turning his attention elsewhere. As he looked around, visually examining everyone, he soon found himself with... Nothing. Singh sat down for a moment, but it didn't last long. He turned back, going over to Kosuke. "There are no others to worry about besides you, now get over here!" Was this Singh showing his spine at last? It was buried in there somewhere, at least!Kosuke's eyebrow went up, before he gave a snort. "Fine." He went padding over, relenting to being tended to. Morag was in good paws.Kiran had been napping, oblivious to all of the commotion both to the north and to the south, when the entire medic area was filled with noise. Just pure, straight-up NOISE. He sat up, blinking large jade eyes, before he looked around. His eyes soon fell on Ea and Vlam, and the juvenile scrambled to his paws, hurrying over. "Is there anythin' you need me to do, Miss Ea?" His ears went back a moment, none too pleased with the word she'd spit out, but he said nothing of it.After much directing from Singh, Shula limped into the medics' den. She was feeling very worn after all that walking, and she suddenly realized how much of a beating she'd taken. How many wounds DID she have? How many were bruises, and how many were bites, cuts, scratches? She barely heard Ea's directions, after warding Singh off, in time to know where to go, finding a spot and lowering herself down. She closed her eyes, body twitching for a moment as she let out a shaking sigh.
It was bliss to finally be laid down on cool stone in the medic ward, her wounds being tended to and, hopefully, her family ushered out and away. She would have plenty of time to deal with them later, when she was in the right frame of mind to address being treated like a cub who had gotten bullied. Everyone would have done better to go find out about the ambush than stand around threatening an attacker she hadn't gotten a good look at and that was probably half way to the Pridelands by now.
The image of the golden lioness swam into her mind and she wondered again at what she had seen. Had it been a Pridelander, with that golden coat...? But... they had always been peaceful, as far back as any stories about them had told. Could they have suddenly turned on the northern pride that they had once had bad blood with? It just didn't make any sense... and why so much commotion when the wounded group returned? Had something happened?
All too soon, her head was spinning from more than the questions and finally, thankfully, Morag passed out from her blood loss and exhaustion into what would hopefully be a rejuvenating sleep.
Azar listened to her father carefully and she was trying to decide on what she was going to do. She knew that it was important to head out and make sure that the others knew what was going on. But at the same time she felt like she had a more important job sticking around. That was what she thought and that was how she felt anyway. She couldn't think of any other way to do it. "I think I'd rather stay with you and help handle these situ-" With her words she was interrupted by the same sight that her father saw. "I really think that I should stick around too. Maybe another solider could spread the word to the others, but it's up to you." She nodded to her father before thinking.
She saw the others approaching and with her father's question she nodded. She didn't think this could be good, especially if she was escorting another. She wasn't very sure at the same time. "I think so." She said simply. her attentions turned toward the lioness's including Ute, she returned a small nod to the younger lioness before waiting for one of them to speak. she looked at her father then at the lioness. "Suspected Nergui." She said under her breath mostly to herself and her father.
The lioness was starting to get a little overwhelmed, not at the task in front of her. Seraphina didn't have too much of a problem with that. However on the other hand the family that was following her at the lioness was starting to drive her up the wall. How was she supposed to do her job at this point. When the regentess scolded the family Seraphina couldn't help but to give her a thankful glance. She was getting upset with this however at the moment she needed to just get the lioness to the den. As she got closer she turned around, she had it with the others. "Look, you cannot follow us into the den. Especially with this behavior. You may wait on the outside, I will tell you when I'm finished."
Sera normally wasn't the type of firekin to snap. She didn't like fighting and she didn't like this that was for sure. She turned quickly into the den and turned her attention toward the lioness and started working as diligently as she could.
((Left Sera kind of out, already talked to blue about it though and it's good <3 Also I'm going to be out of town however with the wifi that I get I will throw in a reply here and there. Please Assume Kakek is off to the side waiting for his aunt to either kick him out or update him to send back to ther est of the family. :3 ))
