Cyborg 009 was about a group of cyborgs who battled an evil organization. each had different abilities.

001 was a baby with psychic powers
002 could fly
003 i think was super strong
004 i think had flamethrower breath and cooked
005 was a gal?
006 shot rockets out of his hands?

etcetera etcetera. Kind of like.. ah... astroboy meets power rangers meets cliche plot.

Kinda being the operative. It's an older anime, but frankly, didn't really hook me.

Ronin warriors, i think it was called, was my old fart's fun.

003 was the girl, and she had clairvoyance, IIRC. I'm almost pretty sure 004 was the one with the gun-hand and rockets in his knees.

Kikaider was interesting. Short-lived though.

Here's an oldie for you whippersnappers: Battle of the Planets, aka G-Force.

Oh I loved Gatchaman. heart I used to watch that every meowning before I went to school.
They did a remake a few years back, saw it, like it, but it was like a movie so it wasn’t very long.

G Force was weird.

They had to all be onboard their ship or else it couldn't fire its missiles or something.

The old TV show I remember that they each had a vehicles, like the leader had a small prop driven air plain that turned into a little jet fighter, the second in command had a hot-rod car of some kind, the little kid had a mini-tank, the girl had a motorcycle and the big dude flew the main ship that they all hooked up to and formed a bigger more powerful ship.

I only watched the new movie like once and don’t remember much from it. sweatdrop

G Force had a lot of panty shots of the girl when she was in uniform.

Voltron was weird in one regard. When Princess Alura took Sven's place, you'd think she'd have been given command of the black lion. The Voltron Force was effectively under royal command anyways, so it'd make sense she'd be in charge, not Keith.

That reminds me, would Lotor be considered an original emo?

@DA; It’s like every time a girls in a skirt in anime there’s a panty shot, the little perverts call it ‘Fan service’ I think.
there was a few episodes of the Longboat Voltron where the princess was being trained to operate the black lion, and one where she acutely fly’s the thing into combat, only to get shot down and rescued by the rest of the team. I love the fact that half the team’s uniforms matched their lions paint scheme.
