December of '93. My mom had an arsenal of DOS games and when I wasn't even 2 I was fumbling around with games like Blake Stone, Hugo's house of horrors, Duke Nukem 2...all sorts of stuff. (93 was the year I was born, by the way.)

I remember the demo for Blake Stone 3D.
The villain, Pyrus Goldfire, scared the crap outta me back then. He was like the boogieman in the game in some levels, teleporting in on you in some rooms, and would continue to do so at times, really freaked me out since you get that, " You can't rest and you're never safe. " feeling.
Considering I've never been a fan of horror, I kinda hated that part of the game.
My 1st FPS though, was Wolfenstein 3D.
At least, I think it was. I've played so many virtually all my life that I can't remember if some weird no-name games came before or after.
Ken's Labyrinth FTW?

Flashback was weird.
It took me ages to figure out how to beat the 1st stage alone.
Target Earth was interesting, being old SEGA game. It's hard in itself if you can't dodge too well, even on easy, not to mention mission failure potential.

I have the strange urge to fight in the name of something wholesome and moral... and to sacrifice myself in the end for the greater good...
...how disgusting it feels. Yuck.
