The fires around the battlefield burned brightly, the smoke and haze of the day long battle clouding the skies above the entire group that found themselves fighting tooth and nail against a seemingly impossible pair. Ixion, the stubborn mare, had thrown the large lycan that bit, clawed, and attempted to grapple with it; the horse bucking the beast off and sending it careening next to a pair of wrecked vehicles. The beast was obviously not dismayed, shaking its mane with a defiant snarl and resting on its haunches prepared to bound forward again in retaliation. This did not even compare to what the horse was about to do to Draak, attempting to drag the man like the cowboys of west would the victims that they found themselves set upon, their corpses bouncing behind their steeds. That would have been the scenario that the weakened Trabian had found himself in...until the world changed around him.
Where Draak stood, the air surrounding him pulsated. Said disturbance was notable by anyone with eyes, Draak seeming to be frozen as the air began to twist and turn and seem to turn in on itself, the reality of Draak phasing into a nether that came from nowhere. Whisps seemed to follow this sudden and odd transition, even the large lycan Kalen halting in an animalistic curiosity, the entire space that Draak having been standing in beginning to fold outward, multi colored whisps shifting in and about as the colors grew in splendour. A man's form, larger than the man that had just been there just moments before with a weapon in his hand from what it could be seen.
Long, blonde hair tied in a backward bun crested the top of an older, handsome face. A caress of facial hair aligning the chin of this strange newcomer, the rest of the portrait painted with scars and a few weary lines of a long distant stress and battles. His eyes danced around, his surroundings seemingly new yet a look of familiarity dawned upon him as the children came into view, a small smile adorning his mouth gripping the large weapon in his hand. The air he gave was one of power, strength, and yet a warm comforting aura that benefited from the simple, yet formal attire, that he appeared in. A vest, well kempt, with a poignant necklace around his neck, business slacks and boots, giving the large and burlier man the aura that they felt. A protector, of sorts.
Only as his eyes looked forward and captured what the children looked at, besides him, did his eyes rest upon the monstrous forms of Koyuki Rieko and Dark Ixion, Kalen Vicaria's giant beastial form gazing with that same animalistic curiosity a wolf would give to a new predator that had just arrived. Said smile grew a little, his arms tightening as Ixion came down from leaping into the air, right near where he was standing. "Heh." the voice was gruff, deeper, and the cold blue eyes flashed as his weapon swung through the air and gave a resounding gunshot sound. Where Ixion landed, an outward eruption of fire and water erupted from, tearing the earth and alike asunder as it seeked to incinerate the celestial unicorn from this plane of existence. The power was incredible, like the force of a hurricane and the eruption of a powerful bomb all in one to truly indicate that this man was powerful in the ways of destructive magic. In fact, you could say it had been his speciality a long time ago.
A long time ago indeed.
"Damn, babe, I get that you're pissed off but we both know that destroying an entire city block is a bit overkill, don't you think? Didn't we say that we would talk our problems out?" His small grin showed a flash of white teeth, his eyes narrowed in a taunting smirk as he lowered his weapon. The glint of its silver shining as the revolver clicked into place, asking for a reload of ammunition. His blue eyes turned towards Kalen in a flash, twisting his neck. "Hey kid....hey Kalen, if ya can hear me in there?! This'll be more fun if you're with me. Would hate to have to kick your a** just as soon as I get here too, ya know? Kills the bonding experience." The man pulled out three magical rounds and entered them into the chamber, closing it with a click and a spin. "Kids. Give us a hand from the back and focus on that unicorn, would ya?"
The silver gunblade, a bizarre yet seemingly familiar weapon, came to rest over his shoulder, bouncing to a rhythm. Scratched onto its metal, like the metal on the gunblade in Koyuki's hand, was written two words.
The wolf had nipped and clawed at the unicorn, but the stubborn b*****d's elemental and the wolf's element balanced out. The holy element that resided in Kalen's large form was only doing nominal damage and while the wolf only saw the red aura that lingered off Ixion's form in his eyes, it recognized that the assault would require a different tactic. Ixion bucked him, the wolf crashing into the ground and rolling in response to its haunches, skidding to a halt. A huff, steam launching from his nostrils came forth, the red eyes narrowing towards the horse and the beast known as Koyuki. No thoughts pretended to cross the Raijin's mind, preparing to launch its next attack before the world seemed to change. The man that had been attacking Ixion with him, laced in a neutral white aura, had vanished, immediately removing Draak from the food chain as another man phased into existence.
"?!"
A strange sound came from the beast, the grey neutral aura of Draak being replaced with a powerful green that flowed from the new man. A sniff only let the Raijin know one thing, that this was of its lineage, directly above him in the family tree. An ally. That was all that the wolf needed, no sense of nostalgia, not rush of memories came over it like others might have been experiencing. Its eyes locked on Ixion once more, as Riyel's explosion sent the unicorn flying into the rubble around them. "Awr." Rumbled from the depths of the lycans chest as it stood full, muscles brimming as it grasped one of the trucks to its left. Its legs braced, its muscles tensed as it grunted and howled, pulling the chunk of metal with its popped tired and began to pull it, the muscles straining as the car began to move faster and faster. Kalen had begun spinning like it was a shotput, the momentum going from slow to faster and faster as his claws dug into the front of the car and with a grunting snarl.
A few seconds of momentum was all the wolf needed to release the truck, launching it like a bullet where Ixion crashed and recovered, smashing into where the Guardian Force crash landed with the force of a giant bullet. More debris catapulted into the air, Kalen lurching forward and nodding its head at the man that appeared to join his fight. One giant claw grasped a downed power line and dragged it with him, snapping it from the tower it had come from.
The father and the son duo was on a mission, and it would take everyone to make the enemies fall. They could do it. Riyel's attack had given them an edge.
Enkidu settled down beside Mai as she knelt down by her mother, examining her for any damage done to her. Her body was completely healthy, but her mana felt depleted, as if she had expunged all of it. She had no idea what the effects would be from losing Diablos, but she decided that she would toss her mother on the back of Enkidu. The guardian force had no issue in that, and Mai rewarded him with a stroke against his head, petting him. The dog barked in joy over the affection. Her attention turned back up towards the sky, hearing them demand a name. She had no idea what they were saying at this moment, but something felt like it was compelling her to speak, as if they were looking for an answer. What was it that they were doing? What was it that the two demonic GFs acted in such a manner? This was power she had no idea existed inside of her lover, but, was this what her mother meant by healing him? Did she awaken something within him? She had no idea if they could hear her, but she reached out towards the sky, as if to call out to him. "Raeka." She wanted answers, but most of all, she was worried that this form of his was taking control. He was acting differently, speaking in a language she didn't understand. She wanted him back. She needed him, and she couldn't let down Salem either. What could she do here though? What more could she do to help?
For once, Mai felt herself completely at a loss. Outmatched by this event. Even her mother had made a sacrifice today, for Raeka, and he became this. She had no idea what the consequences would be from this, or even saying his name, but she prayed inside that her man would come home to her.

The pages were clear to read, with the text clearly colored to reveal emotion and intent, and the creature pondered. Though it's attention was not so singular, no, it was simultaneously processing the other; the sorceress. It was a familiar sensation, the symphony of magic that fluctuated within her, and it leaned over Etamara.
There were options with this one. Chrysalis, consumption, or release. Why, yes, he could use another servant. The ebbs of song were too close to her soul, and her transformation would give him a musician, one that clearly could feel the song within It's being.
Etamara could feel it. Darkness surging from within, provoking her body to convulse, tar like substance seeping from her mouth and beginning to drool down her like Raeka had done before. At least before a voice called out to him; to a old name that it had perused in thought but was the answer to his song.
Raeka
Through pitch black lips Etamara uttered the name in unison, as did The Prince, Cerberus and Diablos. First was Cerberus, howling to the moon as he faded away, Diablos followed quickly behind with a sickly cackle, and Etamara's pitch-black goo seemed to fade away whilst whatever made It seeped back into the skin of Raeka. The song faded as the boy re-emerged, and the world was righted once again.
And Mai knew, her prayer was answered. ____________________________________________________

____________________________________________________ When he returned, he was not far from Mai. He was standing on the cold concrete in the light of the sun. It seemed the hordes blocking out the sun had faded away at some point, or had been pounded into paste, and the light was burning with what seemed like new vigor. Raising a arm to shield his eyes, he searched the area with his eyes, seemingly ignoring anything that may have drawn his attention until his gaze landed on Mai.
He smiled when he recognized her, although that faded quickly as he truly looked at her. Sometimes expressions could be hard to read on the woman, like many soldiers she could hide a lot emotion when necessary. But he could see she was lost, he moved to her. With a familiar swiftness as if he had never been injured just a few days earlier. He brought her into his arms without a word. ____________________________________________________
Rem and Beaker drew up behind the cover of some rubble as the shape of the conflict changed yet again! Kaijuu washed Koyuki away, blessedly, but he wasn’t the only one on their side. The strange-talking stranger was consumed by some kind of spatial anomaly- Rem felt it like static in the air before the lightning struck. But the one who emerged from this rift was no monster. The rift was wrong. He wasn’t.
It couldn’t be…
Rem stared at the powerfully-built man, sporting a sharp outfit, a gunblade, and a pair of familiar eyes. The same steel blue as her brother! A man Lloyd and Nona Nipal had told stories of to their children, in defiance of a world that tried to forget him!
”Uncle Riyel…?”
Seemed like she wasn’t the only one to recognize him; the war-wolf acknowledged its father(?) and returned its rage to the sinister steed with a phenomenal show of strength! That was it, then- fight now, figure things out later! The wolf had separated itself from Ixion, which meant she had a chance to help! Spurring Beaker out of cover, she raced him close to Kaijuu’s towering legs and reached out for the titan in passing.
”Draw…!” she called brushing against a river mightier than any other single creature she’d encountered. Streamers of fierce atomic blue swirled out of the beast and to her, only to be flung toward the crashed car and Ixion! ”Waterga!” Rem called, her bones rattling as she fired a hydraulic blast of water straight into the downed GF, slamming the car and it into the rubble of her city!
”Uncle Riyel!” the girl called as she raced by on choco-back. ”I don’t know what’s happened to Kalen, but she’s lost her mind! The whole city’s under attack- I don’t know when anyone else will get here!” She drew up on Beaker near the man, her certainty faltering. In the moment, he could see so much of her mother in her…but she was still just a child.
The arrival of Riyel left Yukiko in complete shock, more than her mother's horrid transformation did. This man had so many similar features to Kalen that the resemblance was uncanny. How was he here? Where had he been all this time? And why now? She barely could keep herself up on her feet, her legs trembling as she barely could muster the energy to raise her weapon up at her mother or Ixion. She closed her eyes, clutching and holding her gun against her chest, biting her bottom lip as she attempted to soothe herself in this dilemma.
=======================
Ixion had been so focused on Draak and Kalen that it had no time or awareness to anticipate Riyel to blast it with a mix of firaga and waterga spells onto it. The blast was more than enough to cause the GF to stumble and falter, shaking its head as it huffed and neighed in anger at the man who assaulted it. Its eyes began to glow with rage, and lightning began to surge, prepared to assault Riyel for hitting it, but Kalen came in with his wolf form, tossing a car into it, causing Ixion again to reel back from the hit. Agitated and furious at the both of them, the GF smashed its head through the vehicle, impaling it with its horn and hurling it right at Kalen while he appeared to be having a father-son moment with Riyel. In its distraction, Rem's waterga spell came smashing into it, making the GF to gruff and pant from the hit.
"Ȑ̸̼Ả̴̹A̶̝͆A̵͈͑Ą̶͝A̸̬͠A̵̼̋A̵̜͠Á̴̠Ā̵̜Ä̴̧́A̵̬̓A̵̐ͅǦ̴̬G̸͔̑Ĝ̸̢G̸̞͋G̷͍͘G̶͖̉H̶͓͋!̵̖̾!̷̠̊!̸̯̐!̸̩̈́" The insane shrieking cry of Koyuki howled across the battlfield. Her rage had hit its limits, and the sight of Riyel had caused her to undergo some kind of visceral reaction. Lightning sparks ripped across the battlefield, each tendril zapping and grappling onto fractured shards of her armor and yanked it into her, the lightning melding the broken armor whole. From the exposed faceplate, lightning burst forth from the opening, followed by a sickening gushing of blood that poured from her armor. She made a sickening gurgle and spat out blood from her helmet, only to then finally speak. "H̶a̶h̶a̸h̴a̴h̴a̸h̴a̵h̴a̶h̵a̶!̸!̵ ̵O̸h̶ ̶t̶h̴e̶ ̸t̶i̸m̶i̷n̸g̸ ̵c̸o̸u̶l̷d̷n̴'̷t̵ ̶b̵e̵ ̵m̶o̴r̸e̸ ̷p̶e̸r̵f̷e̵c̸t̷!̸ ̷S̴e̵e̵ ̸t̸h̷e̶ ̵m̶o̶n̸s̵t̴e̷r̷ ̵I̵ ̸h̵a̶v̶e̷ ̷b̷e̶c̵o̶m̸e̴!̴ ̴" She proclaimed to Riyel, though her voice distorted, barely intelligable through the gurgles and horrific vocal tone she had. She extended both of her hands out in delight, almost elated at the sight of him, but now Kaijuu, Kalen, and Riyel had her attention.
"L̸e̷t̶ ̵m̵e̷ ̷s̷h̷o̶w̵ ̵y̴o̶u̷ ̵w̸h̴a̴t̴ ̷h̴e̴l̶l̵ r̴e̵a̵l̴l̴y̸ ̸ ̴i̷s̵! ̷ ̶" She said to them as she turned her attention towards Kaijuu, digging her feet into the earth and charging forth with ungodly speed. "H̶A̶S̸T̴E̶!̷" Her body became a literal bolt of lightning, moving so fast that Kaijuu couldn't anticipate her movement one bit as she came at him like a missile. Leaping off the ground, Koyuki smashed her lance directly into the center of Kaijuu's chest, the force so great that the guardian force was immediately sent back, stumbling and falling against the rubble. Kaijuu had suffered an incredible amount of damage from that hit, but, he also managed to absorb enough as well from the battle with Koyuki and during the events at hand. Ripping her lance out from Kaijuu's chest, Koyuki jumped right up into the air, flying high up into the clouds as thunder echoed across the city, sparks flashing around as they all gathered towards Koyuki. Likewise, the earth trembled and shook violently as Kaijuu began to inhale and absorb mana from the environment around him. A massive orb of energy began to gather at the center, while Koyuki had flown up into the sky, energy and light gathered three lightning spheres that grew to the size, forming a triangle link between the three orbs in front of her.
The two of them aimed their attacks directly at the other, and simultaneously unleashed their individual blasts. Koyuki's tri-thundaga blast clashed with Kaijuu's Mana Beam, the two opposing forces causing a cataclysmic shockwave to burst and cause everyone to feel mana and static surge in the air around them. Everyone's hairs stood on end, electrified, and the rise in mana had felt heavy in everyone's chest who wasn't used to such weight.
But in the end, with Draak having a weaker junction with Kaijuu, the GF would not win this battle. The lightning blast came crashing down like divine judgement upon the beast, and the explosive force rocked the very foundation of the city as the GF completely disintegrated from the destructive force. What followed after was silence, and her attention turned back to her husband and son. "H̵o̷w̴ ̴i̷r̷o̸n̸i̸c̷ ̵i̶s̷ ̸i̵t̴,̶ ̴t̸h̵a̶t̷ ̶y̷o̷u̵ ̶a̵r̷e̵ ̵h̸e̷r̵e̷?̵ ̵I̷t̷'̸s̸ ̵l̴i̵k̸e̷ ̷l̵i̸f̸e̷ ̷i̸s̸ ̶h̵a̷v̸i̸n̵g̶ ̵a̸ ̸l̷a̷u̵g̷h̴ ̸a̵t̸ ̶m̸y̶ ̴e̷x̸p̵e̵n̶s̶e̷!̶ ̴H̵a̸h̴a̶h̴a̷h̸a̸h̶a̴h̶a̶h̷a̴!̵!̴!̶ ̸A̵n̵d̶ ̶y̴o̶u̷ ̶k̶n̴o̵w̷,̴ ̷I̸ ̴t̸h̴i̵n̶k̴ ̵I̷ ̸c̵a̶n̶ ̴l̶a̶u̶g̸h̴ ̶w̶i̴t̵h̴ ̶i̴t̴!̶ ̸A̶ ̷p̵o̷e̶t̴i̵c̵ ̵e̴n̸d̴ ̸t̵o̷ ̸t̵h̸i̶s̵ ̵n̴i̴g̷h̶t̸m̷a̶r̵e̷!̸ ̸S̸e̵e̶ ̶i̸f̷ ̶y̶o̸u̶ ̶c̸a̸n̷ ̸c̸u̸t̴ ̵m̵e̶ ̸d̷o̸w̶n̸ ̷w̴i̷t̸h̸ ̷t̸h̷a̸t̷ ̶b̸l̸a̷d̶e̴ ̴o̵f̷ ̶y̷o̸u̵r̸s̴!̴" Her derranged manic state revealed itself, seeing this as nothing more than cruel sickening punishment, a night terror. One she wanted to end with her own hands!
So she charged at them, moving at literal lightning speed, intending to clash with her husband, only this time she found herself interrupted, forcing herself to come to a skidding hault as a javelin nearly struck her, hitting the ground by her foot. Leaping back as another came smashing into the earth, Koyuki shifted her attention towards Tsitsho and Tori, both of whom were finally arriving. Tori had summoned her GF mindflayer, sending out a mind blast at Koyuki, causing Koyuki to grunt and growl as three magic non elemental rings condensed down around her, paralyzing her movements. "G̸̖͘n̵̘̈́n̶̞̆g̶͎͌h̶̭̑!̶͂ͅ!̸̧̓" She growled out of agitation, unable to fight or move while Babel suddenly came sprinting forth from the opposite side, behind Koyuki. Lunging forward, Babel took a heavy forward swing right into the lower back of Koyuki's spine., followed by an explosive green corrosive force emitting from her fist. "Corrosive Style: Toxic Fist!" The sheer force of Babel's strike caused Koyuki to stumble forward, Babel taking the opportunity to swiftly maneuver around to the front of Koyuki, launching an uppercut straight into her jaw. Black bile vomitted out of Koyuki's faceplate, the signs of the debuff Bio were present. "Meltdown!" Shouted Tori, causing the debuff to hit Koyuki as she remained still from the Paralysis.
"Varitas, now!!" Shouted Babel as she twirled on her feet, and slammed her foot dead center into Koyuki's chest, blasting her with another poison burst as it sent her flying in the air right into Varitas. The silver hunter leaped up into the air, following up on Babel's kick as he swung his anti magic blade down upon Koyuki, destroying her haste buff. Each strike with his sword caused Koyuki to rock and stumble back. Just as the paralysis was about to end, Varitas kicked Koyuki skyward up into the air. As soon as he did, Tsitsho hurled a javelin again, the spear managing to make its mark into Koyuki with enough force to send her crashing through another building, inevitably ending up next to the girls who were by and large, mostly out of the fight.
Tsitsho's spear laid embedded inside of Koyuki's chest while she laid flat against the ground, her hands managing to keep her grip on her weapons despite the damage she took. Yukiko looked on in terror over the sight of her monstrous mother slowly get up, only to once again be interrupted as Hades came crashing down on her, slamming his blade into her chest and unleashing his ultimate attack, Black Cauldron! The poisonous mist managed to hit Koyuki, but, somehow, despite all of this status ailment affliction, she managed to resist!
And she was absolutely livid.
Lightning burst forth from her body, knocking both the spear and the GF off of her, sending Hades back into the building as she aimed her gunblade at the GF. "D̷̬̒ö̵̜́o̶̥̅m̷̜͋!̷͓̇" The death clock formed above the GF, hades only having a limited time while Koyuki fired triple shots into the GF, embedding it into the wall and causing the building to collapse onto it. But then, she heard the galloping of another horse, and a GF coming towards her. Odin.
She turned her attention to the GF, the massive man and horse stared her down, and like a game of chicken, the two charged forth at one another. Dragging her gunblade across the ground, Koyuki's limit break triggered! Odin shouted! "Zantetsuken!" He swung; however... "Z̶̛̫a̵̫͂n̵̜̂t̵̬͑ę̴͒t̸̝̅ṡ̸̩u̸̡͝k̷͉̕ę̴̀n̵̡͑ ̶̺̿R̵͇̚ẽ̴̹v̴̲̇e̷̛͉r̷̞̎s̷̐ͅe̴̘͊!̷̣͗" Koyuki countered the GF, cutting him down with such swift deadly accuracy that before the GF even managed to mutter another word, he was cut in half, cut straight from the waist, upward diagonally. Varitas immediately felt the loss of Odin, his strength faltering as he coughed and grunted feeling Odin's death. The horseman's blade crashed landed across the battlefield, embedding itself into the ground, like a sword waiting to be pulled from its stone by a chosen champion.
================================
The girls now were left alone with Ixion, Draak, and Kalen, all of whom were absolutely pissing it off with all of its attacks. With a burst of lightning, Ixion charged forward at Rem, intending to skewer her with its horn. This action caused Yukiko's eyes to widen, seeing that massive GF charge at the girl whom she called sister. She spent so long here, with her family and people. She had called this place home... She gritted her teeth, sucking in sharply as she aimed her LMG right at that ugly demonic horse!
"I REFUSE TO LOSE MORE OF MY FAMILY!!" She screamed as she began to unleash hellfire upon the GF, even going as far as to wield the gun with one arm while the other hand reached into her satchel, pulling out a water gem! "DON'T IGNORE ME!" She yelled as she hurled the water gem at Ixion, causing the beast to feel the triple burst of three watera spells hitting it over and over again, forcing it to stumble and avoid Rem barely as the mixture of bullets and water blinded it. ============================
Mai watched as Raeka's body reacted to her words unexpectedly, staring in awe and shocking concern over Etamara's increasingly demonic performance. The sorceress didn't seem to care about such horrid things occurring, giving herself into the performance without a second thought to the dangers of it. To her this was the will of music itself, and she refused to let such a rare opportunity go to waste. When it all ended, and Raeka finally took his form back, Etamara lowered her instrument, panting and appearing weak from such a force manipulating her in such a manner. Whatever that was, it was particularly addicting to feel, and she kinda liked it. Mai, meanwhile looked upon Raeka with concern and worry as he approached her. Even as the rays of light seemed to display this sense of triumphant return for him, Mai was left shaken by this event, and yet, as he moved up to her, embracing her, Mai was left silent. And eventually, after a bit of silence feeling his embrace, Mai's arms raised and she wrapped them around Raeka, holding him tightly against her with all of her cybernetic strength. Her chest tightened as she pressed her head against his, closing her eye, practically doing all she could to hold him as tightly as possible.

Riyel eyed the wolf that was his son, his eyebrows raising in entertainment at the large form's massive display of strength. Not bad, kid. Not bad. The truck hurled like a missile, smacking into the celestial unicorn with a loud and resounding crash. Though we both know you have GOTTA hit the gym once this is over. Scrawny as hell. The time displaced man unshouldered his Gunblade, cracking his neck once more with a twist to the left and right. Koyuki was slowly recovering, and his dear lovely wife needed a proverbial talking to it would seem. Kalen's form hulked past him, an electrical power line in tow. Off to the rodeo, huh? Only at the sound of a young lass' voice did the man turn to see his niece sitting on a large bird, Kalen's if he recalled proper, the wonder and confusion in her voice more than charming in its unsure nature.
Rem's voice betrayed her youth, but if he had been her age, Riyel would have only concluded that she was one of the more mature people that he'd ever met. Her composure was kept, despite the chaos, riding that bird like she had been training to do it in any combat scenario. Her gaze had the same blues as his and his brothers, and at her inquiry, all he could do was let loose a grin, much like Rem's father's, and raise a thumb into the air. "Remington Estellise La Faustina Nipal, you really don't recognize your dear old uncle? That marlboro attack from when ya'll were kids still affecting ya brain? Course it's me! I look just like your dad...well, I guess its fair, that scrawny a** pa of yours has a hard time lookin' as jacked as his big brotha, but its me in the flesh! Don't you worry about Kalen or his ma, got it? He's just showin' us all he doesn't need to be coddled. Everyone has their limit break..." He winked at her, nodding his head over towards Ixion. "You, little miss Nyale, and dear Yukiko go handle electric pony and leave her to us. Don't be like your ma and worry too much, alright? I've got this and him. You should see Koyuki when I don't get her her favorite snacks on time. Much worse than this!" He started walking towards Koyuki, casting Haste, Protect, and Shell on himself.
"Kid! When you're done screwin' around with the horse, get over here! It's family time!" he called over to Kalen, who was stalking the assaulted Ixion as water crashed into the horse. Koyuki's words were near incomprehensible, looking nothing like the woman that he was married to through Trabian law. "Oh come on babe, it's not ironic that I'm here! I'm always around whether ya know it or not." He held his gunblade tight, not a worry on his face, "We're going to go through this therapy session, we'll calm down, and I'll take out for a night of drinkin' on the town like the old days. You need to take a ********' vacation, anyways. Too much stress, ya know?"
Right as she charged, Riyel braced prepared before an onslaught from all over came to assist. Multiple weapons and strikes assaulting Koyuki and knocking her into the remains of a building. Multiple status effects and meltdown had been launched onto her and hitting with succession, the Ringer musing over the next best step for him to proceed. There went all of her defenses. Their best shot to attack her was now, but she was still giving one hell of a fight. She had even killed Odin, the blade swinging through the air and landing a few feet from the large frame of Kalen, who stopped to take note of it. "God, babe, you can just say ya miss me. We could kiss and make up and this would all end!" He pointed his gunblade at the woman just as her assault ended on Odin. Lots of openings today with his opponents. "FLARE!" Where Koyuki stood erupted another explosion of pure energy, razing the earth with its power as Riyel charged into the fray. That attack would hurt her, but it would not put her down. There was more work to be done. "Come on, babe! Just like back in the day! You and me sparring on the decks of Fisherman Horizon! Hell, pretty sure that's how Kalen even got conceived!" He charged after the explosion, ready to strike at Koyuki and block whatever she sent his way.
Kalen would be thankful that he could not hear this.
The attack had struck true, sending Ixion scrambling in combination with the Wolf's father's attack and the follow up by Rem. Each step from Kalen left an indentation on the earth, the sound of the power line dragging on the ground as it followed the War Wolf's path. It was apparent what the beast was going to try and do to the unicorn, and a glorified rodeo strangulation was on the docket for its next attack. Yukiko's gunfire shot around Rem as well, smacking into Ixion with the repetitive rounds but what came up next made the wolf stop in its tracks. The giant sword of Odin came crashing next to him, the blade stabbing into the earth a few feet away from where it stood. "????" the sound was alarm, originally, the wolf tensing at the sound and turning to face the sword in question before approaching it, confused. It sniffed for a moment, smelling the history that rested on the Zantetsuken. Did the wolf understand the concept of the sword? Its claws reached out, trying to tough the handle before something could be heard from the distance.
...Above?! What on earth...?!
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! FINALLY I HAVE FOUND YOU!"
From the sky came crashing down a large form, slamming into the ground next to where Kalen and the giant sword stood. Dust plumed into the air as the form came to a stand...revealing, Yojimbo?! The large being let loose another peal of laughter as it grasped the robe it was hidden in, thrusting it away to reveal a large armored figure, weapons stored in various shapes and sizes on his back, three arms peering out of the material that made up its clothing. A warrior? A connosseur of grand weaponry? A loud and boisterous buffoon?! Nay, this was the one! The only! This was...
"Finally, I have found THE GREAT BLADE OF ODIN! I shall TAKE THIS BLADE HONORABLY, AND WIELD IT JUST LIKE the great warrior and add to the trove and to the LEGACY OF THE ONE, THE ONLY, GILGAMESH!" The warrior let loose a loud guffaw as its armored hand reached out to grasp the Zantetsuken and pulled it out of the earth to walk away...until he felt resistance.
"WHAT IS THIS?!" The face armor of the warrior, shifted in confusion. Attached to the handle of the sword was a large golden paw, the wolf formerly known as Kalen having grabbed it just as the great legend had! "You! Knave! RELEASE Mine treasure and I SHALL GRANT YOU THIS MERCY!" The armored figure turned to face the wolf and pulled hard, the wolf pulling back in kind! It became a near literal game of tug of war, both struggling to pull the blade from the other. Said wolf began to growl, its mouth glowing a golden sheen as electrical energy began to flow into its mouth in irritation. An attack! "OI, OI, OI, OI! You rogue! You beast! There is no need for such violence!" The wolf did not relent, its eyes narrowing as it pulled harder! "I say you! Bequeath to me this fine treasure, and I shall promise you a duel worthy of such strength! We shall fight splendidly in a wonderful place, PREFERABLY on the grandest bridge you have ever seen! And with this promise of a duel, I SHALL JOIN YOU on a pilgrimage to procure the GRANDEST weapons until we find such a stage!"
The wolf halted, confused, as it observed the warrior. It had originally been in a neutral grey, its vision again, confused at the neutrality. Friend or Enemy. This grey was not normal feeling. Its words though...it felt something in it. Tinges of green began to sway, looking down at the sword before growling in response, releasing its hold on the blade.
"AHA! So you concur you beast of brethren! This shall be a warrior's pact, and together we shall find the place for our DUEL and ALL the finest weaponry this WORLD has to offer!" Gilgamesh picked up the Zantestuken, slowly gazing it over to admire its beauty. It held it in its one of three visible hands, chortling before proclaiming "I, GILGAMESH, shall now TEST THE BLADE!" His arm patted the beast before him, strutting past it towards Ixion! "ON YOU!" The swordsman launched forward with Zantetsuken in hand, a large powerful strike against its body as Yukiko blasted it with water bullets. "ON GUARD, YOU INSCRUPULOUS, INDIGNANT, BETA HORSE!"
The wolf growled in confusion, not really sure what the hell had just happened but this new ally charged off to assault Ixion, so it couldn't care less. But now, his eyes turned towards the green of its father and the unfamiliar red that covered the beastly form of its mother. There was a new target at hand. The large wolf charged as Riyel launched his assault, leaping high into the air and aiming at the form of Koyuki. The energy that filled its mouth launched forth in a giant sphere, striking where Koyuki stood in an electrical detonation, following up with Riyel's assault. The father and the son were now in tandem, striking at the wife and mother in question.

The man spoke with such confidence that Rem reached up and touched her head, wondering if she really was forgetting her dear old uncle. Once more, she had to resolve herself: act now, questions later! The man’s jovial nature was infectious. For the first time in all this, she thought they might actually survive!
Just like a certain someone.
”Yes, sir!” she answered, straightening herself in her saddle even as the stormwinds of Koyuki’s battle washed over them. Her red hair and Beaker’s hay-yellow feathers ruffled and flew in the wind! The air stung her skin with the density of raw mana coursing through it!
No sooner than they had parted ways, Ixion was on the move! The beast was a crackling crimson blur charging straight at her! Even as she spurred Beaker to bolt, it was too late! Lightning crackled along her skin as the beast’s golden horn drove at her! But a different sort of thunder came first, blasting the beast aside! The tip of the Guardian’s horn caught Rem’s arm, cutting flesh and sending an agonizing jolt through her!
But then, Beaker was in motion, sprinting away while Yukiko continued to blast it!
Okay, plan! Kaijuu out of the picture; no more mighty Water spells. Rem searched around the ruins and her gaze turned upward! With a whistle to Beaker, she guided him toward a ruined batch of buildings which were now no more than roofless pillars. The supports are large, and with a running start off of a fallen pillar, Beaker vaults and flaps his way to perch on one! The chocobo vaults between a couple of the posts with relative ease, but it was a place the quadrupedal Ixion couldn’t follow!
Up here, she could breathe deep enough to re-center herself. She’d gone this far- why not push a little more? Rem focused inward, feeling for the flow of the river. Maybe the raw mana in the air helped- she felt its power all around her with ease! She let herself sink a little deeper. Not to drown, but…
She turned her focus to Ixion. The girl reached out a hand toward the unicorn, which shook from the shot that had run through it moments before. She…didn’t know how it was supposed to work! She’d willed herself and the other girls to move fast, pouring her anxiety into it to build a feeling- the urge to go faster, to race toward resolution!
What if she did that with another feeling? Rem’s let herself feel the frustration! The anger at it all! Why did the world have to hurt them like this? Her family? Her country? She wanted to reach out and grab the world and shake it until it saw sense! To just…make it…stop…!
”Slow,” she growled, clenching her fist around the sight of Ixion. Violet streams of magic erupted from her, slamming into Ixion and coiling ‘round his body! The weight of time moving slower, refusing to let him pass!
The roar of an engine rose over the din of fighting. Smoke and mana-winds obscured the battlefield. Then, out of the haze, there was a glimmer.
”Triple Firaga.”
THOOOOMMMMMMMM!!
A trio of carmine beams vaporized the smoke! The blasts join the assault, turning a dual attack into a triple!
Amid the swirling ashes, single eye glowering with the judgment of Heaven, stood Nona Nipal.
”I told you to never hurt my son again,” the President’s voice carried on the mana-currents. Her coat rippled out behind her. In her free hand, she carried a katana in a plain brown scabbard. However, even her fury couldn’t silence the shock! Nona shook her head in a double-take, her mouth slipping open in disbelief as she stared at the man down below.

It was absolute madness.
Ny hung back at a safe distance from the fray with Ixion, as requested, watching carefully. "Looks like Kal doesn't need any protection in that form..." She mumbled to herself, still a bit in shock at the sight of the golden beast. But she observed anyway and was ready to provide any support if it looked like her friend was in trouble.
As things got crazy with the curious appearance of Riyel, the Trabians, and the explosive combat between Koyuki, Kaijuu, and everyone else, Gilgamesh, and finally Nona, Ny stared in disbelief and certainly didn't have any time to try and understand. Riyel Vicaria?? How is...this possible? With so much happening so fast it was overwhelming and too much for the girl to follow. She could feel a sense of panic starting to build up, her heart palpitating wildly in her chest. She crouched down, digging her fingers into the earth and closing her eyes.
Breathe...just breathe... She tried to tell herself, willing herself to calm down. A hard thing to do when surrounded by giant Guardian Forces, the menacing presence of Koyuki and her powerful lightning attacks pervading the air, dangerous spells flying past, the ground itself quaking from the force of the fighting, and now even the darkening sky above. It felt like the end of days. It was beyond anything she'd experienced before. You don't have the luxury of having a panic attack right now!
That the Trabians, Riyel and Nona were now dealing with Koyuki was a huge relief, at least. However, Kalen proceeded to follow after his wayward mother, and Ny was torn. Stay with the girls or go with Kal? She deliberated, weighing it up quickly and ultimately deciding that she was more needed here with the girls. Kal would have the protection of both his parents and the Trabians. They would surely keep him safe against Koyuki now, and she would only get in the way there.
Ny rose to her feet again unsteadily. "Reflect!" She cast the spell first for Yuki, who was closest to Ixion, and then also Rem to protect them both against any more thunder attacks from the beast. Now that Rem had helpfully slowed Ixion and it wasn't tangling with Kal anymore she took off into the air, drawing on her magic to conjure a spear of bright holy light in her hand. Ny immediately launched it at the demon horse, where it would explode on impact either on or near the beast.

After having finished her attack on Odin, Koyuki turned her head towards Riyel, only to be blasted by a flare, the blast more than enough to cause the monstrous woman to buckle and stumble back. Kalen, in his bestial state had not considered that his mother was completely bonded to her lightning affinity, and with the power of monsters flowing through her, her body absorbed the electrical explosion, healing herself from the damage. She cackled at Kalen's attack, her wounds somewhat healing, only to be stopped when Nona came in, blasting with a triple firaga on Koyuki, making the woman grunt and tremble. Her body was not able to handle the meltdown very well, and the repeated battle damage she was receiving had gotten to her, and periodically she spat out black ooze from her mouth, the bio poison still afflicting her.
When she looked back up, she found herself surrounded on all sides. The Trabian first class separated, blocking and flanking Koyuki with Nona, Riyel, and Kalen. She turned her head, looking between all of the enemies around her and laughed. Extending her arms out and wide at everyone, she shouted to all of them. "H̵̻̀A̷͇͂H̵̱̀A̷͚͑Ḧ̶̢́A̴̛̦Ḥ̵͠!̸̰́ ̵̖͑Ŷ̴̢E̵̖̅S̷̜͠!̷̗͋ ̴͓̆C̸̬̄H̵̬̉A̴͔̋L̶̻͘Ḷ̸̆E̶͎͛N̶͔̂G̸̮̋Ë̴̮́ ̵̩͊Ḿ̵̢Ē̸̦!̸̫̀ ̶̥̅I̸͈͊ ̵̣̄A̶͕͋M̴̲͑ ̶͖͑H̴̟͛Ẻ̶̙R̷͉̉E̴̙̐!̴̘̔ ̶̹̐F̵̥̒Ỏ̶͖Ḽ̴́L̸̰̑O̶͎͗Ẁ̶̺ ̶̜̒M̷͙̒Ę̵̄ ̸̱̿I̸̪͌N̸͕̔T̵̫̈O̸̘͝ ̶̤̈D̸̠̃E̵͎͒S̷͇̔Ṱ̵̂Ȑ̶̮Ǘ̶̹C̶͔̍T̵̪̐Ĩ̵͈O̸̠̎Ń̷͓!̴̺͐ ̵̳̔" She proclaimed with utter demonic delight, charging forward once again, this time meeting Nona head on in a clash with their blades. Nona could feel the incredible strength of Koyuki, and it was more than enough to buckle and push her back, but before she was completely shoved off, Varitas came in swinging on the opposite side, forcing Koyuki to block with her lance, holding the both of them back. Tsitsho, taking opportunity of her exposed chest, hurled another Javelin into her, causing her to be blown back, crashing into the remnants of what appeared to be a power pole and a collapsed building. Tori, and Riyel both took the opportunity to move in, both launching their own attacks, Riyel taking his gunblade and aiming, pulling the trigger to fire off another firaga, while Tori launched a Blizzaga spell. The massive ice bolder came crashing down on Koyuki, smashing her against the ground and causing her to stagger onto her knees.
Kalen, who, at this point had entirely focused on the sole intent on attacking his mother, came charging into the building, tearing through cables and wires from the power line and wrapping them around his mother. In her staggered state, she could not retaliate immediately, allowing Kalen to wrap the electrical wire around her throat and slam her through the building, tossing her back out onto the streets.
She growled out of agitation, being thrown around by everyone was pissing her off to no end. Once again, she raised her hand up into the air, and gathered a wide burst of electricty, intending to unleash another thundaja. "T̴̞̈́h̴͔̓û̸̩ǹ̶̲-̷̞͠" Before she could even finish her spell casting, Varitas leaped in, swinging his sword against Koyuki's shoulder from behind, completely destroying the mana flow in her spell, forcing it ti fizzle out. Being interrupted had her howl, but Nona would not let this opportunity go to waste. A haste spell was casted, and her speed bolstered, swinging upon Koyuki's body with her blade alongside Varitas. It was like a full on beatdown between the two, finished off by Babel who came sprinting in with a dropkick, sending Koyuki flying into Riyel's direction, leaving her completely open for his limit break.
========================
Ixion had taken quite a beating, and yet remained standing tall. Lightning cracked across the sky as the beast grew agitated, enraged even by the relentless assault. It had enough of this, and them. Its eyes flared as it turned its attention at first to Yukiko, the water gem having really hurt it. She continued to open fire upon the kirin, bullet casings littering the floor as she took off running while Ixion launched a thundaga in her direction. But, in the nick of time, Nyale's reflect had gone off, followed by Rem's slow on the beast. Time distorted, and slowed down the guardian force, and as Yukiko felt the blast of Thundaga hit her reflecting barrier, she made sure to angle herself away from Ixion, not wanting to reflect the spell back onto it and heal the beast.
Grunting, Yukiko finally felt herself at her limits, emotionally, physically, and quite frankly, her patience. She quickly dug into her satchel, grabbing a handful of grenades and antidotes. From there, she unleashed her blue magic capabilities, melding the grenades and antidotes together to create a complete cluster of bombs together. It was there, during that time, that Nyale took aim with her bow, blasting the GF with an arrow of light, the explosive holy force causing the GF to shift its attention to Nyale, slowly, thanks to Rem's efforts. On top of that, it appeared that Gilgamesh had made his presence known, leaping down to swing at the horse and strike it The mixture of blades, gunfire and holy arrows proved to distract Ixion enough for Yukiko to shout out something to them. "EVERYONE GET DOWN!" After that, she hurled the cluster bomb, watching as the pile of grenades landed right where Ixion was and went off in cataclysmic fashion. A series of explosion after explosion went off, five at a time, leaving the GF blinded, silenced, and sleepy. The beast was helpless, open for Gilgamesh to end it finally.
The War Wolf growled in irritation at the ineffectiveness of its assault, only to snort as Nona appeared to make up for the lack of judgement on its behalf. Her image was a gentle green, another parental unit that would not draw his ire. It only bowed its head before charging at its birth mother. The weakness that she had displayed at the onslaught of the numerous elite SeeD and himself had delivered to her. Her loud bolstering only served to fuel whatever strange rage resided deep within it. Once Riyel had launched a firaga and Tori a blizzaga to assault the monster woman, Kalen struck. The long and thick chord in his hands tightened as he launched himself at Koyuki. The chord twisted around her neck, trying to choke the life out of her as the beasts strength threw the woman through the residuals of what had been a skyscraper.
And it had pissed her off.
The woman rose up and tried once more, to take them all out in a single blow, but Varitas followed up with a well placed strike and destroyed her mana connection. Nona and Varitas began to beat down on her, Kalen charging once more as he he held the electrical chord tight after Babel's dropkick, twisting it to choke Koyuki once more from behind as Riyel stepped into frame, backing off just as the man waved his hand. The damage had been done and what the absentee father did next was a conclusive end.
Riyel had looked at Nona, winking at her before the assault. Perhaps there would be time later to catch up, but right now that he stood in front of Koyuki, this was his focus. "Sorry, hon. AURA." Riyel's body burst into flames, the surrounding area twenty feet from each side erupting as a tornado of flame ascended into the sky. It was a near apocalyptic site, anyone looking up at he tower of flame like God himself had brought the end of times. Inside, a man stood anointed in armor of flames, his exhalation exhuming fire as it would carbon dioxide. This was the limit of the Ringer. The flames burned over his body, adorning his face and limbs like the armor of a Paladin, eyes looking towards the frame of Koyuki. There was no way that someone other than him could withstand the heat in question. She would be sweating, spitting poison, and the sweat and poison would evaporate and become nothing other than burnt residue on the ground. "Behold the Emperor of Flame." His voice was loud and vibrant despite the rising tornado of fire, burning hotter than any forge in the world. "This is not your end, my love. This is just the end of your insanity. Feel the flames of my heart and the heat of my passionate soul! FIRAJA!" Motes of burning red lit all the way up and around the inside of the flame twister, burning brighter before suddenly, an earth rumbling eruption came from the top like a volcano.
Flames shot into the air as the twister blew its top, maintaining one of the most destructive spells within its confines, the walls of flame closing in. In one moment, the twister was there. In another moment, its flames had thinned out and vanished as the twister had come down all onto Riyel and Koyuki, one being able to live with the family...the other, being damn near cooked. In an instant, the twister was gone and the blonde man stood in front of her, the wind blowing to cool everyone down from the attack. His voice was emotive yet passive, looking down at his wife with a pitiful glance.
"I'm sorry."
Ixion neighed, Yukiko's explosion having rocked the damn thing. However, the roar of a motor cycle was heard as Gilgamesh made his charge. The celestial unicorn would only turn as a motorcycle slammed into its head, launching from a ramp of rubble as a pink haired man descended, one that Rem would recognize. "BING BONG, ******** YA LIFE, YA ELECTRIC DONKEY ********> Black earth rose from the ground as he landed, forming around Eren Kyng as green energy drew around him, the Aura Nona having cast upon him giving him exactly what he needed. The black, cursed earth combined together into a singular form, a large rail gun as Eren yelled. "GOODNIGHT!" It lanced outward, striking Ixion. No defenses would help. No spells would help. It would cut through any defense, Eren's rail gun assault timed just properly with Gilgamesh who let loose a loud cackle.
"NOW, YOU UNSCRUPULOUS CUR! FACE ONE OF MY FINEST ATTACKS! THIS IS YOUR BITTER END!" The armored warrior drew Zantetsuken and his naginata, launching the second weapon before charging in a flash, energy forming around the blade as a fast and sudden strike occurred, Gilgamesh appearing on the other side of Ixion and sheathing the blade and drawing his naginata. "Back to thine aether, you pony! Seek asylum from the curse that blinds you!" It was the end of Ixion, and the end of this battle. "Ohohoho, what a wonderful blade indeed! ODIN! I shall honor your memory with conquests using this blade!" He spun his naginata in victor, whirling in front of him before he struck a pose and sheathed it over his shoulder. "TO VICTORY!"

☠☠╰▷╮The dream I once had is no longer the dream I desire. Koyuki ☠ Vicaria "I will forge a path to the future with my blade. No man, woman, or monster will get in my way. For I am the rider of the storm."
The finishing blow on Ixion had managed to finally put the beast down, the GF collapsing to its knees, huffing and panting as it stared down Gilgamesh, fading, Yukiko, having finally seen the beast slain, was met with utter shock and awe as she watched the explosion from Riyel, the massive fire tornado spiraling around in the sky and completely enveloping both him and Koyuki had sent a massive shockwave across the battlefield. After such a destructive explosion, there was nothing but dust blocking everyone's vision of the scene, left wondering if that was the final blow.
As the dust settled, everyone could see Koyuki standing there, embers and flames scattered across her armor. She remained still, unmoving for several seconds, but eventually her hands let go of her weapons, dropping both her lance and gunblade down to her sides as she collapsed to her knees, hands pressing against the rubble concrete. Her armor began to fracture, pieces shattering apart to reveal beneath, not a monster, but the face of a human woman once again. Koyuki's silver hair flowed out from the shattered helm, and her broken armor feel to the ground, breaking and splitting until there was no armor left on her. She panted, barely conscious. Her vision blurred as she stared around her slowly.
Her eyes slowly looked up at Riyel, her expression gave no indication of how she felt. It was cold, even to him, yet at the same time, he could see a tired expression in her eyes, barely having any will left in her. In but a brief moment he could see that the weight of the world had beaten into her heavily, and at the end, here, she was truly at her end. The rest of the world didn't matter in this moment though, as she looked up at him. Not her fellow trabians, not her close allies, not her children. Just Riyel.
Trembling as she stood up on her feet, facing the man who was long dead in a nonexistent afterlife, she said nothing to him. Her gaze said it all, and perhaps she need not say anything at all for him to understand her. Her tired eyes lingered on him, as if to register that he was truly here right in front of her. Taking a step forward towards him, and reaching her hand out towards him to caress his face, she didn't make it any further than that first step before collapsing down to the ground, blood spurting from her mouth as she dropped dead to the ground, face first.

This entire thing was just horrid. Lisanna did not know what had happened to Koyuki, but the sight of her, and her actions. The snow haired woman knew the trabian was lost, but seeing her fellows and even her children and... her husband turn against her so willingly was a heartbreaking affair. While Lisanna sometimes hated how over protective her dear brother would get, there was a comfort in knowing that he would never let things get so bad for one of his family to spiral out of control like this.
Anyways, it seems her arrival was largely unnoticed. She did not arrive with the wild aggression that the Trabians did. No, she had stopped to study the condition of everyone, prepared to intervene in case of any life-ending attacks, but it seems the SeeD and Kalen had one another well covered. Words in a moment such as this wouldn't be enough for the trauma for Yukiko, the poor girl would likely be falling apart soon, and her brother was still a monster.
It was time to at least mend the wounds. A pair of dispels to remove the reflect from little Yuki and Rem, followed by a wide spread Curaja to mend the wounds of all who were still standing. Lisanna then came to a stop next to her child, Nyale and gave her a one armed hug. She was proud of her child, and unlike her brother wouldn't chastise the child despite having been worried to death about her. Would her mother have been the same knowing what the Everett siblings would have gotten up to?
It didn't matter. Her free arm pointed to Kalen, and she cast what was likely the last spell needed. Curse. The dark magic hit the wolf boy, stripping away his ability to limit break, and more importantly sustain it. He would quickly return to normal. "Riyel, your boy is going to need support." She wanted to be more compassionate, give Riyel, however he had returned a warmer reception, but he was grown. He could manage this, but Kalen was always so excitable and full of life. She didn't want him to lose that along with his mother.
