Any economists out there? If so, please tell us the trends of the rising and falling economy.

It seems that every 4-8 years our economy dips and rises, regardless of who's president. The president has very little control of the economy, save for a few things (such as tax breaks, which boost the economy... and so on and so forth).


That's true, but when your tax cuts only benefit the rich, that does hurt the economy. So does going to war, which was an unnecessary move on Bush's part.

Sometimes it does, but usually it's just temporary. And when a war isn't won quickly and there's no support from other countries, then the economy is more likely to be unstable.

Either way the economy definitely isn't good right now.
