Somewhere in the base, in Maia's little nest of things she'd stolen from Hawk, a baby blue egg sat amidst a pile of blankets and wrappers. Slowly, it began to rock... Then, it suddenly opened in a very unspectacular way. The pokemon inside just kind of... kicked its way out. No cries, no jumping... just hatching. The Wynaut that just emerged into the world found.. no one. So, it sat down, and stared forward, waiting for something to happen.

Maia found the pokemon sitting in the remains of the eggshell, as if the baby hadn't even tried to move. The girl was carrying some more pilfered sweets... so she figured she might as well share with her new guest! "Hello there, you! awww you're so happy..." She cooed, looking at the pokemon's smiling face, and thrusting a honeybun into its lap. The Wynaut ate the bun. Yeah, that's it.

"...uhm... ok?" Maia rose an eyebrow at this peculiar pokemon. It.. was alive, and had the drive to stay that way, but... nothing else. No sounds... no movement... just... stillness. Maia shrugged it off, figuring this one just had a case of poobrain. "Eh.... Wynaut?" OHARCEUS. had she just made a pun?! noooooooo!!!!!

Blinking at the resting Pokemon, Tails looked to his SNAG for the first zebra-looking Pokemon he could find. He came to number five-hundred-something, then handed the device to Tristen. "It's something called a Blitzle, and will grow to something like two and a half feet."

Tails stood aside Tristen, curious eyes sizing up the Pokemon. Then, he turned and brandished his tails at it. "I bet I know a warm place to put him," he said. "If it's a him."

"Hmmm. 'Ard choice." Throwing his other Pokemon out of their Pokeballs, Reno grabbed his homemade Shellder bazooka and loaded it with Tesei. Having Phemes float it up so it was aiming for her head should she stand, Reno walked back over to her. "Tesei, if she attacks, use Brine and aim to hit her in the head. Snips, Vine whip and tie her down. Fenrir, Dragon Rage before the previosuly mentioned fire."

Reaching down, he pulled the Dark Gem off of her. Preparing for the worst, his hand was already at his nightstick.

Waving his Pokemon down, Reno walked over to the woman. Looking her dead in the eye, he said, "No meteorite to channel the chi or Pokemon to convert it for you. So no powers for you. Hows that feel? I tried the meteorite out, it does seem to be a quick step to being a Channeler. Except you don't get the control over yourself or the power, just power. So hows it feel knowing you need to work for your powers now?"

"Chosen, my tail." Ceramew would huff, coming in near Reno and Io. She hadn't caught much of the conversation at all; only what Io had just spouted. "If you ask me, you're delusional."



Elsewhere in HQ, Sol would be typing something up. He had received an event log, from Sub. Apparently some odd outing in the Dark Cave over in Johto... on top of that, the events were just... yeesh. In a way, it reminded him of some of the personal demons he had to fight way back when.

"Given what I'm reading here, I'm almost amazed you would submit this log to me. Makes me wonder just what you may be getting yourself into... I know you'll keep yourself safe as you continue your endeavors, but just remember that we're here if things start to... no, I won't humor myself with that train of thought. Regardless, Sub, you've got my interest. I know it's not much, but I've got a few Snag Coins laying around... about five of them, probably from one of the shopkeeps dropping them on an outing. I'll send those your way as a mild compensation. Until that next task, I'm afraid I'll have to agree with whatever's speaking to you and suggest getting some rest. As I see it, it'll be your best bet.

He'd have the message sent afterward, alongside the transfer. "He would go after the wilder element..." He commented to himself, though he did have his confidence in Sub.

Krystal strolled into HQ, Liz on her heels. The girl was perspiring heavily and she had a towel around her neck. The two had been training quite a bit, battling any and all wild Pokemon and trainers they could come across. They had also been exercising like mad, running up and down Mt.Silver

"Man, that was a great workout, don't you think, Liz?" She looked down at the Charmander who nodded, exhausted.
