colon bracket Hmm, haven't been here in a while. My father killed himself on February 6th. Six days after my 22nd birthday. Trying to put my life back together. He left me with an upside down mortgage and his 4 dogs. And $8 in his bank account. No life insurance. I was slapped with a $7,300 funeral bill since LAPD wouldn't pay for it. A police officer memorial fund saved us by contacting us and paying for the entire bill. The head of the memorial fund knew my father personally. He had a police officer's burial, and it was lovely. I have to leave the only home I've ever known and move in with my grandma. I went broke while living here and helping him save this house. I'll stay with my grandma for 6 months - 1 year. I need to save money and get back on my feet and then get a place on my own with my boyfriend and maybe a few room mates. So in one day I lost my father, my home, and my boyfriend and I have to live separately (we both lived with my dad). I have to find a new job and I have a new commute to school. Life sucks.
oh my god. i can't imagine how awful that must be. i'm so sorry.

s**t..that really does suck. I'm sorry that happened, but I hope you're able to piece your life back together. There's nothing I can say to try and make you feel better, so I won't bullshit it..I know what it's like to lose a parent, though not in the way it happened to you. So, all I can really offer is a ear (or rather eyes) if you need to talk, and e-hugs. *hugs*
