She snorted, a coy smile on her lips. Surely a scar like that couldn't be so easily forgettable. Not that it was extremely visible. It certainly wasn't the first thing she noticed about him. Or anything soon after if she were completely honest. She turned on her heel, waiting for the door to shut behind him before she rearranged the purse over her shoulder and ran her tongue over her upper lip. It was a cooler day, surprisingly. Overcast too. Slowly, openly, she looped her arm around his, holding it loosely against her side with her other hand on his wrist as if he were to actually escort her into the darkness; not that it was anything close. For such a good looking guy, she was somewhat surprised he didn't have a girl on his arm at all times. Or maybe he did and she wasn't too fond of the bar scene. "So tell me about yourself Finneas." She turned down the alley, around the corner, and began to make her way uphill towards Cerise. Thank God she had brought an extra pair of shoes today and left her stage heels at Neon. "Where you come from, if you're from Soleil, what you do in your free time, your favorite sex position. You know, the usual let's-be-friends junk."

Finn didn't flinch, or pull away, when Candy looped herself around him. While it had been awhile since he's had an openly public display since Bree, he wasn't going to push her away on that premise alone. She had moved on and so should he. Golden hues gradually shifted to the pinkette beside him as he wondered what could come of them hanging out. He didn't expect anything from her feeling that just because she considered herself 'the party girl', that she would just jump his bones because she was bored. He followed along with her, nearly losing his balance though when she said his full name. He was certain he had never told it to her, so she was either sneaking around his office while he wasn't there, or someone has a big mouth. Bree. She was the only person he trusted with such a secret, despising his first name. He just didn't like the way it sounded and hearing it said by someone else creeped him out a little; Bree was never even allowed to say it.

Finn caught himself however, and cough as a way of clearing his throat of the embarrassment. "I'm not from Soleil. I'm actually from the 8 mile..." he paused and thought about how many people only attributed that phrase with the movie. "Uh...in Detroit. But uh, I usually play guitar when I'm bored and video games for fun." Pausing to think about her second question, wondering if he should really answer or not. He wasn't sure there would be much harm, but such a subject was personal. As far as he was concerned, they were merely work friends. Wasn't this why he was walking through downtown with Candy in the first place? It was to make friends. He needed friends that weren't just 'work friends'. Allix was the only one so far and he needed to have a drink with her some time soon. There was nothing he could do if he became friends with the strippers at work; it was inevitable really. When you work at a strip club such things were bound to happen. "Hmm...Probably the Table Top. I know a lot of short women...What about you' to all of that?" Finn turned to her expectantly waiting for her to pony up the info.

She kept her arm loose around his, her hand clasped gently over his wrist; his bare skin was warm. And as she felt him slightly stumble for what she assumed was the sex position part of the question, she clicked her tongue with an amused expression, watching the occasional passing pedestrian on their uphill climb. 8 mile... She quirked a dark brow- She hadn't gotten the joke and only nodded as he explained himself. From Detroit -dirty- played guitar, and video games, hn? And that was it? That was rather... Boring. Why wasn't he in a band? Or working at a music store? What in the world drove him to be a manager at Neon? Unless he was, perhaps, attracted to the scenery? A spectator of sorts. She pursed her lips and squinted passed her sunglasses. Nah, she doubted it. He didn't seem like much of a drinker from what she could tell - but she was also on her pedestal most of the time, moving around on stage and paying more attention to the dollar bills being thrown at her beneath her star-sticker covered nipples. "Kinky! Hope I'm not too tall then." Weren't the quiet ones always?

She flashed him a look and shifted her shoulders. "Moi?" Of course he expected the same. "I'm from the Florida area. I don't remember what city I started off in, but I mostly grew up in Miami. Party toowwnn~." God she missed it there. Where the men weren't afraid to flirt, buy her a drink, and the women were confident enough to befriend her just over her hair and dancing. "Drink, dance, basically what I do at the bar but with sex on most nights." She shrugged. "I don't know if I have a favorite, but I guess I like to be in charge. So whatever ends with me on top~." She coo'd. There was a small bout of silence before she opened up on her next question. "So, the scar, where'd you get it?"

He noticed that she seemed disappointed with his answer, like she was looking for the juicier details. Just because she was a work friend didn't mean he really knew anything about her. He didn't trust her. Sure, he had told Allix basically everything that had happened up to this point, but that was after they had gotten to know each other a bit. It was inevitable that he would mention things here and there to her, he had met the minx basically after returning to town and was in a completely different mindset. Now? Out of muscle memory Finn chuckled at her quip about being too tall, while still thinking about what was safe to talk about and what could possibly trigger another emotional breakdown. With no real friends left to speak of, he suffered in silence at home. There was no one there to offer support so he didn't self destruct. Yes, he knew he was wrong, but that didn't mean he wasn't suffering too. He was suffering over his mistakes, his guilt, plus the loss of a once hated person turned friend.

Finn subconsciously listened to Candy, nodding along and giving the occasional hum of recognition. He was still lost in his thoughts, but she didn't give much in the way of who she was. The party girl, she had already mentioned that and it was something he had gathered from her nights at the club. It made him wonder if there was more depth to her than just that though. When silence fell between them, he thought that maybe she was becoming bored with him. He wasn't as full of boundless energy as he once was, but had become a bit more grounded, a bit more grown up. Would he ever be that happy again? His attention turned to her fully when she brought up his scar again, his free hand coming up to graze over it. The screaming of the car horn, blinding headlights and the glass of his helmet shattering flashed through his mind quickly. "Motorcycle accident," he replied as he dropped his hand.Finn looked her over and figured that simple answer wouldn't do for her and rolled his lips over his teeth before continuing. "The night itself is still pretty much blank, but I got a hard enough hit to the head to completely lose my memory. Became a totally different person for almost a year before my memories came back." Would that quell her thirst for knowledge on his battle scars?

Overall ignoring most of the puddles in the surrounding terrain, a moderate pace was kept up as Aislin ran through the rain without putting too much thought toward how wet she currently was. Despite a dislike held against the rain in general, there was a sense of urgency that overrode her preferences at this time; food and other necessities coming first. The current pace however slowed down as she neared a corner, mentally running over what she remembered of a map currently with her, but wasn’t worth taking out from her skirt pocket. A swish of her tail stood with that pause before she started up again, her peer down the street at the other side of the sidewalk making it seem like she was nearly there. It was dark, as a generality, but she could still see as well as she could with the street lights providing support, the crack of a far-off thunder then putting a general focus back more to what she was doing.

A move further ahead started up then, a couple shops passed by without given enough attention to actually know what they were about. She couldn’t waste time there, as far as understood; that apparent enough with how the water was running down around herself, her already damp fur unable to pick up more of the downpour, thankfully. In the distance ahead, she could see what she was aiming for; the sign for the grocery store not exactly standing out from the background by itself, her attention regardless put toward that frame. There weren’t any other people around that she had to be cautious of, that registered as a side-note as she walked at a quick pace ahead, careful to note where she stepped as was normal, the risk of anything on the ground better avoided.

the rhythmic clack of heels against the wet pavement could be heard as Audrey made her way around the bustling streets of Soleil.typically given the weather she likely would have stayed home of course but given she would be starting up her job at the salon soon a little freshening of her wardrobe felt needed. As she continued her journey she was sure to look over the different window displays hoping for something to inspire her but so far seemed to be having no such luck. She did spot something else somewhat interesting. Though she supposed the correct term would be someone. Not too far off she could see some sort of cat girl who seemed to be enjoying the mucky weather about as much as she was even managing to get her fur a little damp despite having an umbrella on her so Audrey made her way over to offer her slightly larger one instead. With any luck it would be enough to keep to rain off and she was about to go shopping anyways so it wouldn't hurt for her to pick up a new one.

Crossing a few yards ahead, keeping up her careful walk and attention to the surroundings both directly ahead and to her sides, there was a pause around the time Aislin had passed about halfway the distance she had left until reaching the front of the grocery and the cover it would provide. Her ear flickered, mind wavering toward the left before her line of sight followed suit. Over from that angle, someone had stopped amid the sparse crowds and started to head her way, that not catching Aislin’s attention at first, except until the figure had neared to a yard’s distance. A wary note briefly crossed her perspective but was put aside after a few moments, realizing that the other person most likely wanted to ask something, not appearing to have a threatening demeanor to them or holding anything that would suggest trying to take advantage of her person. Although more aware of the fact that she was in a city, and a new one at that, her guard was dropped relatively quickly as the person offered to share the umbrella she had with her.

After a pause, trying to put together a response that didn’t seem too forced, Aislin’s voice came around within a few further seconds of indecision, a smile briefly flashing by as she nodded in agreement and gave a further note of thanks. "Thank you, I didn’t have a better one with me." Looking off to the grocery in indecision for a moment, a question was further directed to the person nearby; a stranger still; but someone who had offered to help. "I was going over to the grocery; it’s not too long of a walk if you weren’t going the same way." Not wanting to turn down the offer, but also not wanting to take up too much of their time, it was an attempt to keep from causing them too much trouble.

In response Audrey just nodded. Normally she would use her phone or notebook to communicate but given the weather of course and not having free hands or even knowing if the cat girl person even knew sign vague gestures would have to do for now. Of course she had no plans to go to the grocery store originally but as she had pointed out it wasn't that far out and its not really like she had any set location planned in the first place so it wouldn't hurt to at least pop in there long enough to give them both a break from the gross weather.

At that Audrey just gave the other girl a sort of half smile as she then began making her way towards the grocery store making sure to walk slowly enough for kitty to keep up. Though once they got there she should probably actually exchange names with the stranger instead of just mentally referring her to as varieties of cat. Eh oh well. There wasn't much she could do about that currently.

After making an attempt at thanking them, there was a nod and smile in return. Not quite questioning why the other hadn’t spoken, although the fact did cross her mind, the walk ahead began. With the other moving ahead first, she followed after almost immediately once the moment passed in registering the path forward. Aware that the other was trying to keep up a slower pace, her own picked up by a short extent; between both walks the front of the grocery shop blocked out part of the sky ahead as it was neared.

Once reaching it, and the small covered space that made up part of its front, Aislin paused before giving the other a further smile of thanks, moving the umbrella in her grasp to close it shortly, further lack of complete decision delaying her words before attempting that. "Thank you. It might be too forward, but I’m Aislin." With the general fact that she was new here, and how the other girl was one of the few people she had met since arriving at the city, it seemed appropriate? If not, that could be skipped over, or at least she hoped. It was a different setting, and even when having some things straight, there was some chance more was necessary.

Alex groaned as the sun light entered her room, had she really forgotten to close her curtain before heading to bed? Rolling over to face the wall she hid under the blankets trying to fall back to sleep. With time passing by and no chance in sleep returning to her she sat up rubbing her eyes while scooting herself back against the bed frame. With a thunk the book she'd fallen asleep with landed on the ground and with a roll of her eyes her head touched the wall. Another day had come and she was still in town. Thankfully she had found a job she could manage and could actually enjoy showing up to. Today though, was her day off, the ink would have to wait for another day as she needed to get some air and explore her newest home. Maybe today she'd meet someone who would be more then just another client.

"Alright then.... Time to get up." Tossing the blankets to the side Alex reached over and picked up the book, with some luck the book mark hadn't fallen out yet. A sigh escaped her as she stood and placed the book on her nightstand. She'd probably loose herself in it again tonight anyways, so why try to put it away now? After fixing the sheets she managed to rummage through her clothes eventually figuring out the outfit of the day. Something simple would do just fine, though thanks to her own history she'd remember to bring a jacket. With her clothes placed on the bed she began the rest of her routine, shower, brush teeth, braid hair, and simple makeup. Once dressed breakfast was next on her list.

Omelette or bagel? Bagel or omelette? Something quick meant she would be able to escape the house faster. Bagel it is! Grabbing a blueberry bagel from the pantry she sliced it and tossed it in the toaster, as it cooked she rummaged around to find the cream cheese and poured herself a cup of orange juice. Leaning against the counter sipping the juice she closed her eyes. Soon she'd have to check in with her mother, simply to keep the woman at bay, but for now that could wait. She still had a few more days before she'd begin to track her down again. Her thoughts where quickly interrupted as the toaster popped sending her bagel in the air. A quick spread of the cream cheese, a rinse of the cup, and a pocket check later and she was out the door.

Nibbling on her breakfast as she walked through town, Alex watched as other people began their day. Children ran around laughing and Adults scurried along to their jobs. The streets of Doux, her new found neighborhood, seemed to bring her back to old days where she'd run through old forgotten towns that had been taken back by mother nature. She didn't mind it in the least, the green moss and stone walkways had always appealed to her, though she could do without the air being so wet, a bad sign that she'd eventually get a cold if she wasn't careful. Her neighborhood eventually faded into another and as she continued to walk she made her way to the parts of town she had yet to visit.

After window shopping and flower spotting Alex eventually made it downtown, the streets where lined with neon lights and small crowds of people. Had she been drinking all of it would have been too much for the blue haired woman. It wasn't hard to spot the frequent stops, as even this early in the day people where making their way into them. Opting to continue to look around and browse she managed to wrangle an orange spiced tea out of one of the coffee shops she found.

Simon Connely was having a bad day.

It was a very dark and rainy day yesterday, and it gave him quite a hard time heading home from the
Cut ‘n Stab. A lot of people were taking the bus and so it meant long, winding rides and overloaded
busses. On a normal day, he wouldn’t be facing this predicament since some preferred to take the
bus—but, ah. When there was a storm brewing, he guessed everyone just wanted the convenience
of not getting wet. Simon did not have that luxury, though. He was sopping wet by the time he had
arrived home and had gone to bed cold—even after a warm shower.

                              Today was not much different.

Although the skies were slightly clearer and the rain had subsided to a lighter drizzle, Simon really didn’t
have much of a good sleep. Coming into work groggy had proven more challenging than easy. He wasn’t
making mistakes, per se, but it did take him a little longer to process things as they were. It resulted in
him asking for half a day off—mostly to allow himself some time of rest to recover from his earlier
blunders. Instead of heading straight home, though, he opted to make a detour towards the Soleil
downtown to pick up a few groceries on his way home. He mostly needed a refill on his coffee beans and
some of the snacks. He’ll pick up the rest of his weekly grocery some other time. Right now, he just
wanted to get the little items…

Which proved to take longer than expected because of the long queues down at the grocery store. It left
Simon frustrated. It took him 30 minutes just to get his items punched out, that by the time he was
done, he was left fuming more than anything. 30 minutes. Just to pay for coffee and a few snacks! He
was storming through the streets with gritted teeth; clearly in a horrendous mood. There was a female
wandering the streets with bright blue hair that Simon quickly took notice of—followed by the cup of
coffee she held in her hand.

“Ya, where’d you get that mug of caffeine?” Simon questioned her a little too roughly. He had
stopped right in front of her, looking like an angry chihuahua holding a bag of groceries. He squinted at
her cup. “God knows I envy you right now. Ugh. I need that in my life.” Did he sound sarcastic?
He probably did. “Listen, if you can direct me to where you got that, I can trade you off for some
                              of this uh…”
Simon stuck a hand into his grocery bag as he shifted around its contents, until he
managed to produce a few of the honey sticks. He’s not sure if this person liked honey sticks, but they
were his priciest buy and they went well with whatever hot beverage. “Honey stick. Sound fair?”
He questioned. He rarely did stuff like this, but after a two day bad luck streak, he sure needed some respite.

Alex had been staring at one of the neon signs when suddenly a man followed by an attitude appeared in front of her. Caught off guard she took a step back trying to quickly evaluate the situation, before rolling her eyes. If this was actually the coffee you thought it was I'd hand it over, as it goes, it's only tea. She debated for a couple of seconds if she should help him or not, looking at him she knew today was already rough and looked like a helping hand might just turn the tides even an inch. So far she was in a good mood and had nothing planned for the day, plus getting to know more people in town had been her plan all along. and no matter how cautious she was becoming she needed to stick to it. As it stands, the spot is around the corner, and I have nothing better to do. So....I might as well lead you over there so you don't get lost.

With that she turned on her heals and started walking in the direction of the stand, it was just around the corner but with the way he looked he'd probably get lost. No sense in letting him suffer. Alex spent the small walk in silence as she listened to the sounds around her, not sure how to talk to the guy she was leading around. As they turned the corner the little stall came into view only a few feet from them. There it is. She said as she pointed at the spot he so desperately was looking for. Trying to take another sip of her tea she groaned, gone already, maybe she should have gotten the larger size anyways. Stepping towards the stall she made sure he was in front of her as he clearly needed his caffeine. Looks like i need a refill anyways...
