Behold, the Aromatic Saturating Station, AKA, The A.S.S.

And here it is in orbit of an unfortunate planet.

Here we see it attacking the planet, and the planet having suffered prolonged exposure to its massive power.

Similar to the Death Star, it's about the size of a moon. However, unlike the planet-busting superlaser of doom, it doesn't actually hurt anyone, but it does make life total Hell.
It emits a gas that slowly begins to blanket the planet's atmosphere, corroding, eroding, rusting, etc. all manner of alloys, usually metals, and creates a very nasty stench in the air that can gag people because it's so unbearable.
Once the entire planet is enveloped in this unholy stink of corrosion, the specially equipped ASStrooper squadrons aboard it can make planetfall and secure key points and structures without suffering from the effects, the eroding effects of this deadly weapon having rendered the planet virtually defenseless against them.
The one weakness is that, while the emission section of the station is built to be immune to the effects of itself, the rest is not. While it is built to be extremely durable and strongly shielded against attacks, a major breach near the emission could cause the fumes to leak into the station itself, damaging the unprotected areas. While it can be fixed in time if nothing else causes any major disruptions to prevent any repairs, a strong constant bombardment can cause the station to be unable to seal itself properly in contaminated areas, resulting in this...

Should that occur, the station would meltdown from an inevitable reactor breach, finally exploding in a fashion similar to the Death Star, only much stinkier.
