Sea you later!
Username: HoneyTeaTree Character name: Camlann Roll response: 19. Nothing prepared you to face down a great white shark. Do you try to swim away, or face the monstrous fish? +2 points He hadn't expected to be plunged into the depths of the sea. He also hadn't expected to be able to breathe once he had been forced out into the watery depths. He had intended to defend the land from whatever treacherous creature lurked down below, not end up in the ocean, an unfamiliar territory and a place where he would never naturally be able to survive. In fact, now that he thought about it, he had to wonder how he was able to be down in the water. There was probably some sort of magic afoot, though he didn't care to understand it, and decided it would be best he shake the thought off and proceed business as usual. He had volunteered for a reason, after all, and he refused to allow himself to be distracted. He had swam for ages at this point, following after the two mer brothers and staying with the group of others who had volunteered. There was one thing Camlann disliked about this venture he had managed to get himself into, and what he disliked about it was the fact that there were so many unknown factors. There were creatures that he didn't know of; there was little light the deeper they went, making it harder to see and more difficult to be able to defend against possible dangers; there was little reason for him to feel comfortable this deep down. A part of him was worried that he might not be able to reach his blade in time should he need it. The water slowed his movements so much that even with all of his training, Camlann worried that he would be rendered useless in any sort of perilous situation. There was little reason for him to be enthused about the situation.
Still, even as he continued to swim along with the others, the stallion pause for a moment, being separated from the group as the more nimble swimmers swam on ahead. There was a movement in the water, and even thought Camlann was unused to the environment, his senses were still heightened and he could still feel the presence of danger around him. Preemptively, the stallion moved to pull his blade from its resting place on his flank, eyes narrowing as he scanned the murky waters. This was a terrible place to be in a battle. Oh how he would have preferred to be on land. He turned, only to find himself with some great creature with many rows of teeth and pitch black eyes. A terrifying beast, but one he would face head on. He readied himself, steeling himself for the battle he was about to enter, and Camlann swung his blade as the shark neared him. Blood hit the water, creating a red cloud around the two as they moved in the water. He gritted his teeth and winced as the creatures sharp teeth grazed him, and Camlann swung again to face the creature in heated battle. Once it was over, he would rejoin the mer brothers to aid them in the quest that he had found himself in the midst of. Roll tally: +2 Link to rolls: 1
