"I'm just used to what I remember seeing. Don't mind it too much." Aden said, feeling that remaining on the subject would be ill advised. He walked inside and looked around instinctively, seeing the hallways. With the glance, he had a hint that, unlike the Pre Gym, this one really was closer to what a traditional school might be.
Seeing the lady, though, he started to doubt that there was anything that weird. Maybe it was just a bad first impression or something. "Ah, yeah. We heard something about looking for people to test the students?"

Seeing the lady, though, he started to doubt that there was anything that weird. Maybe it was just a bad first impression or something. "Ah, yeah. We heard something about looking for people to test the students?" "That's right. We do have a few students that are getting ready to graduate. Granted, they don't have to win their battles, but they have to show how well they can perform in a Pokemon battle." she said. "In other words, actually go on putting up a fight and deem this just a easy thing." "I kind of implemented a similar thing back at the Mahogany gym actually." I said. "Yes, I heard about you. You are. Blizzard, correct? The apprentice? Its good to have someone representing a gym every now and then come here rather to lecture or to battle with our students. We do try to get Falkner or any one of his followers to come here, but well. What can you do, right?" she asked. "Well." I rolled my eyes. Personally, I could understand Falkner. Jackie? Ummm. "I suppose." I said. "So which way do we go?" "Just down that hall, 3rd door to your left." she said, pointing towards the hall to the left. "Thank you." I said, walking down the hall. "Come on, Aden."

"I'm surprised there's a place like this around here... there anything like it in the other regions? Except for Orre, anyway, I know about the Pre Gym." Aden couldn't help wondering what Jackie's problem might've been. Falkner probably did come here some when he could, and now there was him and Blizzard. An apprentice out of another gym and, in a roundabout way, an apprentice of the apprentice. He couldn't see himself ever taking such a role for real, though. As he followed, he just couldn't picture himself sticking to a gym.

"Oh come in~!" A voice from inside spoke. The voice made me wince. Dear God, it was...HIM. I opened up the door and made my way inside.

Even Aden cringed a little upon hearing the voice. That... did not sound like someone he'd want to see. He had a bad feeling that Blizzard had a good reason to mention how weird he was, but he tried not to say anything about it as he followed inside.

He had a bad feeling that Blizzard had a good reason to mention how weird he was, but he tried not to say anything about it as he followed inside. Inside Aden would find the classroom itself was rather large. The class size? Eh, not so much once you take the Pokemon out of the question that was with the various to-be trainers. The walls would be properly decorated with posters of various epic battle shots in famous battles that happened within the Pokemon league tournaments, this region's Elite Four's Pokemon, and the like, as well as various things like charts for Pokemon Typing and so on, for educational purposes obviously. The class itself? Roughly one could say they would be at the standard beginning trainer's age. 10..11...maybe 12 at the very most. "Come in, come in!" The Teacher in the front of the room spoke. He was a fairly husky man, mustache that he liked to twirl in his fingers on occasion, and looked dressed as any man on a casual day. Nothing odd...mannerisms on the other hand...well. With a few ballerina like spins to start things off, he flipped over tables and landed in front of the two of us with open arms. "Welcome to my class! I have been expecting you two! I greatly thank you for coming to help me with my class! Now now! I don't want you to take it easy my students, no no! Oh ho ho!"

Weird, Aden could quite easily take. That was normal far to him by now. However, this never accounted for something weirder than that. The dreaded weird-plus-one. He had to wonder if perhaps this guy was better suited for a dance studio. He soon dismissed that thought, as even a place like that would consider the guy a verified screwball in any pocket that existed.
If it wasn't for that, he'd have figured nothing was that out of place. He took one glance at Blizzard, silently acknowledging to just take his word when something's mentioned. "Yeah... glad we could help..." So much for thinking that he had seen everything.

The teacher with a couple of cartwheels made his way away from us, handplanting on one of the tables and staying in place. "Oh ho! Such fun we will have this afternoon! Class, to the battlefield, chop chop, please!" The students and the Pokemon started to go off towards the door at the far back of the room. The teacher then landed on the other side of the table. "Come on! Come on! The battles are this way, yes?" "Lead the way?" I spoke up, starting to follow the class off to the outside.

At this point, Aden mentally declared that if he ever had a teacher like that at any age past... maybe four or five? He'd sooner leave the room screaming. Forget the dance studio, this guy was an outfit and some face paint away from being a clown. He quickly followed, if only to keep his time around this guy brief.

Forget the dance studio, this guy was an outfit and some face paint away from being a clown. He quickly followed, if only to keep his time around this guy brief. When we finally make it outside, Aden would find that there were three battlefields instead of just one. And they were rather simplistic ones at that. A dirt battlefield, with powered chalk lines where they needed to be, the center of the field of course would resemble that of a Pokeball, which is fairly standard in anyplace where there is a sanctioned battle such as Gyms or tournament battles for that matter, if Aden took notice or not. The students and their Pokemon lined up on the side on one of the battlefields and the teacher skipped ahead on the battlefield, then made a few more spins ultimately facing the class. "Ok Class! We have two tough competitors here to test you all this afternoon! You show how tough you are, ok? OK!" The teacher spoke. "Mr. Articuno-man-sir! You mind taking that one over there and you can take half of this bunch if you don't mind, hm?" "Uh, yea sure." I said, taking out a Pokeball walking off towards the adjacent battlefield. "And you, mai boy..." He then said looking over towards Aden. "Can take control of this one and take the other half of the bunch, ok, hmmm?"

"Just keep your calm, Aden, this can't be as bad as you're thinking. He's only ten thousand times worse than the guy that runs Celadon's game corner is all..." This was going to be an awkward day. At least when it came to this teacher. For his sake, he made every effort in his mind to never get bored or else some other weird guy might come and make things even worse.
"Right, sure thing, sir." He rushed to one of the ends and nodded, getting a Pokeball out and ready.

First up was a young boy. Ten years old ish. Kind of short though, for his age. Looks like the bookworm type. "Hi." He spoke up. "Come on, lets go lets go!" Doesn't act like it however. "Let me see what you got!"

Aden had a couple of doubts of just how studious the student before him was. For what it was worth, however, age did make a difference. Studious or not, he was still young. He'd be seeing if any such habits existed before long anyway. "Right. You better not hold anything back!" Knowing that Mareep still needed a little more time before he up and let her out, he opted to send his Nidoran into the fight instead. Start at least somewhat small, he thought.

The boy looked back towards the small group for a second then back at what he had to square off against. "A Nidoran. A male isn't it?" he asked. Well someone paid attention to that much. "Ok then how about this! Teddyursa!" He shouted. From the bunch a Teddyursa came out and ran out on to the field, ready to have at it against the Nidoran. "Teddyursa!" the bear shouted.
