I thought about that for a second. A Lairon, or an eventual Aggron would be a powerful ally. But I already had Drillbur, who'd evolve into Excadrill eventually, I was sure. Would they even get along at all?

Well, Dan was being nice enough to give me one of his pokemon in exchange for him taking Bagon off of may hands, so I felt bad about being picky. "Sure, that'll work," I told him.

I recognized the machine instantly - it was one of the latest models that Silph Co. has put out recently. "I can figure it out," I said to Dan. "They had this exact model laying around at Pokemon Tech."

Soon enough, Bagon and Titan were in the correct spots, and I was working the buttons on the machine to begin the transfer.

I picked up Titan's pokeball and gazed at it. I had done it. Bagon was out of my hands, and my bedroom would be all the better for it once I could get the dents out of the walls. But what now?

Titan, being at his second evolutionary stage, was too well trained to listen to someone who didn't have any badges. Like me.

I was now aware of how long it's been since my defeat at the hands of the Striation City Gym Leaders. I had a full complement of six pokemon, two of which were fully evolved, while two were at their second evolutions and two were at their first, although powerful for their youth. It was a good balance... for now.

"Thanks," I said to Dan, looking up to him as I spoke, only to return my gaze to what used to be Bagon's pokeball.

Maybe it was time to pay Striation City another visit.

Veronica had fallen asleep on the couch, in front of the tv. Her pokemon were up and about, chatting and playing among themselves about the adventures. Until she started to drool and her Trapinch bothered to get up to wake her up, BlackCrystal knew how embarrassing it could be. However, the result wasn't so pretty seeing as how Veronica rolled over and dropped on BlackCrystal.
"OW!" She jolted up, hitting her hand on the nearby table. Tears ran down in her mind, Why... She glared over to her pokemon whom returned her gaze with pure fear. Her eyes read death, but Veronica chilled back when she heard the others laughing. Chi... oh, whatever, return. She set four of her pokemon back in their pokeballs, leaving Moon and Havoc out, deeply thinking about what to do with these two.

((computer shut down crying ))

"Oh.." Veronica turned to him. "Yea, I'm sure they got a kick out of it." Her Riolu took the liberty of walking towards Sub, not stepping aside if Sub would trample over him. Veronica didn't speak out, in thought.. Poe? That's his Sableye, right? Memories of the creepy sableye that stalked her came to mind for a moment, but she tried her best not to let that terror show in her expression.
"Hm?" She noted her Shinx react to the Riolu's bad behavior, "Hey, I rarely see you around." Veronica thought out loud about Sub. "Other than the missions, I mean.. What are you doing around here?" She looked around, realizing the obvious answer, though it was better than stopping the chat.

It sounded nice, and indeed the HQ was like a second home, but his response made Veronica realize how much she tended to sleep out in the wild than under a roof. You did ask for adventure.. She thought to herself, then sighed that the world didn't need to be saved at the moment. It was a perfect time to do whatever. "Yea, I'm surprised it's not a dark type, Ralts are adorable though. I had a hard time naming Moon, my Shinx. I even had to take him to a name rater." And helpful in battle. "Is it male or female?" Veronica asked, wondering what Sub wanted to evolve the Ralts into. Havoc the Riolu held out her hand to greet the Ralts.

"Well, honestly I didn't capture her by choice, it was a funny accident. That said, I don't regret getting her, I've grown attached." He smiled as he looked down at his tiny Ralts. "Such is life I suppose. Any who, she is a female, if you couldn't tell already by how I keep addressing her as...her." He laughed. It was then that Sub noticed Ryan enter the room and waved to him. "Hey there water boy. You doing okay? I know you were using your channeling a lot back in Sunyshore City, it didn't take a toll on you did it?" He asked Ryan out of concern. "Ral!" The Psychic type took the Riolu's hand, with both hands, and shook it with a smile on her face.
