As a foal he watched the death of his father as he tried to protect his mother and himself. Seeing his father fight to the death inspired his own need to defend his mother. He was saved only because his father bought time for his mother to run away with him. He got the chance to prove himself as an adolescent when another walker tried to take down his mother. He stood up for them and fought off the walker. Neru was forced to be brave and fight for their lives. He wears the pelt of the first walker he killed, the one that tried to take their lives. He wants to make sure no one else has to go through the loss of a parent or loved one and so he will do whatever it takes to wipe out the walker race and protect the weak.




Neru discovered what it means to have a soul mate and true love when he found the most interesting mare. Injured from fighting a walker and trying to recover. Quiet and reserved but strong both mentally and physically, still ready to fight and defend herself though injured. He helped her heal her wounds before he moved on. That was the start of a most magical story. Continuously running into each other only to end up working together on missions and relying on each other. The story advanced without either knowing it when they took on a nightmare of a walker. Without thinking about his actions he jumped in to save her before she got really hurt. He ended up getting badly injured but was relieved that she didn't get it. He announced his feelings for her the only way he knew how. Neru gave her one of his necklaces as a token of his affection but for practicality he gave her two bracers and a satchel for herbs. Killing walkers was dangerous business and she needed to be stocked on herbs to help treat their wounds.

Neru discovered his anger when she would try and take things on herself because of fear of seeing her hurt or worse. He discovered more about himself since meeting her than he ever thought possible. Knowing that deep down if something were to happen to her, he would stop at nothing until he had her back safely with him. His heart seemed to melt with every look, nuzzle and smile from her. He knew he was bound to her the day that he realized it didn't matter what she said to him, it made his heart beat faster and he felt somewhat nervous and anxious around her. He wanted to make sure she was happy all the time, safe and comfortable with him. Realizing the effect she had on him and the thought of being without her making his heart ache, he vowed to never leave her side, to always be there for her and protect her.

He values family and will do anything to see that they are safe and remain happy. He does what he can for his mother, Naerdiel to make sure that she never feels lonely. Even though he has grown and 'left home' he is not far from his parents in case they need him. He is very brave; doesn’t make a promise he can’t keep and he tries to always be kind. If he says that he will do something, then he sees it through to the end no matter what happens. Rau loves his family and wants nothing more than to give the gift of little ones to keep the Relandori line alive however he wants to make sure he finds the right love for him/his family.
He tries to be strong for everyone but it isn't good for him. He is holding everything in so that he can be the support that is needed. There are times where he goes off to be by himself to just let it all out.

There was a time where he was questioning himself and what is best for him. He discovered an interesting part of himself with a few one night stands. The young stallion realized just how vulnerable he can be though he tries not to be weak/vulnerable. Bellrauthien has come to realize that he wants to find the kind of happiness that his parents and grandparents share. But more than that he came to the realization that being vulnerable isn’t that bad.


He is protective of what is his and will put up a front for 'outsiders', not hesitant to turn to violence if its required. He can be powerful, strong and violent if he absolutely must be but he doesn’t like to be like that. The only time you will see this side of him is when you threaten him or those he holds close.
