egggoat Wolf always seems to do everything simultaneously. Changing the challenge/models, leaving the feedback, and making an announcement for the winner and new challenge. If you want to handle all of that, go for it! If not, you can just post it here and either Dante or I can get it done. Heres my question: When is the deadline for the new challenge? I'm fine with whoever wants to post everything (also fine with doing it), but yeah it should be all at once. Challenges run a week or so, I believe? So if everything is up tonight or tomorrow morning, I'd say the 17th?

Also, let me know how the challenge description sounds. Nice work! Your challenge reads beautifully. I'm looking around right now, but I'm getting the feeling Wolf forgot to grant us announcement privileges? Unless egg has them, I don't think there is a way for us to send a real alert. Maybe we should tag everyone into the "Announcement" forum?

My only addendum would be maybe to explicitly state we don't want repeats of cards? Like, I really dont want to see 5 High Priestesses. I dont even want to see two of the same. There are enough cards where no one should be making the same thing.
I also cant find announcements.

Hey guys! Tagging everyone in a spot works, Clot and I had to do that in the first cycle. Gaia isn’t letting me promote you guys to Vice status from my phone, but I should be able to get on tonight and take care of that. I can also post a formal announcement tonight to help things along. Everything looks great though!

So things came up - again - ended up stranded yesterday on the road for over three hours because of a rock slide. Which pushed back everything else. I’ll get on from my laptop tomorrow and help with things, sorry!

Challenge 5
I'll be traveling abroad for the next week and wont have much time to be online so whatever you all decide, I support.
Overall this was a much stronger round than recent ones.
Darkerdemons (Rae)

Comments: This is really well done! They put a lot of thought and effort into this look and it shows.
Im glad they decided against a mostly nude model and instead went a different direction from the traditional imagery.
Part of me wants just a little more anubis somewhere else, but the other part says its fine as it is since its mostly centered and has a small reflection in the infinity symbol. I like that her skirt kinda blends in to the grey nebula in the background and make the skirt look like its make of stardust.
Pianette (Jiang Li)

Comments: Im glad to see a minor arcana card! The arm mod gives her a nice feel even though its a different pixel style. I like the idea of the blindfold but I have to wonder if a different color might not have been better?
Speaking of, there are a lot of random colors in this with no real balance. The bottom is heavily sage, then there is a crop of anubis blue, and a circle of breezy green. Im also not sold on that throne, it has such a different style from her clothing, but im not counting it against them because we are working with fantasy here.
Sana Minatozaki (Abby)

Comments: I like the background and the pose. It is similar enough to the card they reference that it is effective.
However, everything else is very simple. The outfit is comprised of 4 items outside of the presets. The red poppies are jarring with the rest of the soft look. Wish the colors that are there such as the pink and red were seen somewhere else. Which is where using more than 4 items comes in handy. Im going to use Goddess' classic critique that using a dress takes up too much creative space.

Comments: This is really well done! I love that gown. You can tell its more than one piece but it works so well together! Even the paleness of the gown works well to make her look luminescent.
I have no complaints, this is perfectly tarot in my opinion.

Comments: I think he did a great job with the devil! It definitely harkens back to the rider waite deck and includes a lot of the traditional symbology of the devil.
The arms are a little awkward. Mainly the one that is hanging in front. Her face really clashes with the whole look though. She has a very innocent face and while I get he addresses it, it still seems very out of place. Also wish the background was more detailed. The baby blue is way too soft and doesn't connect to the idea here.

Comments: Refreshing to have someone make their own spin on their card instead of going for a replica look. It shows that Ren put a lot of thought into their look.
This is far from any High Priestess cards out there since they're usually dressed as nuns with only their face showing.
My one critique would be that I wished there was something that draws the blue into her outfit.

Comments: This might be suffering from too much thought. I think her base outfit works well. The ideas are all there, but there are just a lot of them. I think if they had used a simple background instead of the mountain/sky, and cut that flowing ribbon entirely, it would have helped tone it down. I would also have liked to see that red somewhere else. There's also a lot of different pixel styles which kinda hurt the cohesion.

Hey everyone! Sorry for being absent again, though it looks like everyone has had some busy weeks, hope everyone is doing well! I move into my new place next weekend, and should be getting into a normal rhythm again then. Fingers crossed anyway, haha.
I was going to suggest not eliminating anyone this round and doing double elimination next round, kind of spice things up, but since Ultrabord didn't submit I think we should eliminate her. Maybe next challenge we should still do double elimination though?
And I think for this round elphie deserves the win, or maybe give elphie and Ren the win since they are both strong looks?

Hey everyone! Sorry for being absent again, though it looks like everyone has had some busy weeks, hope everyone is doing well! I move into my new place next weekend, and should be getting into a normal rhythm again then. Fingers crossed anyway, haha.
I was going to suggest not eliminating anyone this round and doing double elimination next round, kind of spice things up, but since Ultrabord didn't submit I think we should eliminate her. Maybe next challenge we should still do double elimination though?
