Nice choice. I've been playing on and off for 18 years, myself. 3nodding I've been debating getting a Flying V or Explorer at some point. ^^

The Gibson V's are nice, but, the Dean VX is my choice. My brother's got one. The explorer's nice too, Sqwizgar in Dethklok has one and Toki has a flying V. Dean VX is pretty much the same, but the headstock forks out.

I'm the heavy metal/insane metal dude, so, I always wanted the $700 Leatherface Schectar. And 18 years, wow, that's a good number; I've been about 1 lol. Brother taught me, I'd say I'm decent.

Though my absolute favourite guitars are Jacksons. That, IMO, is *the* metal guitar. mrgreen
