Evando Rivera Junior
First Year - Gryffindor
“Had to be something personal, maybe they know each other already?” Evando responded off hand, still staring at the two boys scrambling on the ground. Other students from Slytherin quickly stepped in the end the show, but the damage to the house's reputation had already been done. Each student represented the house as a whole, just like a family, and a family won't stay together if they are fighting. He turned back to Chris and noted that he looked a bit nervous. “Look I doubt anyone in this house is like that. Think about it, the hat sorts you in a house that suits you perfectly yea? Well, that must mean everyone at this table is just like you” He pointed at the other first year, “Or me.” He said turning his finger back to himself. “I know I don't want to fight my own house, so I know no one else does either!” A brilliant smile crossed his face as if he had just solved the most complex riddle of life. It made sense to him at least and their table wasn't fighting, so it had to be true.
“So what cla--” Again Evando was cut off, this time by the Headmistress preparing to give her speech. He quickly piped down and turned his attention to her, better not be known as the loud mouth talking while the Headmistress is addressing the school. He cheered along with those aside him after she finished, congratulating Chris and others around him for making it this far. Suddenly a rush of new smells hit his senses as a feast just appeared on the table in front of them all. Instantly he filled his plate with whatever he could get his hands on. He was never a picky eater and it all smelled and looked so good that he just couldn't help but to indulge a bit. After downing a glass of pumpkin juice to clear his throat, he turned back to Chris. “I can't wait to get this year started. I'm ready to hit the ground running.” He tore back into his meal making sure to finish every bite he put on his plate.
