I love the Kushiel's Dart series, I'm on book 3 right now. ^^ Xanth is totally awesome. It's much more fantasy than some of Piers's other series. He likes to mix scifi/fantasy. The Abhorsen trilogy is also a personal fave of mine.

1. Tamora Peirce (how on earth am i supposed to pick a SINGLE book from her) 2. Lord of the Rings (yes I have read it) 3. Strands of Starlight (by Gael Baudino) 4. Narnia (all 7) 5. Also Ursula LeGuin is a good author.
Note: This is in no particular order (cept Tamora is my fave author) and was really just whateva i could think up at the time.
They are all good books/authors and i encourage you to read them.

Candy Quackenbush 1) Abarat By Clive Barker 2) The Hollow Kingdom By Clare B. Dunkle 3) The Goose Girl/ Anything else By Shannon Hale 4) Claidi Journals By Tanith Lee (read them in middle school, so they're my childhood favs) 5) The Princess Bride By William Goldman A fellow Tanith Lee fan! Have you read any of her fantasy fiction? If not, I highly recommend her collection, Red as Blood: Tales of the Sisters Grimmer as well as the classic novels, Night's Master and Death's Master. Speaking of women writers, ever read anything by Jo Clayton or P.C. Hodgell?
