There are billions and billions of stars!
Username: Thalea Who are you entering with? Endymion Metis Link to the RP you're using: Prompt response: A myriad of stars glittered across the night sky, not a single cloud obstructed their brilliance. Once he could name each constellation as an old friend, but recent events have him shying away from the heavens and the stars that call the sky home. His family held the world above in the highest regards, all within the land of Nisítou Fengarioú worshiped the heavens. One mare stood from the rest within the land and she was believed to be the reincarnation of the Moon. Since a young filly, she was raised with the knowledge and expectations of what it means to be Selene’s Incarnate.
She was a beautiful mare, her pale coat and mane reminded the young prince of the moon. To him it was love at first sight. He had to keep his yearning a secret, for the beauty was promised to his eldest brother. It was soon revealed that her feelings matched his own and they would rendezvous in secret. Months they would have their secret trysts beneath the stars.
It was because of those stars that their affair had been discovered. Aethlius Arne, his eldest brother and the one promised to Selene’s Incarnate, had uncharacteristically decided that he would partake in some star gazing that night. Instead of constellations, he saw his brother and betrothed romantically close.
Endymion winced as the trail of memory brought to mind the anger and hurt that showed upon his brother’s countenance. Since then the stars seemed to mock him, showing stories of brave knights or pure mares who have made history upon the glowing canvas.
As the third son he was disposable, he was always considered to be the one who would never amount to much and kind of dull, like he did not have much going for him up in the head. And because he was the third son, he was cast out of the kingdom for bringing such shame to his family and elder brother.
The stallion did not know what happened to the Incarnate, surely since she was the voice of the Moon Goddess her fate would be kinder than his. He still loved the mare, as one would love their first love, but he knew that he would never see her again. It was not within their fates; their paths diverged the night they were discovered beneath the stars.
With one more glance up at the sky, he gave a mournful sigh; he still needed more time. Perhaps one day Endymion could gaze up at the stars and be lost in their wonder again, but now, they only bring back bitter memories and thoughts of ridicule. His own coat, which represents the space above, bares a constant reminder to the past he so desperately wishes to leave behind.

There are billions and billions of stars!
Username: Nyx Queen of Darkness. Who are you entering with? Jupiter's Symphony. Link to the RP you're using: It seemed all the world was asleep as he stood in the shallow waters of the beach. The water lapped around his fetlocks and everywhere he looked the whole world was nothing but stars. The nigh was clear and cloudless, perfect. The stars all clearly visible. The ocean was still, calm as he'd ever seen it and across the surface it reflected back thousands of stars as though he was walking in the galaxies.
Though as much as it always appeared to be, the sky did not ever touch the water and he could not walk the moonlight path into the heavens as they did in tales of the fey folk.
But one could dream...Just beyond that pathway to the moon, there lived a land of stars. Not as we thought of them, but something different and less remote but more benevolent. Perhaps they were beings watching over the world, watching countless human and soquili lives going by as they lived out their eternal lives. Maybe that's why there were wishing stars? Maybe that's why every so often a star would appear lower and brighter than the rest to signify that one's wish could come true. Maybe they saw how the soquili on earth wished for children they had long awaited or family they had long lost and felt they could do this one thing for them. Though the stars could not speak to them or interact with them or in any way do anything but shine.
Yet they did, they shined on for centures, granting the wishes of lesser beings. Jupiter thought, perhaps it was a reminder that we are not alone in the universe even when we feel we are. That even in the darkest night, the most desolute of locations there is a star shining down on so that you are never really alone. He liked the thought of it, it brought warmth to his heart.
Despite other's belief's of his capibilities, he'd always felt self-conscious as though he wasn't quite good enough. As though it was a huge joke when others told him how capable and talented he was. In his heart that seed of self doubt grew, but at night he could prune it back as he looked up at the stars. The strive to be more perfect would recede in the starlight where everything seemed peaceful. For once his mind would rest and he would not think about the short comings he had or his need to be better. He could be lost in starlight, watched by a benevolent being from above. He wondered if ever someone had met a star? Part of him hoped someone had, so that that way he could find out it was true. But another part of him wished it not, that if it was to be, he'd be the first to meet a star.
