Backwards wasn't sure what to make of this warning the strangers had delivered. She wasn't surprised about the hostility that it was met with. 'Kill the messenger' she thought with a wry smile. It was better not to talk about muses in this pride, as it tended to spark strong emotions. She was just old enough to remember the muses, but she rarely talked about it to anyone. The past was the past, now was now. She wasn't sure these strangers had told the entire story, but as long as they didn't try anything funny she didn't particularly mind that they would stay for a while. It was bad form to turn away strangers in need, even if the strangers came bearing bad news or were as mouthy as the smaller female.

Ah, well. Riddlemouth had figured out a way to shut her up. And Backwards doubted that the stranger could back up her angry words with actions. This had been interesting, but the excitement was over now. She was satisfied to obey their leader and with a few leaps she had disappeared into the night.

Alpaca Chobi

She frowned at Goofy. "It's a metaphor, actually." How many lions understood metaphors, though? "They could be LIKE jellyfish... Pretty to look at, but they hide a bite..." Of course, now she was imagining lions with teeth coming out of their butts like back-end mouths... A shudder ran up her spine and even her fur turned a little green at the idea of a butt-mouth. "Thank you, Goofy... Now all I can think of is..." She covered her mouth. "Hrp... Lions with butt-mouths.."

He let out a little huff at the blue lioness as she left, then turned and watched as Chi and Myuto walked off. He frowned ever so slightly, then went over to collect Aurora. For now, he'd let them have their rest. They wouldn't be traveling much around the lands at this rate, he was confident of that... But he was still worried about something ELSE in the area. He eyed Shandor, giving him a mock-sour look. "You make such accusations!" He placed a paw over his heart, feigning hurt. "The scandal that would CAUSE!" It was all in good fun, of course, and there were no worries for Flower Lord about straying. At least.. Not again.

He paused in his searching to give his step-father a flat look. "Be careful, the past can bite you in the butt... Like a jelly fish." Or a shark. He then went scampering over to the nearest older lion he could find. It ended up being Fire Heart herself. "Pardon, ma'am, but... Would you have advice on what to do, if you bring home a, um..." He moved to the thing following close behind him, before shoving it forward, presenting it to the lioness. "Cub?" He cringed just a bit. "And the debt of a god..." He'd never had anybody owe him something, much less a god.

Fireheart paused as Duck approached her, looking a bit odd. She glanced down to her feet as a little cub was pushed forward and she raised her brows in surprise. Glancing up, she fixed the male with a level stare.

"Depending on the god, I'd say bide your time and wait for when you need a favor. As for the cub..." She glanced down at her and gave her just a hint of a smile. "The pride will help you to raise her if you feel you are unable. Just make sure she stays out of trouble."

With that, she turned back with Vodnitvar and headed into the trees, heading to their den.

The black-maned lion gave a nod, before ushering the cub away. "Come on, um... Zibadootee? No, um... Something with a Z..." He'd have to double-check with her later just what her name was, but for now... He had to go take care of both his tired paws and he was sure HER tired paws.
