Jong moved further down the path in a slow manner. He wanted to take his time. No need to rush or at least he didn't feel pressured. The leopard surely knew how to take care of herself if she was hiding from her own kind. So he thought it wasn't necessary to find her right away. Well, he hoped that was true at least because he found nothing again.

Though Desya was the serious sort, usually, something about stumbling on an entire colony of leopards had brought out a festive spirit in him. It usually wasn't his thing at all to play games, but he felt that, since they were willing to host him while he moved through their territory, it was only polite (and fun) to play along.

He'd watched everyone scatter with amusement. Not the hurrying sort, he'd strolled about, trying to gain some distance from the others before he began sniffing about. His method of searching was slow, methodical, and thorough. He used ears, eyes, and most especially his nose. He had no particular drive to find either tokens or leopardess, but it would be an enjoyable way to pass the time. That being the case, he finally stuck his head close to the ground and inhaled deeply, whiskers spread to catch as much air as possible.

Jong, though little, was not deterred by the fact that he had turned up nothing once again. He simply moved onto the next spot to search. A big, brown leopard had joined in the search. The gecko merely passed him by. It was best not to give the big creatures too much attention or they may give him attention in return. In his case, that might not be a good thing.

The leopard drifted towards the central clearing. He was beginning to doubt the existence of anything or anyone to be found. But at least it was good exercise...right? Farraginis nosed through the dirt half-heartedly. Nope, nothing at all.

He wondered what Jayani was up to.

There was much life to scent here, at least. Other leopards roamed, birds chattered above, and even a gecko meandered by. Plant smells were strongest, though, which didn't help much at all when it came to finding the tokens or where the leopardess had been. So, rather than searching frantically, he moseyed. It felt nice to mosey. He had to admit, life in a colony would be nice. He didn't have to worry about watching his back. No loud, stomping elephants. No hissing, snapping crocodiles. No irate herds of stampeding zebra. Nothing but quiet jungle life, felines the same size as he, and the smaller creatures that made life interesting.

The thought crossed his mind that, if he chose, he probably could stay. He wasn't entirely certain he was ready for that, but allowed the idea to settle into the back of his mind to steep a while. For now, he ambled along, letting his paws take him where they will, keeping a sharp eye out for things that did not exist. Why, was that something over there? Ears pricked, he made his relaxed way over.

Farraginis snorted as he decided to check clear on the opposite side of the area. This was ridiculous. He didn't know why he was still looking, because clearly no one was finding anything.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say that this bloody leopardess was pulling the wool over our eyes," he muttered, passing a leopard he didn't know. The other male was not only unknown, but also unfamiliar. Probably not a resident, then.

And look, still nothing. Sigh.

As was expected, all he'd found was a brightly colored beetle, rooting around in the bushes. Not at all irate, he left the bug to go about its business, while he moved on again, strolling comfortably in the mix of sun and shade. This was most pleasant.

Desya turned to listen as another male trundled by, looking less than pleased. Hmm... he supposed it was possible, but he had a hard time seeing this as a wearing, boring activity. "Well, what finer way to be fooled than to wander about at our leisure on a fine, sunny day in the midst of such a beautiful place? And in safety, no less." His tone was mild and lacked any sort of argumentative inflection, despite the fact that he clearly disagreed with the other male. Whether the other enjoyed the game or not did not affect his own enjoyment, however, and with a smile, a shrug, and a polite nod, the brown and white leopard moved on about his lazy search.

Hmm. Was that movement over there?

As more leopards joined the hunt, the bush baby decided it would be best to stay in the trees. She didn't want to get stepped on, after all. Climbing back up to a good vantage point, a few feet above the heads of the leopards, she continued her search. The sun had shifted in the sky just a bit since she began her hunt, and now new patches of the earth were lit up. Perhaps the additional sunlight would help.

Desya watched a bushbaby scramble up into the branches above. He was not the sort of feline to chase anything that ran, nor to kill anything that wasn't feline. He merely watched the tiny thing go, then returned his attention to the surrounding area. Truthfully, it was getting a little warm. A drink of water sounded better than a token at the moment, but he decided to mix the two together. He'd see if he could find a small pool for a drink, and would search along the way. With that in mind, he nosed the air and altered his path accordingly.

He strode through thick grass and detoured around the small bushes, poking his head into their dense foliage, just in case. Thus far, he hadn't found anything, but in a place this big, that didn't mean much. Who knows, the very next bush he examined might be something important!

Jong was just about to look for a place to rest his head when he discovered something. It was another token! A different colored one this time. This one was a copper color. Proud that he found something before he called it quits, he picked it up in his mouth. Then he brought it over to the head leopard or who he assumed was the head leopard. Placing it on the ground, he once again eyed the leopard before heading off to sleep.

It would seem the little gecko was very good at this! Accepting the second token, Nava smiled at the tiny creature. "Once again, you've proven a very able hunter! As you look a bit tired from all that searching, I bid you a good nap!" He then settled back, continuing to watch everyone. After a while, he mentally noted that the gecko was at it again, but at a less frenzied pace. Ah, spirited little guy... He'd have to remember to tell the younger leopards to not hurt the geckos.

Quite suddenly, a giggle filled the air as, quick as a dart, something shot around the trees, moving the various tokens around. The gecko had been lucky to find two when he had! The trickster of a leopardess had gone and moved everything while everyone was poking their noses places!

[OOC:] The grid has been shrunken down, and everything reshuffled! It was turning into a headache, even for me, with all those spaces xd Hopefuly this makes things easier! Here is the new grid, also posted on the front!

Farraginis had to admit that the other male had something of a point, but he'd already joined the colony and so safety was a matter of course. The weather was changeable, as always, but it did ten dtowards sunny days such as this one. All in all, it was one day of many.

Then he saw the leopardess running, quick as you please. Well! That certainly proved she hadn't run off, leaving them to waste their time! Hope renewed, the leopard investigated a grassy area.

Nope, still nothing.

The laugh made Desya look up, glancing around at first with confusion, then with wry amusement. It seemed the game had changed again, which meant everywhere he'd looked thus far was moot. Ah well, it was a game after all! Rather than retrace his steps, though, he opted to keep wandering freely, investigating thicker clumps of grass, bobbing flowerbushes, and the gnarled roots of trees. Movement and color caught his eye, and he turned towards the trunk of a very large tree, intent on examining its roots.

So much for that grassy area. Farraginis drifted over to a more earthy region and pawed around in it some more. Still nothing. But from the sounds of it, some...things...had been found. Not the leopardess, but at least some of whatever it was she'd hidden.

That was promising indeed.

Nava shifted, listening to the sneaky leopardess' laughter. Oh, she was changing the game up... But his gaze soon fell on where a brown and white leopard was looking. He'd uncovered something, it seemed, and it glimmered purple! "Well, looks like the gecko's not the only one finding things today! Congratulations, friend!"
