Actually, I dress this way because I like it. I like the way it looks. It does actually have a down side you know. I get people asking for gold all the time.

There are many older Gaians who eschew wearing their best items because they get tired of being harassed by noobs.

The fastest way to make gold is by donating to gaia and selling the letters.
Then there is daily game, polls, forums, market, coments... and so much more.

the only way ot make gold out of it is by having contest in there... other then that they are jsut for fun.. and also another place full of threads and forums and polls to make gold.

Okies. What is so special about overloading your avi with expensive stuff? Is it somekind of way of showing off that I don't know about or something?

I agree with Engi, i dress like this because i like it, BUT i never stick to one avi- too long. Too many cute, awesome, cool things out there.
ANYHOW the 1st question sadly puts you in N00B category... i know what your thinking ******** you, i'm no n00b! ah.. but you see people that aren't n00bs tend to dress well and oviously with expensive items because they've been around long enough (or are smart enough) to figure out the Gaia way.
Now lets look at it from another prespective. Gaia is a game, diferent then video games oviously, but still a game, and oviously there is no one thing we are all fighting for or working for right? No the way the game works is really by Senority (all our 03 veterans and even our 04 senior citizens), Our Smart people, who are bacily Grammar Natzies (goatcreature__MAGNUM is an evil Grammar Natzi), Being Talented in Art, having any kind of drawing or dital artistic ability gets you bigs points lots of gold and a good rep, Being Rich wich basicly includes being talented in the whole supply and demand, donating, or being a veteran, or jsut hard working.
Now n00bs... there are two kids of n00bs, the n00bs who altho they are new, they are smart, talented, able to donate, or jsut hard working, who get in here and kick but and in no time you don't even remember they were a n00b, they work hard figure out the system and before you know it they have a name for themselfs! And then there are n00bs who come in here and rather then trying to figure ou the Gaia way, they wine, b***h, beg, harras veterans, ak for gold, and basicly prove to be useless bums and so on. And ovisouly that anoys ALL the other types of gaians
And when you start to quest and finally get that time you busted you butt for, you will understand why most gaia who have it flount it! Because you earn the right to show off your expensive, cute, etc items by getting them. Not everyone doe it to show off, people jsut like looking good. But let's be honest here, looking expensive is part of the game, you get more respect, more attention and so on. It's just how Gaia is.
And like engi said the downside is all those begging useless n00bs asking us for ridiculous things like give me all your letters!! and so on, hence why it be a better place if those anoying n00bs ither knocked it OFF, or dropped off the face of the earth, ither one is ok by me.

what's with the outrageous prices for items that you can buy for 100g in the stores? Ex. someone sells a fishing rod for 1 million gold, and it only costs 100 gold (that's an exageration but you get the point right?)

It's ok when the outfit fits together but all to often I see people that are just overloaded with things which don't go together in any way. Both you and Engi look good and I meant no disrespect in anyway. Yes I will admit that I am a NOOB but everyone is at one point or another. I am just curious about if there is something special about having alot of expensive stuff on your avi.

Well, it really depends on your personality type, I think.

I wear mine because I like the way it looks. I've mentioned the down side of getting lots of people asking me for donations. The positive side is that I feel good to have succeeded in getting all these items. I have had some fortunate things happen to me along the way, but really those would not have occurred if I hadn't been a busy, busy person on Gaia.

I do pretty well buying and selling... I make 5-6k per day...

...except of coarse watching a dreamer who has nowhere to land but in the ocean of reality
