Is smearing your eyeliner tacky?

I tend to wear it in whatever way obtains the most "holy damn" reactions. Usually that's a lot of black a-la the darker edge of Visual Kei.

I never smear it because I suck at that, I end up making it fade away.

My mom alway's says it's tacky and weird but it's not that bad i once got suspened for wearing my eye liner in a "not appropriate" way stupid teachers....Share your info on this subject

Well, actually, it depends on the school rules. The school and teachers wouldn't suspend you JUST because they personally didn't like your make-up. My high school is quite strict when it comes to how we dress/act/look, and one of my friends has been constantly told off for wearing far too much eyeliner (and she does wear far too much eyeliner for her own health..o.o;; ).

I rarely wear eye-liner when I do, I love the looks on people faces, it priceless and what they say to me is even better. I dont think smearing it is all that tackey. Then again I'm not someone that really cares about setting a fashion trend.

it's the stupidest idea ever, if you want that smudgy smokey look get eyeshadow, smearing your eyeliner is just dumb.

Depends on what look you want, and for the most part it does not look bad at all on girls..... Smeared eyeliner now a days is popular if you were to really think about it. I personally think smeared eyeliner is hot.

Personally, I don't care, but if you do smear your eyeliner, be subtle about it. Eyeliner is meant to be bold. And never smear liquid eyeliner, it gets freakin' everywhere.
