He gave the juve a dubious look, the weeping female a similar glance, and then nodded to those who had come to join the search. "Let's fan out and see if we can spot him. He may not be mobile, so we'll have to keep an eye out. If you see the snake, call out so we know where!" Above all, that snake needed to be found! For all Kal knew, the poor male who had been bitten might already be dead. Snake poison could be swiftly deadly, or a slow and painful death regardless of what was done to help the victim.
He shuddered to think of either death. It was not at all the way he wanted to go... but oddly, the thought of snakes, danger, and poison was getting his creative juices flowing. Now was not the time, he reminded himself, and tucked such ideas to the side. They'd still be there later to paint out. For now, the search must commence! "I'll take this direction... he might be looking for water, so listen and look for what might draw him!" So saying, he plunged off the trail and began his search.

It seemed the answer was yes! So off he went to look for this missing lion. He tread slowly, carefully in case the snake was about. His blue eyes were sharp as he looked under bushes and through tall grasses. Occasionally, would stop and listen to see if he could hear any whimpering or anything like that from the wounded one. Ganymede was an excellent hunter, which meant his tracking skills weren't too bad

The small creature began to calm down as the cub told her that she wasn't going to eat her. Phew...that was good! She nodded just a bit as she emerged from the leaves, trembling just a little.
"I'm Dom," she said softly, reaching out with a hesitant hand to touch the fuzzy paw of her new friend. "And sure. I thought I heard something about a missing lion. I know I would want a hunting party to find me if I got lost...so why not?"

"The lioness said he got bit by a snake and is sick! So watch out for any snakes, okay? I don't want you to get sick." Or herself, but she didn't mention that part. Instead, she focused on the fact that she had inadvertently found a new, albeit small, friend to help her in her task at hand.
"It's nice t'meet ya, Dom! Don'tcha worry, I won't let none of them bigger critters eat you, neither, okay?" She gave the small creature a lopsided grin, before putting her nose to the ground and trying to root out the smell of this strange, sick lion.

Dom's large eyes narrowed in distaste. A snake? Ooh...she really didn't like snakes. They were always chasing her out of the good places for sleeping up in the trees.
"I'll try seeing if I can spot him from further up," she offered as Zalios started to sniff along in the dirt. "Do we know what he looks like?" She didn't want to mistake him for another lion, after all. Hopefully he'd be easy to find...if he was anything like the other lions, he'd stand out from the green foliage fairly easily.

"Okay, that's a good idea! Cos you can see farther 'n me, anyway. Uhm! And no, she didn't really say... I guess we know it's a male, so he'll have a big mane! And uhm, I guess if he looks sick?" The youngster offered as helpfully as possible. She dropped down to all fours and walked in a quick circle, thinking to himself.
"I'll keep my eyes out on the ground and if I see him or a snake, I'll hollar up to ya!"

Dom nodded a bit as she committed the description to memory. A sick, male lion with a big mane. "All right. I'll call down to you if I see anything," she said, climbing a bit higher before following the striped cub. She looked this way and that, trying to spot anything that looked out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, all she could see were other lions poking around.
"This is hard," she murmured to herself, scanning the area for anything blue or bright in color.

A snake? A snakebite? Oh no, that was serious trouble. The tiny hare cowered. Someone was missing and injured? He supposed that was why everyone was here then, he could gather bits of information from snippets of conversation. He took a deep breath and strode forward to assess the situation. A mandrill, A baboon, a genet, a lion... So many creatures. He kept two wary brown eyes on the lion and nodded. "I-I will help look." He didn't have anything better to do, and staying on the lions side may at least keep him alive for longer, or so he assumed.

"Thanks, Dom! You're a really nice bush-baby!" Not that she new any bush-babies to compare her, too... But still, she was nice and the juvi was more than thankful for her assistance in hunting down this sick, injured, mysterious male. She plodded along with determination written across her face as she checked behind each bush for any signs that an injured lion might be there. It was hard, though, given all the other animals searching. She wasn't sure if she'd recognize leaves and twigs broken by this mysterious male appart from the leaves and twigs snapped by the others in the vicinity.

Nili wasn't too interested in the lions but she was pleased to to have the baboon off her back. She went back to trying to clean her feathers when movement out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. Her head bolted up to see the genet coming at her. She squawked loudly at the genet, the fanned out her wings and took off into flight off the branch to get away from the genet. "I won't be your dinner today Genet!"

Dom smiled just a bit. As far as bush babies went, she was fairly shy. But when someone was in trouble she always tried to help, even if it was a huge lion. "Thanks. You're a very nice lion as well," she called down before carefully climbing to a different branch of a new tree. She slid a bit lower to the ground to investigate an oddly colored patch behind some leaves, but it turned out just to be a big rock. Drat...
"Any luck down there yet?" she asked.

Mtoto trudged on through the bramble, trying her best to be careful of the plants at her feet. She issued many quick apologies as she passed, knowing she had no time to stop and talk this time. There was a lion out there who needed her, and she was determined that if she could just find him, perhaps she could help with his pain! Granted, she wasn't a qualified nurse at all, nor would she be anyone's first option but her ability to lend a hand never faltered, and she would at least offer her assistance to this male. Jumping with a start, she heard voices to her left, perhaps there were others out on the search as well? For a moment she debated bumping into them, and offering herself to their team, but she knew what most people thought of her around here, and in a time like this, the last thing they wanted was her. [[ Edited to find the male ]] Another noise to her right, though this one was far off. It sounded like a male, and the faint blow of the flower's told her to follow it. She would soon find what she'd been searching for. She'd never been steered wrong by her flowers before, so she really didn't plan to start now. Nodding her head in earnest, she stabilized her footing and darted off towards the noise. The louder it got, the easier it became to track, and soon she was right upon the cave he had been nestled in. She could tell he wasn't in good shape, but knew what she needed to do. "Shhhh you're safe now, things will get better." She tried to offer the lion an small smile, but her nerves were on edge. "I can clean and bandage your bite if you'd like. I'm not the best, but I think it will help til we get someone more qualified."

He was a little curious as to why they were heading towards rocks, but didn't say anything otherwords. Mostly because his throat hurt, but also due to the fact that he trusted that Uchafu knew were she was going. He had no reason to doubt her judgement, especially since she probabley wasn't a nervious wreck like he was starting to seem like.

OOC: Congrats Depawsit!
Once she was near the rocks, Uchafu smiled. A scent that she knew was nearby. Like really nearby. She was able to sniff out the scent of a small meal. Meat. Life. Alone. Sitting down, she stood position, staring at where the smell was coming from and motioned for Haki to catch up and make his kill. Where she came from, hyenas were not to catch a meal for others, especially non-hyenas, and so she carried that tradition forth.
