Seth smiled. "There's a good dragon. I'll put in a good word with my master for your fate. You may be allowed to join him, regardless of opposing him just now."

Sortai jerked an elbow into Seths chest, bringing a tiny spurt of blood. He winced, but didn't show any other physical strains. "Please... You guys just save yourselves. I dragged you into this, and there's no need for you to remain."

Seth looked around Sortai at the others. A twisted smile came across his face. "Hmm, how noble. Willing to sacrifice himself for his friends..." This brought on e more elbow from Sortai, who cursed at Seth. "Mock me if you want. Lets just get this over with."

Paradisity listened in quiet intent as her father spoke. She remained on the ground, still weak with the elements at a great peak in her being. She knew she was going to regret this in some way or another, but with her monitoring her father, him thinking that she was on his side, she could interfear if she knew that someone should not die. She felt a bit better at this, knowing that she might be able to save a few lives, but she couldn't even lift up her neck to spot her father on the ground below.
Not being able to think of anything more to say to her father, without giving her contemplating idea away, Paradisity merely spoke, in a weak voice, Yes father.

Pagaro watched as his daughter came forth to greet him. His eyes flashed, and no smile came across his face. "Tell me, daughter. Of what activities has your day been composed of...?" He asked nonchalantly, as if it were polite conversation.

Nadiva watched as the carriage approached the front stairs, as her father stepped out and glanced at her. She knew he was on to her. Remaining calm, she spoke.
"Hello father," she said calmly. "Well, after you graciously allowed Koda and I to go outside, I began thinking about the piano recitle for this evening, so I resumed inside my bed chamber, and practiced on my piano," she said, relaying this information as if she had actually done it. "After a bit of review on my piano, Koda and I went out into the royal garden for a stroll, and as we headed for the front ammenities, I saw one of your couriers, assuming you were coming home, so Koda and I came to greet you," she said looking up at her father, making perfect eye contact.

Tsurara growled at Seth as he spoke to her, mockingly. She did not speak as Sortai spoke, only listened, not making eye contact, or even lifting her head to look in his direction.Aloura watched in distress as she saw the blood coming from Sortai's neck. She was in no position to try and help, but saw the remorse in Tsurara's eyes. "Please, do not worry for our fate," she said to Sortai. "Only worry for yourself. We do not wish to see you harmed."
Lowri growled at Seth.
He has commited more noble acts in one day then you have in your life, she said coldly.

As he sat listening, Pagaro's face never changed. He seemed completely skeptical. Pagaro gave a harsh chuckle when she finished. "I believe you. And yet I don't. Lichve will tell me if you entered and left your room as you said you have when he returns." he turned his head to the gates to await Lichve.  

[Yvansi]

Seth laughed a harsh cold laugh, mirthless. "More noble acts in one day than in my whole life? Ha! As if I cared what the goody goody petty-thief-turned-Mage has done? I will be glad to watch the life drain from his body, if there is even a body laft after my master is though with him." He kneed Sortai in the back, bringing Sortai to grit his teeth and close his eyes. "Please don't speak any more. Your friend wishes no more pain."

Sortai gritted his teeth in silent hatred, finally speaking after Seth's last line. "Don't listen to him. Speak as much as you want. he isn't hurting me. You're right, and he can't do anything to you."

Nadiva, though knowing full well that he was on to her, acted as if she had no idea what he was talking about.
"Father, today was the house staff's off day," she reminded him politely. "Every other Saturday is, by your orders, a day for the house staff to do as they please," she said confused. "Lichve was out for the day," she said reminding him furthermore.

Pagaro smiled. "As you may remember, Lichve stumbled down the stairs last week and took the weekend off. He is working today to compensate. I would appreciate it if you would not insult my intelligence, daughter."

Nadiva felt a pang of fear as she remembered that insident, she did not let it show in her face though. She looked up at her father," Yes father," she said politely, as she curtsied in respect.
She stood behind her father in waiting for Lichve, hoping that Lichve would pitty her and watch her face and hands for answers to her father's questions. Lichve was her favorite house staff employee, he covered for her, only when needed, which wasn't often, but it was nice to have somebody who understood.

The servant named Lichve walked forth from the gates, his arm still in a light sling. He nodded with a smile to Nadiva, then Koda, then Pagaro. "You summoned, Majesty?" He asked with a bow. Pagaro looked silently contemplative. "When and how often did my daughter enter and exit her room today?" Lichve looked inquisitively and yet subtly to Nadiva.

Aloura watched in fear as Sortai fell to the ground, and saw the knife stained with his blood. She spoke under her breath, not being heard, a spell, that made the knife dissapear from Seth's grasp.

Nadiva watched in slight fear behind her father. She nodded back to Lichve as he entered thier sight and listened as her father began the interrigation. She lifted up her hand, and held up two fingers. One for entering her room, and one for leaving her room. Then she held up the other hand, putting up one finger, for the one o'clock that she had done so.

Seth looked in amazement to his bloody but knifeless hand. He leapt forward, trying to catch Sortai in a choke hold, but the brief moment of distraction was all Sortai needed. He was on his feet, holding his sword outward and looking much more confident than he had before, although his front was bloodstained and he looked a bit faint. "Leave here. You are outnumbered and hostage-less."

Lichve gave a slight nod and smile. "Well, if my memory serves, Majesty, she entered around 5 minutes after you ordered me to watch her room, leaving about one after noon. She mentioned the Royal Gardens." Pagaro grunted, defeated. "Escort my daughter to her room and assure that she stays there until the Duke and Earl arrive."
