Rosalind became very nervous. "No, no, please. I won't have you spending all of your time bothering with me. I'm sure that Jason is having a lovely time, I don't want to spoil it for him."

Julia was adamant. "No. You're gonna have fun at this dance!" She dragged Rosalind onto her feet and pulled her through the crowds to look for Jason.
Jack grinned.

Rosalind was startled and tried, to no avail, to excuse herself. "Daddy will make you feel better..."Rosalind pulled her eyes tightly shut and pushed herself away. "No!" She began to cry.

Julia was alarmed. She led Rosalind back to where she was sitting before, and asked, "What's wrong?"

Rosalind could not speak. It took her minutes to regain control. "I'm sorry," she said meekly. "I hope I haven't embarrassed you too much... I should leave." Rosalind stood, somewhat clumsily, and tried to make her way to the door.

Jack blocked Rosalind's way. "You're not going to get over this until you talk about it."

Rosalind could feel the adrenaline build to panic again. "Please," she whispered before clapping her hands over her eyes and falling to her knees.

Jack sighed. "I didn't want to have to do this, but I have no choice." He breached Rosalind's aura, ignoring all memories except for the one that was making her like that. He mercifully made it so that it would only replay for him, not Rosalind. Afterwards he retracted. "I'm sorry, Rosalind... I didn't know..." He got out of her way. "I won't tell anyone. I swear."

She stuttered, "Kn-know what?" She was so self-conscious. Everyone had turned to see what had happened. "I just need to get some rest," she said, regaining her footing.

Jack's voice softened so only Rosalind would hear. "What happened to you when you were young." He sighed. "Go. You need rest. I promise not to tell anyone." He turned to the rest. "Go back to what you were doing, or face divine punishment." His arm started smoking. The students hurriedly returned to their dancing, and he retracted from the power.
Julia asked, "What did you see?"
Jack shook his head. "I can't tell you. I swore not to tell, so telling is not something I can do willingly. Even I keep my promises."

Rosalind nodded and obeyed, stumbling away through the whispering clusters of students. She walked, face down in shame, as quickly as she could until she met with a table. The buffet table was across from the exit, but Rosalind did not move. She could not move. That face...

[I'm feeling a tad release-all-manner-of-Hell-like myself at the moment. I'm not quite sure why.] Tears streamed down her face. "You," she pointed fiercely. "I hate you!" Rosalind could no longer see her surroundings; all of the walls that she had built around herself were crumbling. His face was changed. The statue before her was no longer that of her school-mate, but one darker. It turned to her. "Daddy will make you feel better."Rosalind couldn't take this. She took the ladle from the punch bowl and brought it down crisply on the ice. Chips flew out around her. She hit again and again. "Get," she cried, "Away," smack, "From me!"

Jason walks over to an empty table and sits down in a chair, he rests his head in his hands as he lets out a heavy sigh

Jack was alarmed. He turned to Julia. "Stay back until I need you." He ran over to Rosalind. "Stop!" He commanded. "Or I'll force you!" His arm glowed blue, a sign of aura.
