The 'Is black your favorate color?', makes no sence when you think about it, seeing as how black is not a color. It is the absence of color, or the absence of light.

Basicly, with let's say red, all of the colors in sun light get absorbed except red, which is reflected and is what you see. With black, all of the colors are absorbed, and you see no color whats so ever. With white, all of the colors are reflected, non absorbed.

What I mean is, no color reaches your retana (sp?), thus you see black, and thus it isn't color. Also, when there is absolutely no light, you see black, and light contains the colors. That is because black needs no light to reflect in order to be seen as black.
