If you wanted your school to get you a job, you should have gone into a technical school or trade school. That's where they'll teach you how to do a job, and that's where companies look for new recruits. College teaches theories and tries to mould you into the kind of person your profs or department think is right. It doesn't make you much better for any job but research assistant. THat's just stupid. emo I hope I didn't waste my time and money. My brother Blaine went to the same college as me, but he got a degree in secondary education, and is now a math teacher, well was cuz he had to start at a bad school and at the end of the year horrible s**t started to happen so he resigned, but now that he has 1 year of teaching, getting hired at a place he wants to be at is way more likely now. He gets a salary, 33000$ a year. That's why it's easy to major in education cuz you ALREADY Know what job you are going to go in to.
It is always surprising to know how many college grads I have worked with at low-end jobs. Seriously, you can't even begin to imagine how many people have told me that they have a degree in something when they are working a job with me through a seasonal opportunity, or through a temp agency..C'est la vie...My mom is taking me to a temp agency tomorrow. emo

You could never take out a student loan to pay for your education, but that requires developing the work experience early.
Degree inflation is a wonderful thing.
If you want a guarantee a job, they need health care workers, senior care people, technology people. There's lots of places that are hiring if you have the right skills.
Also it could be what your resume is like, or how you look at interviews that is causing you to not get the job.
