Name: Kamau Meaning: Quiet Warrior Nicknames: -- Species: Leopard Gender: Male Stage: Adult Mate: None Offspring: -- Pride: Mizani'Ulimwengu Rank: Council Specialization: Jedi Peacekeeper Clan: Snake Seer: No
Roleplay color: #776f8c Obtained: Bingo Game - 29th aug 09 Colourist: Yuna
. razz ersonality:. Quiet, a bookworm in human terms, he is very well travailed. Independent from necessity but apt to be rather withdrawn in company. Excessively polite and usually soft-spoken. He can fight and is actually rather skilled in combat, but is more of a pacifist by nature. Certainly the 'think before he speaks' type.
.:History:. Kamau is my oldest soa, well into his mature years now, he has spent his entire life wandering the roguelands. A quite, scholarly type who has seen almost everything the world has to offer. I'd love to make him an original member of the pride. Being that he is much more mature and very steady in his views, he would be the perfect candidate for the master title. If he was allowed as an existing member, he would have been trained from Youngling through the Snake clan. Upon reaching the rank of Knight he left the pride and spent several years travailing as an ambassador of the Jedi, visiting many other prides and speaking to others of the Jedi Way, prides and rogues alike. Despite his age he can still give a good account of himself in a fight, but always tries and talks the situation down before resorting to violence, no matter how brief the fight tends to be. Finally returning home as he approaches his twilight years he is ready to settle down within his homeland and take on a padawan of his own, something he has not done until now.
Council: He is a steady, experienced male who has grown up cradled by the pride's beliefs and lived his life according to the Way of the Force. He has never had children, nor a romantic relationship. Experienced and pragmatic, he is more of a philosopher than a warrior, but has all the skills any good knight should possess, including basic healing craft and the battle skills of the guardians, having many a trick up his proverbial sleeve thanks to his time in the rogue lands. Not much surprises this experienced male and it is about time he settled down and passed on his wisdom and life experience to the next generation.
. razz lots:. Takes Conrad The Mighty's cub Lindiwe'Oliva as his padawan.

Name: Yosun'karanlik Meaning: Dark Moss in Turkish Species: Lion Gender: Male Parents: Viktor x Sendatu Mate: n/a Pride: Mizani'Ulimwengu Rank: Youngling Specialization: Jedi Guardian Youngling Clan: Ratals Seer: No
Roleplay color: #378413 Obtained: Contest Colourist Nerpin
. razz ersonality:. As a cub he is shy and uncertain, prone to being bullied not only due to the colour of his coat, but also his 'weak' or rather, delicate personality. But as he grows and gradually adapts to his life in the pride, he becomes a devout and dedicated student to the Master who apprentices him. Eventually he matures into a calm and steady male who, though he still has a soft heart and the tendency to be a bit more lenient on the youngsters than he should be, has learned how to moderate his feelings to protect both himself and his pride. He is proud of the pride that took him in and gave he and his siblings a second chance, and wants to do all he can to protect them.
.:History:.
. razz rompt Response:. Sighing deeply the youngster slumped down on the bottom step of the temple, tail tucked close round his rump as he hung his head in dejection. It would have been ok if the other cubs had outright ignored him.. at least then he could concentrate on their studies.. but instead of that he got the wrong kind of attention... whispers that stopped when ever he got close, side-long looks shared between the other youngsters as if sharing some great secret that he wasn't part of, or rather, that he was the reason for... and not in a good way. He had caught some of those whispers and knew what the other youngsters thought of him. 'Spawn of the sith', 'tainted' and 'slimy' were the most common. 'froggy', frog-boy' and many others along that theme were also included. HYosun knew his green and black coat closely resembled the shiny tree frogs that lived in the forest, and the fact that the little creatures were often reviled and considered gross didn't really help his case with the other cubs. Somehow the frogs and the sith had been connected in the whispers and now not only did he look like a frog, but he was supposed to be spying for the sith.
Another sigh escaped as he hung his head lower, tiny body hunched. It wasn't enough that the cubs teased him, but he had been told off by a Jedi Knight this week too... while running away from a group of cubs that had taken the teasing from whispers to much louder comments, he had accidentally strayed too far from the temple and been spotted by a returning Diplomat. His ears folded back as he recalled the harsh yet gently worried tone of the huge male... he hated disappointing the pride that had taken them in, but it seemed that no matter what he did, he was a failure.
The sudden sound of pawsteps coming down the stairs behind him made Yosun jump up and skitter to one side, worried he would be told off for being in the way, instead, a pale furry chest adorned with the beads of a councilman appeared before his wide eyed gaze. After a moment he gathered the courage to look up.. and up.. but not so far as he normally did.. for the adult was a leopard and not as tall as many in the pride. Blinking he realised his jaw was gaping open like a fish.. oh god, not only was he a frog, he was a fish now too! But the growing panic in his head was stilled by the warm, understanding smile of the important-looking adult.
"I find myself needing a bit of fresh air... would you like to join me for a walk, Young one?" The soft, gentled tone of the male instantly put the youngster at ease, making his little body slump with released tension. "I... uhh..." Memories of being told off filled his head, but then the adult winked at him and nodded tot he path that led away from the temple. "It's alright... I'll take the blame if we are caught yes? I feel the need for a little exploring." With a warm smile the councilman moved down of the steps and started along the path he had indicated, pausing after a moment and looking back over his shoulder with a questioning smile. "Well... are you coming Yosun?"
For a long moment Yosun stared after the leopard, jaw hanging wide in utter shock, but the gentle prompting and that warm, friendly smile snapped his mind back into operational mode and he yipped in delight. "Yes! I'm coming!" Bouncing forwards, all his cubby energy restored, the youngster scampered after the old councilman, chattering happily about the latest lessons they had taken and all the things he had learned.

. razz ersonality:. She is fully dedicated to the jedi, in fact she is so driven that as a young adult she looses her path in her desperate struggle to become the best jedi she can. Flirting with the darker side of the force she has a chance meeting with a sith apprentice, challenging her devotion. For a time she walks both paths in secret, part jedi, part sith. But finally, with great difficulty and support from her master, she returns to the jedi fold, changed, but all the stronger for her mistakes.
.:History:. Once returned and having proven she is fully jedi, she devotes herself to studying histories and gathering knowledge. As she ages she becomes a valuable source of support for the younger generations who are struggling with the pull of the dark side. Not all can be saved, but Levashka has first hand experience and never sugar-coats the truth, often proving the voice of wisdom that helps young apprentices fight back their darker urges.

Lifting his head he cast an eye over the cloudless sky above. The heat had been a surprise when he had first left the mountain, but now it was just a constant annoyance. It was like a great weight that pressed down over the land non-stop, only lifting to be replaced with a sharp chill each night.
He didn’t struggle as much as he first had, but he still found it draining at times. He had taken to sleeping during the hottest part of the day and doing most of his travailing at night. It was easier and he had found a particular pleasure in traversing the landscape at night.
So far his journey had been interesting. He had met and spent time with many animals, including baboons, giraffe and long-horned antelope. The incident with the honey badger was unfortunate but he wasn’t naive enough to believe every encounter would be a welcome one. And so far the few fights he had gotten into had been minor with no injuries given. He had, however, had occasion to use his stash of salves and powders and had treated everything from a painful snake bite to a deep tear wound that had nearly disabled a young lioness, gained from hunting the wrong buffalo.
However he hadn’t seen another creature for a while, except a pure white bird he thought was an eagle. It seemed to be keeping an eye on him, flying away only to circle back a while later and shadow him before vanishing again. The bird was directly above again, winging lightly along as if suspended in the scorching blue sky. Standing he watched it for a while but eventually it wheeled lazily away and vanished into the distance.
Shaking his head at the strange behaviour he continued along the path he had picked. There wasn’t a track to follow, nor any kind of marks in the windswept sand. He followed something only he could feel, a nudge deep within him where the Force resided. He had no idea where he was, but he trusted his instinct, and knew that whatever happened, he was meant to be there.
As evening drew closer he realised that the heavy weight of heat had lifted slightly. More so than simply the day’s waning warranted. Pausing again he tipped his head back, searching for his silent follower. The bird hung seemingly motionless in the air, some distance ahead. But something else caught Yosun’s gaze. A deep blue line stretched across the horizon, almost shimmering as if caught in a heat wave.
Confused he stared at it for a long time, unsure of what it was. The most likely explanation was a rain cloud in the far distance. But it didn’t seem cloud-like and it was too blue. Not the dull grey that rain appeared from afar. But since the tug he felt through his connection to the Force was still drawing him towards it, he guessed he would find out sooner or later what it was.
His guess had been right as, hours later in full dark, he crested a sharp rise and was stunned at what he saw. Water, for as far as he could see, lapped at the grey sand below. The moon, a slim crescent, hovered above and a second shimmered in fragments below. A salty breeze ruffled his fur and he realised with a shock that it was the ocean. He had heard of it from his Master, but he never thought he would actually see it. That meant he had come as far as he could in this direction… so what of the tug from the Force?
Puzzled he looked round, searching for some sign, some hint as to what he was supposed to do here. Suddenly, from out of the shadows of the forest, a figure stepped. Squinting he struggled to identify it in the darkness but then it made its way down the sand to the water’s edge and as if by the will of the Force, it suddenly resolved into the figure of a lioness.
At least if nothing else, she would be able to tell him where he was, and maybe even held a clue as to why he was here. Without letting himself think about it further and risk loosing his nerve, he stepped down over the lip of the eroded hill upon which he stood and made his way down towards the mysterious stranger.
As he grew closer he could make out more of her. Smaller than many of the lionesses he had met so far, with a pretty white and soft brown coat that would have been good camouflage in the forest but out on the beach it only served to highlight her.
She hadn’t seemed to realise he was there as she stood gazing out over the swelling waves. Her expression was so sweet and dreamlike that he felt uncomfortable about disturbing her. But just as he started to turn away she spotted him. Surprise flashed through liquid brown eyes before a shy smile bloomed. It made his breath catch, for she was simply stunning. Like a Goddess, all innocent beauty and a sweetness of expression that derailed his thoughts entirely.
Finally realising that she was now looking puzzled as well as angelic, he managed to return her smile with an embarrassed grin. Closing the distance between them he was momentarily at a loss as to what to say.
“Hello… I didn’t mean to interrupt.” Pausing he smiled again, apologetic. “I’m Yosun, and I was hoping you would be able to tell me where I am?”
Her smile was radiant as she moved closer, shrinking the distance from strangers to friends. Her coco-brown eyes warm and trusting. And a protectiveness took hold of him so tightly he almost lost his breath all over again.
When she spoke, it was with the softest of tones that were like music, warm and lilting. Her accent clear and exotic. “It is nice to meet you Yosun. I am Tahirah.” She suddenly paused and a warm rosy colour flooded her cheeks. “Ahh.. that is.. I’m normally known as Wren.” She dropped her gaze and seemed both apologetic and nervous. It made him wonder why, and he hadn’t missed the fact she had given him two names.
Yet before he could say anything else she looked back up, seemingly having composed herself somewhat. “This is the edge of my pride. Not many come here..” Her soft gaze turned curious as she looked him over. And he assumed she wasn’t used to either green lions, or strangers…
“Have you come a long way?” She asked with that soft smile again. Distracting him enough that he barely caught her question.
“Ahh yes… some distance… from the Mizani'Ulimwengu.” He smiled at her blank expression. “I’m a Jedi.” It didn’t seem to help her any so he simply smiled, and steered the conversation towards the land upon which they stood. After all, he still needed to discover just where he had ended up. But the Force had quieted in him and he was certain he was on the right track.
