avenged_king iBarty avenged_king The video for "Nightmare" by Avenged Sevenfold is amazing. I don't know about the video being amazing, but the song is. The music video was rather creepy..but I still liked it. I heard the song before I saw the video and liked it then..so I can't wait until this release because I'm sure it's going to be a good one!Same here. I agree, I think it will be powerful emotionally because they will be trying to make The Rev proud, I think the album will really be in honor of him. I can't wait for it! biggrin
I almost got emotional when I saw the drum set in the video to be honest. It was enough to distract me from the DISGUSTING tarantula crawling all over it, and I HATE spiders. Yet, it didn't bother me in that video. eek
I didn't really start liking the band until last October, so having The Rev die so soon after I started liking A7x made me feel like all these bands I have been getting into, are curse because either someone dies soon after I like it or they've been broken up, or whatever. gonk

They captured The Rev in the essence of his drum set. They showed The Rev in the beginning with M. Shadow's tattoo. I think Nightmare was the last song he recorded.
]: It happened how it did, he is missed a lot though. He is Rocking In Paradise.

As a huge Dream Theater fan I have to ask, how much of the album is Mike Portnoy drumming on?

He's drumming on a considerable part I think though. They chose Portnoy because that was The Rev's favorite drummer.

iBarty avenged_king iBarty But yeah..I'm excited for the album to come out because I want to hear more of it! I still need to give their other albums a listen (I only have City of Evil and have heard samples from the Self Titled album and then one other)..but I'm less likely to like the more "heavy" metal stuff because I don't particularly like screaming I can't understand. The Self Titled album is amazing. Haha, Shadows is quite good at that! Yeah, I like some of the songs off of the self titled album.. Originally I was going to ask for it for Christmas last year, but then I heard stuff on City of Evil and liked it better so I asked for that first. This year I probably will ask for the self titled album though, and I'll probably buy the new one myself if I like enough of the songs on it. I will not justify buying a CD anymore unless I like at least half or more of the songs..when I was younger I bought some CDs just because of one or two songs...lame. The self titled album Shadows had to take a break from screaming because of his vocal cords, so the self titled album is a lot more mellow with Country influences. Great album. I think that no one will regret buying the new album, I have a feeling, and based on Nightmare, that it will be an awesome album. Haha, I did that too. Just look them up on Youtube first, maybe.

Well, there wasn't really yelling stuff in City of Evil..that's when it started to mellow out. But yeah, I need to look up the other albums and their song lists and go to Youtube to listen being I'm sure all of them are up on there.
