Other: Linnea has a pair of wings that she can retract at will, but her wings never grow large enough to fly with, as she dies at 17.

Sixth Sense (special power): He can impress upon people the need to do something (inadvertently controls their mind). It's earned him teasing before, because of his name ("Simon says").
Weakness: Is hurt easily, for a vampire. Still not as bad as a human though.

Echi walked along to Forks High, carring her old backpack. It was the end of summer and she was the new kid here.

Linnea woke up rather late for her first day of her last year at Forks High, because she'd forgotten to set her alarm clock the night before. The sun hadn't waken her up earlier, because it never could get through the thick curtains of black velvet that Linnea had hung from ceiling to floor. Only the sense that another day had begun - another day less for her to live - startled her from her semi-deep sleep.
