I like both equally. Medieval magic is good because I also like historical-fiction book. Modern magic is also good because it seem more updated.

Medieval... I think. I mean. I'm not fussed but it just turns out a lot of my favourites have been medieval-esque. But maybe that has got nothing to do with preference of subject style but more because of writing style... or something. confused

I definately prefer medieval fantasy, mostly because I prefer the setting and the type of magic. However, I do occasionally read modern fantasy. I've for example read "Spiritis in the wires", by Charles de Lint recently.

Actually, kind of both, although lately it's been more medieval, but Modern is also pretty good.

I lean more towards the medieval fantasy but I wouldn't shun the modern fantasy.

i've always had an aversion to modern fantasy, probably b/c i usually read fantasy to get AWAY from the real life world. then again, whenever i start a good one, i'm hooked. so while when i write and fantasize and stuff, it's usually medival, b/c i just love the swords and staff magic and stuff like that. but it also kinda interesting how authors of modern books always speak of the common skeptical pple with so much scorn, b/c THEY dont understand the end of the world is near xp , lol. but we're all part of that group, how many pple would REALLY believe that stuff if it happened, no matter that we might WANT to think we'd believe it.

I mostly like medieval Fantasy. I don't know why that is. I guess it just lets me get away from this world we live in more. XP Modern can be good too though.
