Being from Indiana, I'll string words together that really make no sense, but everybody around me gets the basic idea and just pretends I didn't spew nonsense.

I forget words a lot, so I've made sentences where half the words were "whozawhatzit" or some variation. The scary thing is, I say stuff like that to my mother, and she understands completely. whee

I frequently forget names, too. I've asked people I've known for years what their name was.

I can't think of a specific incident, although I make some pretty whacky mistakes almost every day.

Most of my grammar errors come from spoonerisms...

I was going to say, "Ack, where's my phone!?" when I said, "Ack, phere's my wone!?" instead.

And there was this time when I was going to say to my brother, "Go feed the fish fish food." It turned out as, "Go feed the fish food." I missed out the other fish! surprised

EDIT: But then the extra 'fish' in my second sentence wasn't really that neseccary.. xd

User ImageIn my previous days, I went from n00b to Grammar Nazi.
((Let me point out that I am neither at this point in time.))
At some point during that time, I used to jump from Thread to Thread bitching people out because they have no "sense of Grammer".
GRAMMER!

In spanish class ( I did it on purpose ). Mi llamo means My name is, and it is pronounced as (me yammo) if you say mi llamo it means I lick. There was a game where you said a funny name for yourself. So I said 'Mi llamo es trenta anos chikos'

So I said I lick 13 year old girls. rofl Of course I am 13, making the blow a bit less sharp.
"Mi llamo" means "My am called"
"Me llamo" means "I am called"
It does not mean "My name is."
"Mi nombre es" means "My name is"

As for mistakes, I generally jumble up my words like, I need to tank the clean, instead of, I need to clean the tank.

This answers it all:
I tried to say "I'm fishing...for a fish."
It was around midnight, so I accidentally said "I'm fishing for a bish."

I happen to find many of your grammatical errors very amusing. It gave me a good laugh and reminded me of all the grammatical errors of my own. Although, there are too many to recount or think of right at this moment.

I've had my moments where my tongue gets tied and the words that come out of my mouth are quite amusing themselves. I always end up correcting myself in the end. . . that is if and when I catch my mistake. Other times my brain feels like mesh from a long day of testing or from a major headache. After a day of exams and long testing days on my way home from school I would try to say that I am 'brain fried' but unfortunately come out as "frain bried." Other times when I get a 'brain freeze', I mistakenly say 'frain breeze.' Its quite humorous.

On other occasions, when my mouth is dry, or is burned, or even the salivary glands are over working themselves my words come out pretty distorted. When I'm tired and not all there my sentences are pretty mixed up as well. I remember that I could not, for the life of me, remember how to say, "I try to make my writing eligible so that they can read it," but instead I said, "I try to make my writing edible so that they can read it." I've been corrected on that word many times. I also remember try to say that the food was editable but instead I said, "The food is eatable." Again, that is another thing I am constantly reminded on how to say. Here are a few other mistakes of mine:

"( .Y. ) < There is your booblie action!" (That was on AIM)

"Aw, look at the cute wittle boggy." Translated: 'little' and 'doggy'

"Come here my little buppy." Translated: 'puppy'

"Come see, Baty." Trans.: 'Katy'

"Where are the gouls?" Trans.: 'girls'

"Frain breeze!" and "Frain bried!"

"The food is eatable." Trans.: 'edible'

"I try to make my writing edible so that they can read it." Trans.:'eligible'

Not to mention that for some odd reason I struggle to pronounce my W's, R's and the word asks. Its hard to get that 'sks' sound. There are plenty others that I struggle at times. Sometimes I don't even realize what I say. Its quite funny when you hear me say it. Just like when I'm trying to talk to someone and I've got something else on my mind. If I'm reading Harry Potter I may accidentally call you Harry instead of by your real name. Its interesting really. Haha. I'm probably a queen at speaking incorrectly. As much as I try to be grammatically correct. =]

Wow, all of your stories are so funny! I was crying by the time I was done reading all of them. whee

Well, mine is pretty simple. I am very perverted, so when I'd think "pencil" I'd write or type "p***s". (Like I almost did whilst typing pencil the first time.) The most embarrassing time when that happened was when I asked the teacher for a p***s. Damn, that was funny though!

Another one of my typos is kind of like someone that already posted, typing "s**t" instead of "sit". Embarassing, really.

I don't think I've ever said any spoonerisms, but I do tend to get tongue-tied and forget how to spell the most easiest of words. I once forgot how to spell, "these" and I think I wrote down "tehes" or something of that sort.

Also, calling people by names of people they hate. That always gets me in trouble.

Hmm, I guess thats all of my mistakes, that I remember, of course.

I think the funniest mistake I ever made was over the internet in a chat forum.
I have no idea how, but I accidentally typed the word 'pole play' instead of 'role play'...
A fair number of my friends on that forum gave a hard time for that mistake... Especially since the letter 'p' was on the complete other side of the keyboard...

Oh, I do that all the time...

Dx

I'll type something out, like "that," and it'll come out os "aht."

"Mi llamo" means "My am called"
"Me llamo" means "I am called"
It does not mean "My name is."
"Mi nombre es" means "My name is"

Well, really, "mi llamo" would "my I call," not "My am called," because llamar is the root verb and means "to call."
And when used in the context of "Me llamo Joe," you would translate that to mean "My name is," (or if you want literally "I call myself.")

Of course, "mi nombre es" works just fine, but I
ve rarely heard it been used.

But I have the horrible habit of not pronouncing my words all the way.

So something like "I need a dollar, can I have one?" may come out as "I neea ller an I ave n plse?

What was really funny was when my boyfriend tried to insult someone and the insult came out to be extremely hilarious! He was trying to say, "Why don't you stick your head up my butt and fight for air," but instead he said, "Why don't you stick my butt up your head and fight for air." It took him a minute to figure what was wrong with that sentence. rofl

one day my friend and i were going to walk home from school and go to our local grocery store, foodland. At the end of the day another friend was like, "Are you catching the bus home?"
and I said, "No, I'm fooding."
stare
then i laughed and now whenever me and my friend plan on going to foodland we say "Let's food." or "Are we fooding?"

and then once a long time ago I was instant messaging someone and I meant to write "I have to go to LeeLee's house," but I wasn't looking at the keyboard while I was typing, and I wrote, "I have to go to PeePee's house," and he wrote, "Okay..."

and then i was writing on the white board in class, and I
m normally really good at spelling, but I completely spaced out and wrote the word 'sex' like 'secks' out of habit because i was writing it like that as a joke all morning. when i sat down the teacher just stared at me and then finally everyone understood and laughed. What's worse is that the teacher then spelled it like that all class long. stare

stare Capitolize your 'I's, please? That seriously bugs me, especially in a grammar guild.

As for grammar mistakes, I'm really dyslexic. I tend to type sentences out backwards or completely jumbled up. Pertaining to the funny part of this discussion, I can't think of anything. heart
