During the third Clone war, the Thrawnclone led a clone revolt with clones he had cloned from veteran stormtroopers. He led his clones against the New Republic at the Battle of Gark during the summer campaign on Burg.
They woul have attacked during the winter but due to Burg's unusual lunar rotation it got rained out.

See, the thrawnclone was kind of lame. If you clone Thrawn, you dont get Thrawn's cunning, his disipline, or his spiffy white pants. Just a guy who looks like thrawn.
It was in the Hand of Thrawn dualogy.

I think Zahn has something in his mind that will allow him to clone Thrawn and retain his abilities. Because he said that if the Galaxy ever needs THE Thrawn again, he can bring him back via clone...
