ElladanKenet Dathomir. One of the few planets with a Force-user majority, Dathomir was a planet buried in the outer rim, and lost beneath a matriarchal society. The planet was the seat of a sect of humans, where most women could use the Force and most men were their man-slaves. Dathomir saw several sects of Force-wielders rise in its history. The most known are perhaps the Nightsisters, whom controlled the planet during the waning days of the Republic, and until after the Yuuzhan-Vong War. These were an unofficial Sith-cult, held under the thumb of various Sith lords until the Jedi liberated them, and attempted to found a Jedi Praxeum on the planet. The Dathomiri, not liking the idea of male Force-users, kicked them off planet, and started their own Force-witch Praxeum, led by one Master, her Witches, their Apprentices, and their male servants. These weren't, however, Jedi-wannabes; most Force-Witches used a variety of abilities, ranging from Mind Trick to Force Lightening and Force Choke. Their power, however, was always limited by their own petty traditions, and lack of knowledge; most Dathomiri considered the Force as nothing more than Magic, and attributed their power to casting spells and using words to use their abilities. Oh, and Dathomir also happened to be the home of the biggest, baddest Rancors in the galaxy, some of which could topple AT-ATs, understand and speak some basic, and even showed minor Force-adeptness when with their Dathomiri masters. This, of course, all changed with the Second Sith Inquisition. Thanks to the Dathomiri allying with the Loyalists, when the said group was forced to flee. Now left to its own, Dathomir was blockaded by the fleet, and Darth Krayt and Imperial High Command immediately ordered subjugation of the planet. Resistance was high. The Sith, or Jedi for that matter, were never welcome planet-side, and they fought fiercely. Hundreds died, entire villages were razed, and at least an entire herd of rancors were killed. This all was compiled by the fact that, to intimidate the planet, the Sith Inquisitor, Lord Sin ordered the death of High Witch Grela, the adoptive mother of Kathleen. When Kathleen's ship left hyperspace and spotted the Nemesis over the planet, she immediately sensed what had happened. She raced down to the planet, into the forests where her pet, Baal, used to live, looking for answers.

Nelowulf What do you mean "until talon makes the scene"? Im talking about ferno here. Someone like Sin would not be so easily underestimated. Being as aged as he is, Talon's inexperience would still be too much of a risk out on the field. She got her a** handed to her by Cade, an unpracticed force user. I like Talon, but she's still too young to consider as a true unparalleled threat like Maul or Vader. Well, that's a fifty fifty coin. Chances are, if Sin didn't realize an assasin was falling him, he's pretty much dead, since he alone is mediocre against duels, much less an assasion. Chances are, however, he'll sense the preempting attack like he's forseen almost all of his possible deaths. At that point, he'd just wait, then crush the foolish incompetant.
But trhough TK-00 into the equation, and just about anyone short of Ferno is brutalized.

EK, you really think that someone as high ranked as Sin would be so grossly underestimated?
Ferno would demand the job himself, for a multitude of reasons which are more than plain to see. Even if Sin is his inferior, going ronin in his own department, especially someone who supposedly is as old as he and claims as much as him, it would boil Ferno's blood keeping the hipocrite alive.
Going ronin, Sin would simply give Ferno a legit reason to kill the b*****d. Its like the covenant killing the heretic. You're up against the avatar.
as for troops on the planet, Yes, they would. But not when Jaden is being tested. Ferno's not going to let Jaden run away wounded. Initially I was going to blow up Jaden's transport as well, just to make sure there was NO means of survival or getting off planet.
Remember, this isn't whether or not a planet lives or dies. If Jaden wins, he brings the troops back. If Jaden dies (and consequently the licker lives), all sentinent life on the planet goes with it. Because I doubt that any dathomiri left on the planet are strong enough to kill it, and with its DNA recombination, it can simply grow stronger with each kill.
So to answer your questsion? No, they don't. Any further rebellions will either be checked by the licker, or other troops. But why risk wasting valuable resources?
Plus, as Sin is not part of the standard forces, his own troops were limited. He's an inquisitor, not a general. His command on the planet would have to be replaced with a more permanent force later anyhow. He may be able to bring down a strong inital force, but stormtroopers need to get replaced with regulars sooner or later.
