Carthson Blikk
Because the Republic had more troops, more ships, and not to mention, the jedi on their side. Don't forget, also, that even with the mandalorians being defeated, they inflicted a massive blow to the Republic.
That's part of the point. It shows one of the mandos' biggest flaws: Arrogance. If the republic had enough of a numerical advantage that it assures their victory, the mandalorians still trying to take over the galaxy shows either suicidal disregard for both life and prospect of victory, or a complete over-estimation of their own abilities that doomed toem to failure.

Arrogant or not, we Mandos would rather leave our killer with one eye, rather than just lying down and accepting death.

That said, it is undeniable that the Mandalorians bit off more than we could chew for the war.

I'd rather dye then be merked in a war. At least we scared and left a mark on the galaxy, rather than being sore losers in the war.

"Put Captain Solo in the cargo hold..." awesome quote.

And who said we're invincible?

Nobody said it explicitly, but more or less in the way we've been talking about em' as-of-late. The uber-fan craziness that surrounds the Mando'ad does get a tad annoying from time to time, though the same can be said of the Jedi or Sith or various other groups throughout history and/or mythology.

I agree with you 100%. Sometimes, a certain SW group gets overrated, and it bothers me. I thought (still do) it would be awesome to ink a mythosaur somewhere. But, it still gets to me. It's not a real race.

But, it's ok. My... my XBox came back from the Microsoft Hospital. She's going to be OK.

Glad to hear it.

My computer, (or Starkiller's computer, to be exact), is still a steaming pile of poodoo. I think I'm just gonna start saving up for one myself, but considering the dung-heap our economy's currently in, I'm not sure if I'll be able to for awhile...

Not really. The amount of performance you get out of an alienware is better, but the cost isn't justified. the extra 3k you shell out for the namebrand could be spent on parts and upgrades for the next 12 years in a normal tower.

It's definitely worth it. And that's called value. The only way you'd have an extra 3 grand is if you customize it with NY Yankee steroids. You can buy a really good one with good gaming capabilities for 1 grand. The extra "3k" is most likely your optional things. I looked into one before, customized a laptop and it came out to 5. But I got the best components, plus a whole deal of customization.

The Jedi, Sith, and Mandalorians are kinda invincible. Keyword: Kinda

There's no true Sith anymore. The race died out forever ago. The ideal however, will always live on. You learn that in KOTOR.

Well, the same is true of the Jedi. There's always gonna be people who wanna keep the Jedi's teachings alive, etc.

Just as well, the Mandalorians aren't a race anymore, nor are they all of the same blood, etc. It's an ideal of more or less a " perfect " warrior of honor, etc. There's always gonna be someone who upholds those ideals.

By that logic, all 3 groups are virtually invincible. You can annihilate the people, but the ideals behind them will always remain, so they can never be truly defeated.
