Got a haircut today. Two reasons: To make myself look decent for a job interview and also to make a second attempt at a long hair look but just simply starting from scratch. BEFORE:  AFTER:

SlR PRIZE @LoA: 1: Long Hair guide hint number one: DONT CUT IT. wtf. 2: You so don't look as metal as you are. Yeah, problem is my bangs weren't growing to a right length AT ALL. Plus, I had probably would've had to cut it anyway if I was guaranteed to get the job. As for the second message, yeah I was kind of worried about looking less metal if I cut my hair. But there's a difference between looking it and actually being it. Besides, I'm planning on gradually growing it back out anyway; this'll just not make me look like a bum for an interview.

It is odd that he would give you a hard time because he is seriously considering cutting his hair for the same reason. He desperately needs a job, as my shitty daycare salary is not cutting it. @Reg: He used to get mistaken for a girl all the time. In all honesty, I kinda have a love-hate opinion on my new hairdo.
On the upside, it's short enough to not be a bother and it reminds me of my younger years when I didn't have long hair, plus it would increase my chances of getting a job because I'll look more like a productive member of mainstream society.
On the downside, I don't look as metal as I really am, plus I've gotten so used to having long hair that I honestly feel naked having it this short.
But like I said, this haircut's only temporary. I'm growing it long again, but it's going to take quite some time (I'm hoping in less time than it took the first time 'round).
