Asuma, miles away, felt his beard was threatened. He caressed it lovingly. surprised

Asuma screamed like a little girl. This roused Chouji from a deep sleep, and he hit his head on a shelf as he sat up quickly. surprised

Upon waking up, Chouji realized that he needed a new outfit, so he wandered off and eventually ended up at the head shop.

For some reason, Chouji took the statement as an insult and did his Human Boulder Technique, completely obliterating the head shop and rescuing Gai's head in the process.
