SubonicXP The Pancham would take the devastating Psychic attack with admirable endurance, remaining standing despite the attack being visibly catastrophic as the tiny Pokemon panted heavily. "That it? We can take such trivial assaults without a problem! Pancham, Comet Punch!" Gourdon commanded, completely ignoring the pain his Pancham just endured for him. The Playful Pokemon was now taking things more seriously as its ego had been hurt, it's not cute! And now it was going to prove it. The tiny Pokemon would rush Telia, jump up to chest height, and while in midair deliver a surprisingly quick and powerful barrage of punches to Telia's chest. The punches were far too powerful for them not to be being powered up in some way, especially for such a small Pokemon. Trivial? That bear didn't care for that attack at all! You could see it all over that thing. The thing that got my attention though was how much full of rage this thing suddenly has. Telia stared in confusion for a moment, but then realized that giving that bear a hug was a huge mistake. She tried to brace for impact, rather the several nasty impacts each punch was being brought down upon her. She stumbled back quite a bit from the barrage, then looked back. Now her feelings was hurt. "Telia, Thunderbolt attack!" I called out. Telia, then sparked a bit, and with a mournful wail, she unleashed the electrical onslaught upon the tiny bear.

Get up right now and Crunch it!" Gourdon ordered. The poor Pancham looked back at its trainer and sighed, struggling back to its feet. With everything it had left in it the Pancham forced its self to charge toward Telia, stumbling some of the way, and then throwing its self onto her and biting down.

This thing barely can stay on its feet! How low can you go?" I asked. The bear came over towards Telia, even she was staring. The first bite was irrelevant to her now. The second one...yea, it hurt, but no where near the first one did. This bear was way too tired and beaten to just keep going. As the bear bit down, Telia grabbed it once again, only, a gentler hug this time. "Gardevoir..." It was pleading to just stop. "How can you even look at yourself in the mirror, pushing your Pokemon to such extremes. I'm surprised that the bear is listening to you still..."

I will not be lectured by such a lowly commoner! No, you are below commoners, you are the scum on the bottom of the barrel!" Gourdon insisted as he recalled his Pokemon from Telia's arms. "You win this time, but this isn't the last you've seen of me! I'll see to it that you are excommunicated from the Battle Chateau! This I promise!" And with that, the angry young lad stormed out of the chateau, leaving Blizzard as the victor of such a ill match.

"There's nothing you can do, Telia." I said. "Unfortunately, there are trainers like that...yet, I'm supposedly the monster around here. Right." "Voir..." "Don't worry about it, Telia. I'll need you later; we got more challenges to look forward to, okay? Just come back for now." I said. I recalled the Gardevoir back to her ball, and gave a sigh. This excursion will not be able to end fast enough.

As Blizzard roamed the halls he would find a door opened slightly ajar, the sounds of two people conversing could be heard coming from inside, they were talking about Pokemon battles it appeared. "Lady Ayla, forgive my brashness but you are still a Viscount even at your age. Why haven't you battled lately?" The younger sounding one of the pair asked her elder. "Because, I only battle men of stature. I refuse to lower my standards just for the sake of a higher title. Some of us nobles still have standards you know..." The eldest woman replied. "Yes...forgive me my lady."

"Miss, you may have to move out of the region to look for something like that. I've only been in this region a couple of weeks exploring the region and everyone I've met thus far sans the one that invited me in here in this very building are the most profound individuals I've ever met. Heck, I met a man only moments ago...I can't see how he can treat his Pokemon like that, or why his Pokemon even takes it." Lets see how they take this...

The elderly woman known as Ayla declared in surprise as Blizzard entered the room. "I'm sorry Lady Ayla, I thought I locked the door!" The maid in the room apologized to the very wealthy looking old woman. "It's okay Julia dear. Please mister...I don't think I got your name. Please, have a seat. Julia, pour some tea for our exotic guest." It appeared that the old woman wasn't exactly comfortable with being around a hybrid, but she was making an honest attempt to be welcoming. "Yes, you might be right in some ways." Ayla said from her seated position at the marble topped table, sipping from her fine china teacup. "It wasn't always this way, back when I was a young lass men were of the highest pedigree. Seems like gentlemen are a dying breed. It's sad really. Tell me, you're a strange looking man, where do you hail from?" She asked Blizzard.

At any rate, friends of mine call me Blizzard...I'm from Mahogany town in the Johto region..." I then took a seat, and looked over towards her. "I came here...I guess I'm on vacation as it were. My teacher recommended it, even pointed out this place as to maybe get some battling experience. Something to use to bring back home and teach at the Mahogany Town Gym. All I've been getting here were stares and criticism for things I have no control over. Some vacation, huh?"

I must admit, I myself was raised to detest hybrids as well, so if I seem...off, to you then you know why. I apologize ahead of time my strange friend." Well that was actually kind of nice of her to admit that. "Would the master care for a Poke Puff?" The maid asked as she presented Blizzard with a tray of various delicious looking Poke Puffs. "Please, try one. They are made from a recipe passed down in my family." Ayla said.

It's not part of the mission...but maybe I can get some insight as to what the hell is going on here. "Huh..." I took one. Another citrus looking one, just as the clothing store owner gave me when I arrived here. "...thank you." I said, taking a bite. After downing the bite, I looked back at her. "So pray tell, what has people up in arms towards someone like me? I'm sure someone with your experience might have some insight."

The lady elder began to tell her story. "Most Kalosians have no idea why they hate hybrids, they just do as it were tradition to do so. It goes back a long time ago, during medieval times, when a hybrid of nobility had kidnapped the king's daughter. Ever since then the royal family has detested hybrids for one reason or another. As time went on the kings and queens that led Kalos had use hybrids as scapegoats, examples as to why Kalos is more pure than other regions. In all honesty there is no true reason, just hundreds of years of ignorance all over one bad apple. It's ingrained in our society." She explained.

I took another bite of the poffin, finishing it off. "It does explain some, though. I don't imagine anything states as to any idea why such a thing happened? Why would a hybrid go out of his way to do that, I would assume knowing such consequences? Hell, for as for anyone know, it could have been simply for love, though probably in that day of age that's virtually taboo. Not unheard of by any means, regardless. Maybe said daughter had the need to get out because the king was overbearing and the hybrid was the ticket out. Tch...just by saying such things is probably going to invoke scorn in someone, I'm sure. Playing it off as trying to invoke conspiracy theories and the like. Regardless, I'm only guessing...history of that day in age, let alone of other regions, was not exactly my strong suit in school. I was more of mathematics kind of guy. Ironic considering that I planned to take up a few history lessons on my stay here."
