Tesei Utakata Taking the two handed smash straight to his head, Beau would find himself planted face-first into the dirt. He would have attempted to block the swing, but he had over-extended his reach with his thrust into Larry's gut and could barely even bring his arms back when the sword connected. "Can I actually learn something before you beat me senseless?" Beau mumbled into the dirt, letting go of his stick as he simply remained laying on the ground. That hit had really shaken him up. "Fine, get up." Larry sighed as he grabbed Beau's hand and attempt to yank him up onto his feet. "Take this." He said holding the sword out.

Beau would grab onto Larry's hand, using it to lift himself up of the ground before he grabbed onto the sword. "So, what am I supposed to be learning here?" Beau questioned, giving a few test swings with Larry's sword.

Beau questioned, giving a few test swings with Larry's sword. "How to defend." Larry explained as he walked over to a small stream, picking up several pebbles from it. "I'm going to throw these rocks at you. When I do I want you to use the broad side of the sword to shield yourself. My teacher says that sword play is more about defending until you find the perfect moment to strike. So I figure defending would be a good place to start. Ready?" Larry asked as he chucked a single pebble at Beau.

Attempting to watch the flying pebble as it hid in the glare from the water, Beau gambled a bit and placed the sword in where he hoped the thing would hit. A satisfying ting would sound off as it bounced off the wooden blade and landed on the ground in front of the Spewpa hybrid. Giving a small pump of his fist, he began to nod at Larry. "Let's try again."

He didn't bother to tell Beau there would be two instead of one, but that was part of the training.

Beau stared at the oncoming rock, his eyes finally adjusting to the glare and giving him some advantage. He swung the sword with a lazy arc, bouncing away the pebble he picked up on. Watching it bounce away, he was prepared to cheer when his wide open mouth was victimized by the second pebble. Quickly choking down the small rock before he could suffocate on it, the Bug hybrid would simply stare at Larry for a moment before sighing. "I'm no good at this stuff, am I? Can't do this, can't be at least invisible at school, and can't even stay in one place. This has been a winning experience." Beau whined out, staring at the ground near his feet pointedly as he thew the sword back towards Larry.

"If you don't try then yeah, you're good at nothing."

Staring up at Larry for a moment before finally grabbing the sword from where he had thrown it, the Scatterbug hybrid would simply stare down the Pinsir hybrid as he spoke up. "Okay then. Let's try this again then. And I'll hopefully start doing better." Beau fired back, standing his ground.
Further back, in the area of forest where Beau had grabbed his stick to duel Larry, a gust of wind would blow away the small coverings that Beau had thrown up over the majority of the clearing to reveal a small camp with only sparse belongings and a single picture of Beau and his father from around the time that Beau and Larry had met.

"Beau! Where in Arceus's name are you!? You went too far this time!" Larry shouted as he walked through the woods which was home to his best friend. The pre-teen Larry was furious with his friend right now, he really did go too far. "They are still putting out the fire! You can't run this time, you got to fess up for what you did!" He continued to shout, hacking away at vegetation with his old wooden sword. It took a lot for Larry to get mad and he was certainly mad.

A puff of powder would greet Larry's constant hacking of the brush, a wire planted in the brush having been triggered by the sword. "Larry, I'll fess up when those close-minded morons decide to crack open their thin skulls and expand their view beyond what they consider the best!" A voice crowed out from the brush, a dark shadow taking off with a cackle and puff of powder. Looked like Larry might have his prey on the run now, especially given the hard brush that Beau was sprinting towards.

Larry would begin to cough frantically as he inhaled a puff of said powder, having been caught off guard by its sudden appearance. The powder would do nothing more than raise his anger, the Pinsir hybrid now furious with his friend.
"I've had enough of your games! You're going back to La Ruche even if I have to drag you there the entire way!" He shouted. It was then Larry caught a glimpse of a running figure. The young boy would waste no time debating whether or not that was his friend, he simply made a mad dash for the figure. A very thin tree was in the boy's path and he could have easily moved an inch out of his way but his anger was so high that he instead lowered his horns and snapped it in half, carrying it in his horns a few feet before tossing it to the side.
Next time it might be Beau he snaps.

A black blur would rush through the woods in front of Larry, dodging and weaving through patches of land where there appeared no need to do so. Perhaps Beau might pay off in paying attention to these movements? "This ain't no game, you idiot! Maybe if you did something new you'd see why!" Beau crowed, throwing a few rocks in Larry's direction.
Well, he wasn't doing himself any favors on this trip.

Beau crowed, throwing a few rocks in Larry's direction. Well, he wasn't doing himself any favors on this trip. Larry just growled under his breath as the rocks knocked against his naturally armored body. He has had enough of his friend's antics, now was the time for him to pay. "Stop...running...grah!" Larry's anger had reached its boiling point. Beau was quicker than him and he was getting away, but Arceus be damned if Larry let him escape. With Beau dead ahead Larry mustered every ounce of energy he had to go faster. At first it felt like his attempts were all in vain, he just wasn't quick enough. Then in a flash he found himself just feet behind Beau. What happened? Where did that sudden burst of speed come from? Who knows, he wasn't going to anger with whatever God blessed him. "Stop!" Larry shouted as he threw himself at Beau, aiming to tackle him to the ground.

Beau could watch and gape at the sight of his friend, traditionally the slow one of their duo, spontaneously gain a level of speed he wouldn't think one could normally run and close the nice distance he had left between them. And behind him, through the ground Beau would have sworn was on fire, the multitude of traps he had plowed through activated and harmlessly fire off into open air.So much for those. Wait, wasn't there something just as bad to focus on?
Oh right, the Pinsir hybrid in midair as he screamed and aimed to tackle Beau. Well, he would only manage to mutter out a "Son of a...", before the flying brown streak took him to the ground. Finding himself now pinned to the ground, Beau looked up in the trees before giving a lackluster whistle. And his last resort came streaking out of the canopy in a red blur with a Quick Attack from a Yanma. Hopefully that would do something to let Beau be free.

Larry shouted as he looked down at his pinned friend. Despite his focus being completely on Beau he heard the rather obnoxious sound of Yanma's wings beating. At first his mind didn't register the sound as being anything to worry about. It wasn't until the sound had gotten louder, closer, that Larry turned his attention towards it. "Crap." He mumbled right before getting knocked off of Beau and sent tumbling into the crunchy dead leaf blanketed ground. "Cheap shot." He moaned as he laid on his back, the wind having been knocked out of him.
