Had kind of an interesting experience in my feminism class today.

We were handed a hypothetical situation, instructed to get into groups of two and decide how we'd respond to it. The situation my partner and I got was one where man comes from another country on a school visa, falls in love with man, can't get married and visa expires. Let him stay or deport?

Well my partner, who is entirely friendly, I discovered is also fairly socially conservative. Pro-life, not comfortable with gay marriage, believes in slippery slope fallacy. We discussed at length why he should or should not stay. While we couldn't agree on that point, we found ourselves agreeing about the institution of marriage and how it shouldn't be necessary, and arguably not sufficient in the way that it us "used and abused", and that the laws should be revised.
I've never run into anyone who held conservative ideas but was able to come to at least some sort of compromise with. It gave me a bit of hope.

i just spent the past hour or so digging through ooooold old threads in this guild.
made me sad and miss people sososo much. :/

I was going through my phone and deleting old contacts and I found a surprising amount of old members' numbers in my phone. sad

yeah, i have quitde a few... got yours, moose's, KAV's, and i don't even know who else, cuz my phone is broke right now ><

i would die to have patience's number.

I'm not sure it's current, the last time I texted her on it was about a year or 2 ago *shrugs* oh, and I remember, I also have Rick's, and Higgums I think, oh and Amanda, but I don't remember what her username used to be... she was here around when i first joined and stopped coming when she moved to Chicago.
again, not sure how many of those numbers are up to date though xD

Yeah, as far as I can remember she changed her phone number like twelve times. Drew was the last person to have contact with her, I believe. I have Moose's sister's number?
