Clenching her fists, she lunged at the Hunter from before. Jumping on his chest to knock him down to the ground before she beat at his face in a more direct approach.

This tactic seemed to work out pretty well in her favor. Interesting.

A diminuitive famine horseman stood in front of the doors, shadows twisting behind him in anticipation. Dissecting humans always took Mahir's mind off of things.

Shaheen was so used to getting knocked down by now, it came as naturally as breathing when she rolled across the floor and back to her feet. She knew she was getting beat down, that her fear shield was becoming more and more battered, but she didn't care. All that mattered now was the battle, and the revenge. Hatred for the hunters burned through her, and a hunger for more. More blood, more....something. She was somehow still behind the hunters, despite being thrown around multiple times, but that seemed to be working well to her advantage so far.

Her dagger clutched painfully tight in a whit knuckled hand, she strode forward yet again, her gaze narrowed and deadly.

This time she only stopped once she was directly behind one of the hunters, reaching out to grab him by the shoulder and spin him around to face her. The hunter looked startled, perhaps more by the wrathful look in her eyes then anything else. Hand still clutching her dagger she drew back a fist then threw it forward to punch the hunter in the face. Once, twice, three times in rapid succession. She could hear snapping as the hunters nose was busted, could feel the warm spray of blood against her skin.

And still it just wasn't enough.

It heartened him to see the jiang shi dance about the battlefield, and had he the chance he would have liked to shout encouragement. But the din of battle overrode Mort's voice too easily, for the Hunter group, while battered, still held fast and retaliated with angry swipes. And there was Aymet, crashing into the Hunters with animalistic fury that only heightened the zomboil's adrenaline-filled body.

Well, electrical adrenaline at any rate.

It pretty much turned caveman for the executioner after a certain point. Shik want in. Shik get in. Shik get blood.

Also Shaheen was diving in so much, she couldn't get all the fun.

Perhaps he was a little too distracted, though. Mahir was quickly tossed aside by the hunters without landing a single blow.

And so it was that the battle buffeted Mort to the front where the awaiting Hunters were trying to charge past. Knowing there was little choice but to meet them in battle, Mort clenched his fists and began to send blows this way and that, knocking about several as he moved into a small part of the throng to cut them off. For his efforts he was bruised by a glowing gauntlet and sent flying by the forceful wind cut from a scimitar, but the damage left behind had been done.

Aymet was sent reeling back again and found himself with his back to the door. Folding his wings in, he prepared to defend once again.

Mahir's shadowy arms shot out to ground him, keeping him front and center. He leered from below his hood, sizing up the seething mass of attackers with calm precision.

Their attacks were beginning to wane in speed as the Hunters tired from the relentless assault. Shik's grin spread wider, stained by blood spatter as he rent his claws across the nearest human's chest.

Shaking his head, Tseng managed to recover from that hit, then noticed that he was at the back of the group once more.

The hunters have thinned out a bit. Tseng called out his bow once more, getting ready and taking aim. He wanted to make these shots count. From there, he fired off two arrows in quick succession. A little bit of fear came from his shard to give a small booster as he attacked.

"DOUBLE HEADSHOT!" he shouted as he did so.

She had spotted Mort out of the corner of her eye as she bounded away from the Hunter she'd been beating on. Her fists bloody they ached. But it was...a good ache.

Somehow she'd managed to get off to the side of the Hunters. She wasn't too sure she remembered what exactly had knocked her over to the West side.

Mahir's shadow fingers sharpened into long claws and began to slash into the crowd in a whirlwind of black lines. In such close quarters, it was quite effective.

It was time to fight the hunters, and Soren was ready for it. He did not want to leave the Priestess' side, but there were important things to be had. For example: revenge. There was a blood-thirsty glint in his eye as he headed to where the hunters were, no distortion affects needed to push him to that level. If she felt that she needed protection the Priestess could follow him, otherwise she would probably handle herself just fine.
