There's always espionage. Of course that would require a very stong will in a character, to dabble in the darkness and not become corrupt by it.

True, but a consular could use the force while flying to augment things outside the cockpit...
But if he needs to run into nakara, there's little the force will do. Nakara's rather resilient to wizards due to shapeshifting and a split mind....

That and I dont think they have the reaction time required for Starfighter combat...
