Ok well here's what happened lol!
*spoiler warning*
Ok so you know how they were all on the plane right? Well they all died once they hit the water. Meaning that the so called Island never existed. What it actually was, was in fact Pergatory. And the Black fog was supposed to be the representation of evil, Jacob was supposed to represent Jesus. That's why you see them all in the church at the end of the episode. Because their spirits were finally at rest. Yup. That's what happened.
