Its funny really, the people who troll and say "viva la 4chan" are the people on gaia who complain about the trollers/themselves.

Whats 4chan?
The internet hate machine, they like to consider themselves enemies of gaia. Just one of the multiple chan boards, Fchan for furries, 420chan for stoners, etc.
Ive never heard any of the "chan" websites. Excluding Fchan.
The new episode of Family Guy is on, Peter said "Im so hungry I could eat a horse." Then it showed Peter in a bed with a horse, and peter looked at the camera and said "I misspoken."

So... Yeah... What are peoples thoughts of closing this old CB down, marking it as a memorable thread and opening a new one in its place?

I very much thing there should always be an official AFG chatter box thread, but this one is old and over 4000 pages. Some newer members coming in might appreciate the fresh start.

I think that it would be a good idea. Kind of need a fresh start with this guild with so few active members. sweatdrop

Though it'd be kind of sad to see it go...

A nice cleaning will help...Our vaccums don't work. Well cleaning through it is a neccesity, we don't NEED it though, we can't just lock inactive topics.

It would be a bit of a pitty to see it go, but I can hardly imagine what wacky things may come of the new one.

neutral Even more so as evidence presents itself.

That is a very odd statement, since everything one does is evidence towards their character.

I think this one is just fine, if someone joins a guild and see's a topic has over 4000 pages, it most likely be the first one they look at.

I looked up 4chan and this came up, http://www.4chan.org/ its a image site? Or is there a .us or .com website for 4chan?

Someone who doesn't know about 4chan, eh? Wow.

All right, as a former /b/tard and 4channer I must clear this up.

You linked to the right website, btw.

The chan phenomenon started with 2channel, or 2ch (the same 2ch that Train Man posted on), an anonymous discussion board in Japan that is widely considered the largest board ever, with over 10 million users. One of the reasons it was created to be anonymous is to allow people to speak their mind without reprisal, and in a society like Japan's where people are overly polite and tactful especially to their superiors, it's a good place for people to vent, hence the popularity.

Then came Futaba, or 2chan, which is an image board version of 2ch, also allowing anonymous posting.

Back in 2003, some people from Something Awful's anime board, including a guy named "moot" had the idea to make a english version of Futaba. Thus 4chan was formed. 4chan later spawned other boards, like 7chan (a replacement when 4chan died for a while), 420chan, and of course Fchan.

4chan is a pretty tame place if you don't go to the most popular board on it, which is /b/, or random. In /b/, everything LEGAL goes, and it's much like an image version of bathroom graffiti, crude, rude, immature, obnoxious, gross, and full of black humor. The people of /b/ post the most sick pictures they have and like to get laughs at the expense of others. Many memes spawned here, and quite a few of them became popular around the rest of the internet, such as LOLcats, Rickroll, and Chuck Norris jokes. Think of a meme and odds are it was started on /b/.

/b/tards also don't like furries that much, or gaia, although ironically I'd say a good portion of the /b/ population is either a Gaian or a furry or both. Occasionally furry threads start on /b/, and for a while there was a furry friday, which was the only day furry pics were allowed to be posted on /b/ unmolested. (And then some /b/tards countered with Caturday (saturday), which is where LOLcats started).

Any questions about 4chan can be directed towards me since I went there since 2003 or 2004.

As I said before, it's like bathroom graffiti in image board form.

/b/'s NSFW, and pretty crude. Just remember to go in there with the attitude of not being offended easily.

You have been warned.

The rest of 4chan's tamer though... there are some porn boards though.

Yep.
I use this program called Skype and I had a conversation with someone from Korea over it, I used a translation site of course but it was amazing how we were two different people from different countries communicating like that.
